[Q] Touch Buttons Problem - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hi,
One of the two touch buttons is causing problems on my phone. The light gets turned off (i.e. Its acting as if I am pressing that touch key but am not) and hence my touch screen stops responding. My phone is out of warranty and It didn't fall on ground/into water for such error to take place.
Please suggest something.
Thanks in anticipation.

what rom/kernel are you using?

[i9023] Software problem or broken touchscreen?

Hi everybody!! I'm new in the forum and in the androids world!
It have been passed less than three weeks since I've bought my new Nexus s.
It uses to work fine until this morning. A portion of the touchscreen stopped to react to the touch.
For example in the landscape mode I'm unable to use all the second line of the keybord, instead in the normal mode I can't press the 'e','d' and 'x' letters or the microphone button. I'm using the cyanogen mod and with the normal theme, when I'm on the homepage, I can't press the phone button (the virtual button on the left of the menu button).
When I use this vertical area, the phone sometimes react like if I perss another part of the screen or does not react at all.
I've read that there were some problem with the touchscreen of the nexus s with samoled screen, but I've the european versione with the slcd screen! What can I do? For you what is the problem?
Sorry for my english and thank you for the help!

[Q] [X10] Motherboard with water damage - repair ?

Hi there,
sorry for starting a new thread, but there are some special circumstances which are making me to think that the device can be brought back to life again
a got a broken x10 from a friend of mine. it had a water damage, but can still be powered on (vibrates on press of power button). MTP also works, so i think android boots up completely. the problem: the display does not work. first, i thought of a damaged display, so i switched the motherboard only in my old x10, which works. but, the same problem here, the display stays black. The notification LED works, and the left LED at the Hardware Buttons (Home, Back, Drawer), too.
Touch is working, too. If i press the Home Key (usually the lockscreen would appear) and touch the display, where the unlock slider should be, the phone vibrates.
So i concluded, that the malfunction of the display must be caused by the motherboard.
And here is the question - if all except the display is working, is there any chance to bring the device completely back to life ? Any advices ?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Problem with proximity sensor on Moto G

The problem is like this:
SOMETIMES when I call someone, the screen turns off without approaching the phone to my ear. The screen is not turning off by pressing the power button or the volume buttons (I enabled using GravityBox to turn on the screen using the volume keys).
After I end up the call, after a couple of seconds, the phone comes back to normal.
Once again, this behavior appears just SOMETIMES! Usually I don't have this problem!
Any ideas to how so solve this problem?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, its just a glitch, it happens to me sometimes too , when i put it on speaker and i get close to the phone , the screen turns off and it comes back after a while. it doesn't bother me too much. It might be that the sensor is too sensitive. Have you tried a custom rom ?
This issue happens to my son's phone too.
Anyway, it shouldn't be random, please double check if it happens ALWAYS after a phone reboot, this is the behaviour of mine
I want the moderator to ban me.
display issue
Hello,
I have started to face the same issue mentioned above.
On googling I came across the motorola forum (google search: Moto G Proximity Sensor Software Issue)
It seems the issue is being discussed there and apparently they need more moto g users with this issue to help them out solve this.
On using z device i noticed the proximity sensor value stuck at 3 with no change covered/not covered (sensor) [Phone running without restart for 6+ hours]
After restarting the phone the sensor value in z device changes. 100 (uncovered) to 3 when covered.
I will keep checking this every few hours to see when does the proximity sensor stop working without restarting the phone. (uptime)
Can the DEV's here help us out? looks like Motorola may take some time in finding a solution to this issue.
This seems to have went away with 4.4.3 and the new Dialer app.

[Q] Ulephone P6 Screen Unresponsive

Hi, I just purchased a brand new Ulephone P6 and noticed that the screen occasionally becomes unresponsive. I can press the power button but not anything else. The only solution I've found is to remove the battery and power it back on. This is a completely retarded fix for a brand new phone; dose anyone know of a solution?

it is the touchscreen's problem, you have to replace the screen.sir.
Well, I am not about to replace the digitizer for a brand new phone; but I did find an easier fix than pulling the battery out.
A few things I should have mentioned.
1) The unresponsive screen only occurs when the screen is activated via opening the flip case (gesture sensing)
2) I am using a GO Locker app but I haven't ruled out whether or not the unresponsive screen also occurs with the stock lock screen
Anyway, I just press the power button off and back on and the screen is responsive again.
Weird but it works for now; it is either something to do with the gesture sensing activation of the screen or the GO Locker app or maybe even a combination of the two together. If anyone has run into this problem let me know thanks. :good:

I am not sure but it looks that your touch screen is damaged. One my sister had dropped her magnus mobile accidentally then touch was not working in middle part. So she had to replace her whole touch screen. Her model was white one.

Yes it is clear that your touch panel is damaged, go to the service centre and repair it as soon as you can
If your mobile is white then only touch will be replaced. Service center charges 2350 ₹ including tax.
If its blue, then whole touch n display will be replaced. Service centre charges 6350 ₹.
If its in warranty then you are lucky.
