As all the dual core devices eats as much battery, Micromax Canvas 2 A110 is one of them. So by disabling one core you save more!!
Here is a link..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091936
Or you can directly download it from here... its on play store!! But use at own risk, with precaution!..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS52b2xjb25lLnhjb3JlIl0.
Good for those who don't play heavy/HD Games and want best battery backup...
Hit thanks if i helped!

i think it is by default i am saying this because when u download any cpu control app like no frills cpu control the default governor is hybrid and hybrid starts the second core when the 1 core get overload so no need of this app !

Agree with you.. but when phn is ideal many backgroud running apps unnecessary consuming both cores. So there it helps..

Hey guys.. So I've seen 2 kernels that claim overclock.. One is for 800MHz, and the other is for 1.3GHz(or something)...
But some people have been reffering to these as fake..
So, my question is :
1) How were these achieved(if real)??
2) How were these faked(if not real)??
Is it something like editing a 'build.prop' file to show a different version of android??
I've found some references relating to overclocking in the ICS/JB 2.xx kernel source..
So I'd like to know how the 2 already available overclocks were done/faked... :good:
take a look at this , you have to add oc clock frequencies and enable oc ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26929519&postcount=24
1.3Ghz...seriously...yeah i saw it in youtube too but if its real then he will have to buy a new phone as his cpu will be a barbecue toast soon.
besides the life of cpu also depends on binning , fabrication etc..so few cpu's can handle OC but few cannot
Yeah sure man over clocking is possible with kernel modification but there is only considerable change in our phone performance but some people made a video on YouTube like playing high HD games in their phone after over clocking but these games are running under normal CPU speed itself those videos alone fake.
Really they archived not a fake one..
But over clocking surely spoil our device because the heat sink system designed for working under that temperature only ,
over heating will spoil our devices soon.
I hope u got , why all saying it will spoil our device..
I hope the above information will help u...

Explained nicely... Thanks.. I dnt wanna overclock.. Just wanna know how they were done.. Cleared things up..
use set cpu app ....and try it ur urself ...im warning u it is harmful for ur device ...
Underclock
Hai here one more information for u..
Overclock is not recommended but UnderClock will increase Ur batter life man under on deman CPU governance. Set ur CPU minimum overclock to as possible as low..

Setting the max speed to 480 will reduce Ur phones performance.Setting minimum speed at 122Hz will make u phone to run at 122Hz when ever u are not in need of that much CPU processing but i will automatically adjust the speed as Ur process need..

Sure man for ur usage its not laggy really.
cool....
Need a little help here guys. I tried at least 3 CPU control programs. But after some time the 2nd core always lower itself which causes lag in some games.
This is something to do with the kernel or the rom? Luxandroid ROM, poppy kernel. Where I can find and disable system CPU control? Thanks!
If your games are lagging check your ram usage.
It is also happens beacause of high ram usage.

400+ available ram, I must manually push core1 frequency to max and the problems are solved. IN some time I must do it again and again... so what could cause this?

Increasing battery life
These things can really increase battery life
1)Use original charger provided with the device.
2)Use optimization apps(Du battery,worked well for me)
3)Set screen timeout to lowest possible value that you can take.
4)Always charge when your battery is less than 20%,it provides healthy charging
Disable logging saves a bit of battery

It's fast already. What is the need to overclock??
ok so you mean to say we should not do anything to improve our device just because its ok ?
if you think its fast then have a look at other (costlier) devices then you will realize what's really fast.
overclocking would make a big difference .

Why do you need to overclock it. Expensive phones don't bring major difference. Micromax C2+ can play high-end games without lag, play 1080p vidoes using software decoder in MX Player or many other player... What else you want?
Still mad for overclocking? Try SetCPU it works.
still the scrolling is not smooth enough
on facebook app ,scrolling sucks
fone has minor frame drops sometimes, all this can be overcome by overclocking.
setcpu just allows to set cpu frequency to max , thats not overclocking, earlier i had a 1 ghz device and it was overclocked to 1.4 thats what you call overclocking
Sent from my Micromax A110Q using xda app-developers app
hum overclock kiye hai lekin kisi ko batayenge nahi
:/
last time my friend lost his note 2 by over clocking :/
smooth scrolling issues can be fixed by using custom roms including that feature
i have been using overclovked devices for years
nothing ever happened, there is a limit which should b kept in mind while doing all this, my streak is 3 years old, overclocked to 1.4 ghz never caused a problem
my galaxy s and s4 also overclocked for a long time, so i think overclocking to a certain range wont affect anything

Mediatek Cips don't support over clocking. They have some limiter sort but it can be overlooked with hardware modifications!
Samsung phones uses Qualcomm chips which has overclocking functionality! If you use app or kereel to OC the CUP tries to get peak OC but won't and get heat ups quickly.

What you are asking is CPU Core Governance. It is possible only in Custom Kernels. Stock kernel is does not support CPU Governers and Overclocking which is added in custom kernel.
Even with any CPU governer apps you cannot enable that on Stock Kernel.
BTW stock kernel uses all 4 cores when required. Keeping remaining cores idle and using them when big application asks is common strantegy of stock kernel. It save battery also.
If any small app like file manager or gps can run superfact with one or two cores, then why 4 cores will be required?
Please dont mind but , your idea of using 4 cores for no reason is funny. lolz In fact I laughed a lot. Please dont mind.
PS: Its better ask questions in right place and be organized on XDA.
Hmmmm
Ok thanks for ur suggestions

Agree with Mahendra's response. The very reason hotplug feature was introduced in popular governors like OnDemand/Interactive was to make optimal use of processing cores. There's no reason why all cores should go online when there aren't enough demanding processes/threads.
