For those who want a high quality bluetooth speaker that has a battery back, check out this unit. It's 50% off at AT&T B&M store or online. for $149.99. It's $300 pretty much every where else. It even has NFC and QI Charging for wireless charging those phone that support it. Unfortunately it won't charge the S4 which I though has QI charging. Maybe it's a driver thing.
The speaker does sound superb. Better than the Big Jambox in my opinion.

Did you buy the wireless charging back cover? The S4 supports QI via the optional purchase of the qi-enabled battery door cover.

Yeah it would. If you're not in a rush, you should wait for chinese aftermarket qi adapters. They cost significantly cheaper than the official qi cover and I believe it does not add to the thickness unlike the official cover
This looks cool. Might be good for the kitchen.
I have been playing this in the operating room all day today. The sound quality especially bass response is just amazing even with suction, loud nurses, anesthesia machine. I ordered an aftermarket QI charging receiver. If it works this speaker would be unreal.

Is the Seidio 1600mAh battery the only one out there that will work with the multimedia dock? It seems to me that a larger battery could be combined with a slightly bulging back cover and still fit in the dock. Anyone seen anything like that? 1600 mAh just doesn't seem worth the expense.
Jason
I have the seido 3000 mah. It will fit into the standard desk dock. It angles out a bit, but it works without a problem.
Wow! I'm really surprised that it fits. Hopefully it isn't bending the usb port too much. Thanks!

Hi Jason,
I am in the same boat. I have a Samsung Epic 4G and 3 of these docking station chargers (home, office, shop). They are Samsung Multimedia Desktop Docks.
I am probably going to go with the Seidio extended 3000 mah battery.
Does it put an excessive stress on the phone port?
Thank you.
I've been using it for about a week without an issue. The angled top of the back cover allows the phone to slide into the charger. It was a little snug to slide it in, but didn't take any excessive force or bending of the port.

Do you have any pics you could post that show it in the dock. I saw the sprint deskdock while in one of their stores this weekend.

i opened up the dock and saw i can use a dremel and cut out where the battery comes out to
Seido 3000 in dock
Here is a picture. Excuse the quality.
I also want this but I want to mod the car dock as well. I am just a little nervous. I was going to attempt drilling the whole to use the camera while driving and then wondered if the slide option will still work right. I am really nervouss to mess with it for an extend battery though even worse.
I never considered placing the phone in the dock where it hangs halfway off the dock like that, but I'm doing it now...for the day. I will be dremeling away the necessary material to make it fit in the dock as it should, I don't like it putting pressure on the port like that. I bought some extra docks, found some on eBay for $10 each shipped, so if I destroy it, so be it. Once completed, I'll post up some pics.
Once the powers that be get TV Out working (fingers crossed), I'm going to gut a dock and mold in a charging port and seperate 3.5mm connector so that I can use it to feed a signal to the deck in my vehicle. It's nice that using the dock feeds sound through the MicroUSB, but I've also noticed that sometimes I get static from charging and it doesn't allow me to adjust the bass while using VooDoo Sound Control.
Is your "speaker line out" on the back of your docking station working.?. if so, how did you get it to work.?.
Thanks.

August accessory of the month is inductive covers. Verizon's deal is if you buy The charging PAD you get a free inductive charging cover for your phone. Not a bad deal considering the pad alone is $70 (us) and the cover alone is $30. I tried to beat it with alternatives and I can't get the price that low unless you do a unofficial mod using the tombstones inductive charging method.
I am tempted to jump on this. reviews?
Charge inductive cover
The only thing holding me back is that it does not charge as quickly as the wall charger. It already takes long enough.
The downside is you can't have a case on the phone though (if it is true inductance).
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
most likely its a RFID resonating inductive circuit. It "should" allow charging through some cases. Maybe the thicker cases wont but there should be no problem with a gel or a thin plastic one. usually these devices will still charge even up to .5 inches from the pad itself. Since no iron core is present in these circuits the inductive force disperses quicker the farther it is away from the pad. If not enough the pad wont even try to charge the phone My sister has a wii inductive charger and she also has a pretty thick gel case on it, The inductive charger for that charges with the remote lifted a good .5 or better before it doesn't charge
I read or heard that it will charge through a case.
That would definitely be cool if it would work through 85% or better of the cases out there. I have an Incipio Silicrylic coming in a couple days which is thicker than the gel cases so I wonder if it would work through that.
Not sure I would spend $70 for it though.
Be aware that the caseback is thicker than the standard caseback and thus will not fit inside the car dock OR the desk cradle.
Also, I had to call Customer Service in order to get refunded the price of the caseback, it didn't show up as free in my cart nor after I completed my order.
Overall, it's a nifty gimmick....but i'm still on the fence about keeping it. It's getting a little frustrating removing the caseback everytime I want to dock my phone on my nightstand or put it in the car-dock when I go for a drive.
good to know it is larger. Probably be a good reason for me not to get this then. I have a hard case that clips into a holster (verizons case) I suspect this would only work with loose hardcovers or gel\soft covers
so... anyone know any cases that will fit this? I have a standard silicon case from verizon (which it charges through btw) and it only sort of fits.

I guess I was a little vague haha good question. It slides on, covers the top and bottom (as in the headphone jack lines up as does the tiny mic hole), but the sides are about 1cm too short to cover the phone adequately. That means the volume buttons for me are hard to manage because they're beneath the rim of the case, rather than lining up where they should be.
I'm wondering if anyone got a more pliable rubber case to work or something.

