Desperate for simple autofire app - Android Apps and Games

hi,
ive spent weeks searching for a simple autofire or turbofire app for android.
all i wanna do is put autofire on a single butt so i dont have to keep banging away on a single button in emulators like mame reloaded or final burn alpha
(why did the authors of these emus take out autofire in the control options of these emus ?, the psp etc emus all have autofire, but for some stupid reason it seems android users must suffer the irksome stupid pastime of rapidly banging away on tacky little buttons whilst shaking their device to oblivion)
cheers

Porting games

Is there a way to port the old dos-95-98 games to ppc, if theres any tutorials or out that would be great, because i dont mind porting alot of games to this language, after all ive heard good game conversions to 4-5 days
thanks
You would need the source code of the games you want to convert. Otherwise, you need an emulator for the OS/Game, or you need to rewrite the game by reverse engineering. 4-5 days would be optimistic for that.

thanks for the fast reply, I have a source code for a game I want yes
this game is homeworld - space strategy, its specs fit into the uni and I would resize textures and redo meshing on the models too
any thoughts
if i were you i'd contact some of all those people who
ported games like doom1-2 quake1-2 dukenuke'm heretic, hexen
personaly i think homeworld use soo much direct3d that
it's not likely that it will work software renderd
or even with the current 3d chips on pda's but who knows

Iphone apps for touch pro?

Heya, does anybody know if there is an emulator or something that allows you to play iphone apps on the touch pro? Or if there is any similar physics games to it.
//Benmuskler
no of course not
but heres a physics game
http://www.fuzemobility.com/numpty-physics-ported/#comments
the iphone use the same type of cpu as wm phones but another os
emulating them would be like emulating mac programs on a pc
you can kinda do it using wmware an an intel mac os disc
but it's 1000 times slower then you'd like
same would hold true for emulating iphone programs
which is why nobody have botheted spending the many man months trying
to make it work
in which case fancy stuff like physics and such would never be likely to be included

What's the deal with console emulation development on Windows Mobile lately?

Is it me, or has there been a huge lapse in development of console emulators for WM OS? Even updates of any emulator seems to have lapsed for a long time. There hasn't been any new updates or releases on many for several years. I'm not complaining, I just want to know why everything seems to have almost come to a halt. That and most of what is out there is either extremely buggy or doesn't work on many newer devices. Take a look at Pocket Coleco for example. yeah I know that is an ancient console dated to the early 80's. But, that was one of my favorite systems way back when...and well... Pocket Coleco just don't work right at all. The sound is totally screwed up and the controls don't work on many games. I'm sure P.C. worked very well on PPC's way back when WM 2002 etc was the current standard.
Any comments on this?

Anyone figured out how to make roller coaster tycoon playable on android?

Cause I checked its system specs and its not taxing at all on most devices. Can any of you heavenly xda developers figure this out
wait, are you talking about the Windows XP version?
if so, someone would have to start from scratch to create it. first of all, you can't just port a game with the click of a button because of the different Java languages (C#, C++, etc.) and the fact that you would have to map out touchscreen itself, make it fit a smaller screen , and make use of hardware buttons and similar things.
actually, it would be much easier to start from scratch than use a prexisting code from what i've heard...
i'm not a dev (well, i'm learning!) but that is what i do know from experience and things that I've read.
but yeah, im there with you... there's a few iOS apps that i would kill to have on my android ;3

[EMU] aFBA 0.2.97.35 - Irem hardware question

Hi, I've been using this emulator for a while now, mostly playing Capcom games from the CPS1 to CPS3 era. I'm now looking at some Irem games, mainly the R-Type series, and specifically R-Type Leo. I grabbed the ROM's, loaded them into aFBA and hit Play but get nothing but a blank screen.
I figured I probably have the wrong romset but I can find little info about alternatives. I've tried R-Type, R-Type 2 and R-Type Leo, all different hardware, several different ROM's and get the same result for all - the various files within the zip appear to load, but then I'm left with a blank screen.
As far as I can see, FBA has all three games as compatible, not sure from which version but by 0.2.97.35 which is where the Android port is at, it sure seems to be.
Does anyone understand what might be happening here? I'm playing these on a Wikipad which has been pretty good for the CPS stuff. If it can handle CPS-3, I see no reason why Irem's 'M' hardware would cause it to struggle.
I'm not looking for working ROM's or anything, I just want to understand what might be happening so that I can learn and move on.
Thanks, Hayden
