you probably didn't do a complete wipe before flashing
No but I did format system , data , boot , from the recovery mode I think it's the same
Or not plz help me
Try one of the alternate kernels on his second post in his thread, and do a cache and dalvic wipe
Sent from the future to put right what once went wrong.
I flashed the UNIVERSAL CF-ROOT KERNEL by amit.bagaria.
Developer also gave an apk utility to convert rfs partitions to ext4. This boots up the CWM recovery and changes the partition to ext4.
I tried that out, but \system was failing everytime. \data, \dbdata and \cache were converted to ext4.
Someone recommended another script by the name of skin. In this script update.zip changes every partition to ext4.
The procedure mentioned was just
1. make a nandroid backup
2. flash the script without rebooting (converts to ext4)
3. and still without rebooting, restore the nandroid backup you just made.
I did exactly as mentioned, till 2nd step it went good. Successfully converted. But it could not restore the nandroid backup to the converted partitions. I even tried an older nandroid backup but \system cannot be restored anyhow.
And the phone is stuck on a bootloop. Recovery and download mode are still preserved, so it means its just a soft brick...
I'm planning to download an ICS rom (RemICS rom).
1. It gives a zip file. Will flashing it just through a CWM recovery finally install the new firmware or will I have to use ODIN for it ??
2. And what about the partitions, do they have to converted back to rfs before flashing?
3. Or suggest how to get the nandroid backup working again ?
P.S. I presently don't have a wi-fi, just a low bandwidth limited edge connection. So, please suggest ROM which is stable for everyday usage and has good battery life.
Lol first time I heard someone fail the procedure. Has been working for me all the time. Anyway try wiping data and se if it boots. Then if it does try restoring the backup. To install remics, just have cwm and any ics/gb rom on your phone. Then wipe data, flash, wipe caches, reboot
Cheers

Wiping data didn't help. It gets stuck on the boot animation and stays there, then goes on bootloop.
Did you too had cf-root by amit.bagaria, before using this script ?
Suggest the GB Rom I should flash ?

Hmmm... just give it a shot for RemICS ROM its pretty darn good
Follow these steps
1. Flash XXKPQ via ODIN using guide Here Please follow exactly.
2. Flash Universal CF-Root by amit Here
3. Boot into recovery by powering off your phone then holding volume up+ home key then power button after 0.5s
4. Install zip from sd card-> choose zip from sd card->RemICS
5. After ROM is finished flashing dont reboot. Wipe cache partition and dalvik cache. DO NOT wipe data/factory reset.
6. Reboot system now.
7. Wait for about five minutes or longer for boot. may take a bit longer.
8. Once reboot, enjoy!
Anyway softbrick is never a huge issue

Thanks for the solution. I am gonna try it out soon.
And btw, why have you recommended XXKPQ, won't flashing a single GB rom be sufficient ?
XXKPQ would need flashing firstly with XXKPE, and as I told I have a slow and limited internet presently. So was wondering if only XXKPE-->Root--> RemICS via CWM would work fine ?

XXKPE is unstable so it would be very unwise to flash that as a base. I highly recommend u follow my guide... XXKPE first because it has all files including Bootloader for gb for a clean install so as to avoid any problems down the road.

Finally i got a post on how to restore! Thanks
@crazbanditz
finally successfully flashed.
Xxkpe-xxkpq-rooted-remics.
Finally successful, thanks.
Few things I noticed with just an hour of flashing.
1. Bluetooth not working.
2. Just a bit laggy(sometimes)
3. Better battery
4. keyboard was better in stock (drops the tracking of path sometimes if less pressure is applied)
5. ICS is much better than GB, and surely has a lot of options in terms of functionality, makes life simpler.
Thanks & cheers.
Kudos to the developers again.

And I just installed the temple run and restored it's data from the older backup. Though I'll try to reinstall again.