Hey, I'm a representative from Energizer. This sounds like a great deal from Verizon, but I just wanted to let you know that we also make a great inductive charging pad called the Energizer Inductive Charger.
If you buy the inductive cover for your Samsung Droid Charge it will work seamlessly with our charging pad thanks to the Qi wireless standard. Just set your phone on the charging pad and it will start charging your battery.
If you're interested, it's available at Target, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com and HomeDepot.com

THIS!!! There was a thread about some one making a car dock for the N4 using magnets on the dock, so the N4 will attach. If ProClip could make a Qi wireless charger integrated into a car dock using magnents.... I'LL PAY $100 !!!
The nexus 4 holders are now in stock at proclip and I just ordered mine.
Trying to decide which Nexus 4/ProClip holder to get... I am using the Diztronic TPU case (matte black, if it makes a diff). Should i get the "standard" Nexus 4 ProClip, or the one designed for "medium cases"?
Thanks
Depends if you want to bother removing it or not. If you get the standard you can have an integrated charger.
Shameless self-promotion: Message me if you'd be interested in the standard holder with charger, I'm looking to get rid of mine haha.

You might want to take a look at the Owl CarPad: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029734
It's not perfect. I was going to go with the ProClip, as I always do, but this time I wanted something where I could leave my case/bumper on. The Owl CarPad excels at letting me keep my bumber or any other case on, and still charge the phone. Now, the charge is very low, but it still charges. I'm not happy with the results, but it still charges while playing music, very very easy to dock and remove. And all while keeping my case on.

Generic ebay reciever: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251278521078?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Im charging at 640
No NFC testing yet
I purchased this wireless charger from ebay. It fits pretty well with almost no bulge at all. You have to literally be feeling for a "warp" in the plastic to see it. Using the charging utility I also see 640. Something tells me that charging utility is not properly reporting the amps like it should be. The charger that I am using is available here. I can say that wireless charging is amazing to have and makes life a ton easier.
I just got the metrans as well, I noticed the same things.
the bulge is almost non-existant, I'm still waiting for the WiQiQi version that I ordered from their indiegogo campaign.
the contacts don't seem to hold on well I guess that's why the tape is there. also the marking on the receiver says 640mA so that's right.
I would be worried if it was outputting more than the rated amps.

great idea. I just added that to OP
Using Metrans receiver and generic charge pad.
I peeled of the exterior labels to make it thin add possible.
Visually the bump is barely visible, but it's very noticeable when attempting to use the phone while it's on a flat surface.
When charging back of the phone gets hot to the touch.
Ordered yijieneng (sp) receiver that promises no bump.

Deductive reasoning.
Wiqiqi was delayed. Released only after the Chinese Aftermarket receiver was released. They look identical. 1+1=2

if that was the case then im sure everyone including myself would not be too happy if it was just a generic Yienji (sp) receiver.
We'll see when I finally receive it.
anywho, I tried the metrans on my friend's S4 the bulge is hardly noticeable on the white. but the crappy part is that it would not fit all the way on the Spigen Slim Armor case.
That means it wont work on my Neo Hybrid. I'm gonna have to sell this receiver, anyone wants it hit me up lol, it's already in the states.

This is true, it's just a rebadged of the chinese version, i'm sure if someone that coulds open the unit, the circuit is made by yijieneng, and there is no way yijieneng is owned by monsterwatts.
Got my Metrans transmitter yesterday...still waiting for my receiver for the S4. Tested it with my old S3 and worked great.
Amps?
What is the highest amperage, typical, that a wirless charging base will deliver?
Are we talking 650mA? Or 1A? Or 2A?
I think I saw a picture of someone selling a receiver (the part you put in the phone) that indicated a 1A rating. What about the base stations?
If you could get a receiver that could dump more than 1A.... would the base stations supply more than 1A?
Just looking for the thinnest, fastest charger. Know what I mean?
Thanks guys.

Most transmitter states the output upto 1A, and receiver also upto 1A, but I have a receiver which I get 1698mAh, so it's either the apps galaxy charging current is incorrct or the charging unit can output more current.
It has also been mentioned that the amount of current is limited by the phone, not the receiver.
For anyone who ordered the WiQiQi from Vivealive this is the receiver and pad that they send:
NFC works! (but not through the receiver, just the lower half of the battery that it doesn't cover)
Also pictured right is Note 2 NFC antenna extender I bought just in case
I'm looking to spend no more than $15 for a Qi charger, can you recommend one of the cheap Chinese ones from eBay or AliExpress that work well with the Nexus 4?
From Amazon, look up LuguLake Qi-Enabled Wireless Standard Charger. I can't post URLs yet, or else i would post it. It's $18.99USD.
I bought this about 2-3 weeks ago. I use it daily at work. It takes ~1hr longer to charge than just connecting to wall directly, but that's no problem for me personally. It is a bit elevated from the bottom and has a small fan, which does take away a lot of the heat it generates. I recommend leaving the protective cover on the pad itself, it is pretty slick so the phone can slide off if its a bit angled.

I ordered mine from DX. It is now currently 17.99 (23% OFF). Works well, and I have implimented this into my desk. (cut size out, put really thin layer of wood over top, glued back in. It looks like part of my desk now, just put a small outline of where it is with some weak magnets to hold it in place)
