hi,
since i am not allowed to post in Android Developement Area, i try here, bcs i have severe problem with that rom using s-pen since 6.0. I think its an issue for european languages only what i have read so far, one from france and one from greece, i have a german one and in 5.1.1 everything runs just great, even no problems with google play like others have. Maybe someone has an idea what the issue causes, its my favorite rom since i tested all of them except ubuntu.
Thanx in advance, hope to be able to post in the other areas soon.

I read the wiki and most of messages for ROM WM2006, and i have a big question :
Any rom with french language ?
And with so many versions, what is the most stable and realiable version ?
A) It's WM6, not WM2006, they dropped the year from the name after 2003se.
B) Not sure, there are several localised versions, I am guessing someone has a French one ready built.
C) It seems to be largely a personal choice, I find Midget's, and the older Indra & Helmi roms to be the most stable, although Midget's latest one doesn't suffer from the memory leakage anywhere near as bad.
Several of the latest images have issues with WiFi connectivity when using WPA-TSK, and obviously Laurentis is here with videocall functionality, although I'm unsure if that's 100% or not.
So if this person could upload it...It will be nice and friendly

Hi Peeps, wondered if any of you Orange (UK) users had changed their Radio version and if so;
1) which one?
2) How does it rate (reception etc)
thanks for the feedback!
French One
Well... i just flashed HTC original ROM and then flashed the french rom 1.27.12.17.... dunno exactly how good it is... but till now seems to work fine.... though seems the original Orange UK rom has better camera performance But dunno try the French one or the US one just before the french listed in the radio page.

No-one can. It's not available.
Incidentally I use 1.27.12.17. I briefly tried 1.27.12.32, but went back to .12.17 as I found that it was giving me slightly better battery life.

1.) Test them yourself
2.) Test it yourself.
Radio's / area differ from everybody. Just try out each one and see which one gives you the best result. That is the best way to tell.
Now if you would have said...everybody in London using Orange then that would have been different but just to simply say a whole country whill give you various reults dependent on region, etc. (I understand England is not that big)
There is already a radio sticky related to this post I suggest next to time to follow up there first instead of creating a new thread!
Hi,
Since I unlocked my Kaiser, I upgraded to .32, and it works just fine. I downloaded it from a thread on this site, where all radios are. Don't have the link handy right now, unfortunately.
Cheers.
Hi,
Just go to the radios thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349375 ), there you'll find all the information you need plus some more Knowledge about radios, gps, camera...
cheers
I'm using Dutty's 6.1 rom 20/2/8 ver, unlocked as well (Originally locked to Orange).
I upgraded the radio to 1.64.08.21 and no problems - been running for over a week so far. I would even go as far to say that the bluetooth volume has improved in my car with this version.
Go for it - it's worth it!
Hey,
I've just stumbled upon this community and I'm really grateful to see so many developers working on HTC Android devices. That said, I would like to ask for some info on the custom ROMs that work on Magic (features, differences, etc.).
Could outline them quickly or point to somewhere I can read that info?
Thank you so much!

Let me try:
Haykuro6.0r1 ROM:It's an HTC no Brand ROM, it still has problems like:volume of the micrphone(for the otherone on the phone it's difficult to hear you), and it's slower than the others.
Roger's ROM: it's still an HTC no Brand, but has some ION's improvements, that means it's faster than the 6.0r1, it has some apps pre-installed, microphone bug fixed, and other stuff (read the thread).
Hero ROM:it has Rosie, so it's graphically ahead of the others ROM, but it's not released yet by HTC, it means that it's incredible slow (compared to the others), and has lot of bugs (again: read the thread for more info)
France ROM: Never tried, but it should be (the releaser forgive me if I'm wrong) a Vodafone ROM , with ION's improvements, and JF kernel, that means it's fast, but you can't install HTC2s apps.
Every ROM's should ( not sure about it, again: read each thread) have tethering enebled, and everything working (except for the bluetooth in the Hero's ROM, that is not working yet)
If I've forget other ROMs sorry for that, but it's quite late here!
I'm sure somebody else could be more specific...
Thanks!
So what are the advantages of each ROM when compared to the default one? What's the difference between ION and the current ROM?
Also, just to make sure, rooting and installing custom ROMs doesn't void the warranty, does it?
XDA user simon walker created a build database for the Dream. Maybe he would be willing to do the same with Sapphire.

Thanks again!
So for battery life, speed and stability what would you suggest? (I need WiFi and A2DP too...)

hi and welcome to another round of neebish questions of the day...
i flashed new radio from stock to version 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M and started reading a bit after, after a while i became aware that changing the radio could affect battery life and also it could be wrong in terms of where i live in the world, ive had it on my phone for several hours, and it seems to be working well, but im just a noob..... how can i know
i was basicly wondering if anyone of u who actually know this stuff could confirm that i didnt do anything stupid ? im putting in the link to where i found the radio files (its posted in the comments on the page by rataplan626, its not the same radio as the one that originally was posted in the thread)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312144&page=5
thank you for great answers and for being patient with those of us that are new to all of the difficult terms and choices connected to rooting and stuff i hope someday i will be just as big of an resource as you guys
if the radio flashed then everything should be fine. The best way to test is to just use the phone. You won't notice much of a difference though but if you do then something may have gone wrong. But provided it was all done right, that radio should be fine. However, i should advise you flashing radios are not the safest thing for your phone. Also I don't think it makes much of a difference where you are. I flashed that same radio and it's all good for me.
I would advise searching around a bit more though. These questions have been answered many times before.
thnx then it should all be fine
Cheers ^^

Ok, I have recently installed the UK(Nordic) JB 8000 ROM onto my 8010 Note. It seems to be working just fine, except obviously it has the extra 3G and phone icons etc.
My plan was to use this tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982821) to fix these extra gubbins, and so carry on running JB until samsung finally get around to releasing my proper firmware.
Problem is however, the fix only seems to work on the original German release (on mine, I lose my notification bar and background image, probably a couple other things.)
So the question:
Does anyone know what changes/bugfixes/optimisations the newer ROMS have over the original 1-month-old German release?
I'd assumed the original one was essentially a test run, and the new ones had various fixes, hence wanting to run the updated roms.
If anyone can let me know, it would be a big help I'm still working on getting the fix to work on the new UK ROM, but just in case I would like to know my options!
Thankyous
One thing I noticed in a different thread, is that airplay and the Peel IR remote didnt work in the old German version.. I didnt realise there were even that many issues with it, I expected minor stuff only.
Edit: Damn, this was meant to be an edit, not a new post. Must learn not to post when I'm hungry.

Actually I'm running the German version on my N8013 and Peel works fine. Don't know about airplay since I've never used it. Heck, I don't even know what it is.

I dont use AirPlay either, it was just an example that the old ROM had various issues and bugs... or at least so I read.
Strange yours works, are you using the old german ROM? or the new one? I think it got a bugfixed version at the same time the UK/Nordic/etc ones got released