Hi,
I have taken the code of G3MOD code and modded it for JB.
Also I have included the Bluetooth fix that I have done for ICS. Yeah the same fix is also available in JB.
Use this kernel with ICS & JB as the bluetooth fix is applied only to these two versions.
Try it out and let me know the comments.
Download Here
Thanks to all G3 developers.
Special Thanks to g3mod team, marcellusbe, hillbeast, cdesai.
If I forget to thank anyone it's not intended, PM me. I will thank you.
Note: I am not responsible for any damage caused to your phone (softbrick or hardbrick).
Thanks mate , Hope to see more development from your side as well ...to make G3 the best ever phone
Can you make a .tar version please? I can't flash it through CWM.... I flashed JB then without rebooting flashed this but it still didn't work... Same with gapps, they don't install for me...
I also can't flash this kernel either as it still says im on [email protected] #cm7_kernel_oc_1.8
Are we able to access CWM then?

If I install the kernel immediately after applying JB update then will I be able to access cwm the next time??

I have not tried with CM7. Use this kernel with ICS / JB as the bluetooth fix is applied only to these two versions. Will try with CM7 and update the kernel later.

Search the JB thread in the development section. He released a build but it is old and has quite a few bugs in it which he has fixed.

I'm new to the custom mod scene but finally really got feed up with the lag on my asus TF700T tablet. Although i made a couple of rookie mistakes, the install of Cromi-x 5.4 was fairly smooth. However, some of the appsi want to use now require a min android version 4.2.2 and Cromi-X is based on android 4.2.1. I thought i read that i can flash crombi-kk over CROMI-X, So I tried to flash Crombi-kk over Cromi-X. The flash went smoothly but when it booted, it appears to get stuck in the Crombi-kk boot animation screen. I let it sit for about 45 minutes with no change and recovered back to Cromi-X. I'm running ClockworkMod Recovery v 6.0.4.7. I think i saw another post recently that it may take up to 2 hours to build.
Was the system really stuck or was i just a bit too impatient? Can it take up to 2 hours in the boot animation screen?
I also tried to go back to the stock rom but the flash threw an error and aborted the flash process. If i need to go back to the stock rom, I will try again to get the exact error message.

I'd be willing to put money down that you dirty flashed CROMBi-KK over CROMi-X, which you can't do since they have a different base. Well - you can, but the result would pretty much what you are seeing now..
Wipe data, cache and dalvik in recovery, reflash CROMBi-KK and it'll boot.

I'm having the same issue. I've done a full wipe and I'm running TWRP 2.8.7.0 and it still gets stuck in the boot animation screen for crombi kk. My bootloader is cleanrom 3.4.7 10.4.4.25. How do you go about fix it?
If that info is correct (where did you find it?) you are on JB 4.1 bootloader and trying to run a KitKat rom. That won't work my friend.
You probably should start reading from scratch here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2688891
Start with post 3: "How to update your bootloader" because that is the first thing you need to do.
Then go to to the OP for basic info about flashing a recovery and rom.
Next update your recovery to the latest TWRP 3.0.x
Then format data in TWRP, change the file system on data to f2fs and flash either KatKiss Katshmallow or CROMi-X Resurrected (read post2 of that thread). Start with KatKiss, run it a while, then try CROMi-X or vice versa.
Profit

Another question: can I flash the asus bootloader over the custom bootloader is that' possible? I have cm-11.0-20140322-CROMBikk4.4.2-tf700t_Signed.zip downloaded. Is this the right one?
I think you are confusing a rom with a bootloader! That file you mentioned is a crombi rom, not a bootloader!
You do not have a custom bootloader. It is always the Asus BL, no matter which rom you are running.
Did you check your BL version as described in post 3 of my thread?
Believe me, you want to get this right! You can mess with a lot of stuff and get away with it. But not with a bootloader!
Check your BL version and post it here exactly as you see it on the tablet.

btw= by the way
I already tried this ROM and i'm sure that it fully supports Arabic, It was very smooth and handy, I used it for short minutes then I went back to MIUI because I didn't like the full grey design.
To install it, first at all, copy the zip file on your SD card, Boot into recovery mod, backup you current ROM to SD card in case something wrong happened. After that, wipe data and cache then flash Clean Kat, finally wipe dalvik cache and tap reboot system.
In case you got bootloop or you didn't like Clean Kat, just go back to twrp and restore your backup.

Clean Kat was very smooth, no bugs so far, didn't use it for much time, but I think everything is working fine, besides a liitle bug when scrolling through Download files, and there is no option to disable soft keys.
You can disable it by editing build.prop
