Broken Screen, can't unlock phone, any way to open from pc? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi
I broke my phone by jumping and it flew out my pocket, the screen shattered and then someone hit my phone out my hand today and now the screen won't turn on. The phone works fine, just the screen is black. I can't unlock it, it has a pin on it so I can't retrieve all my data especially the data not backed up online... This is a huge problem as I need it for work.
Is there any way I can use some type of emulator on my PC to use my mouse to unlock the phone?
I have bitdefender on my phone, I also have splashtop. Is there any way I can use either of these?

Way to view/control screen without touching phone?

Dropped my phone down a stairwell and the screen is broken and does not come on. I have a replacement screen coming, but want to be able to take some backups just in case.
Is there a way to view, and control, the screen, without the screen itself working? I've tried Android Screencast but can't get control. Any tips?

TeamViewer is free for personal use and lets you remote in and control the device, you can also try Android VNC Server, but if you cannot see the screen these would be had to setup or open.
I have TeamViewer installed, but see no way to log into the phone without being able to start the app and see the screen.

My only other suggestion would be to setup adb on a pc and pull the files you need through that.
Just to follow up, I was able to find no way to control the phone. Replacing the screen/digitizer was quick and very easy, though. Took less than 10 minutes.
Did you enable the USB Debugging? if so, you can control use adb, otherwise, there is no way.

[Q] Screen Cracked, can't unlock phone.

I dropped my Lumia 820 and the screen has a small crack in it.
Now a few parts of the touch screen won't function anymore, so i can't enter the last number for my unlock code.
Is there any way i can get rid of the unlock screen, or remotely access the phone with an external keyboard?
I tried to access the Phone from my PC through "Project my screen" app, but i can't enable that in my phone unfortunately.
I would like to keep all my files and recover it, or simply by making a backup to put on my OneDrive.
Do you have any suggestions or tips for this?

Really wierd issue

Ok so my phone's screen is perfect, the display is not broken or scratched or anything like it. But in a vertical line on the right side of the screen almost at the end, it doesn't respond, the phone its perfectly fine but on that vertical line of the screen it does not get any of my touch input. I have the show touches feature from the developers options enabled so I can see exactly where the phone screen doesn't work.
The thing is now I can't enter my security pattern to unlock my phone, and before sending it to get fixed (and I know its probably gonna need a new screen) I wanto to backup my files and photos saved on the device but since I cant enter the pattern on the screen the phone wont let me access it via USB.
Anyone know how I can access my phone now? If I do a factory reset it will erase the pattern but also the personal data I want to recover?
Is this a firmware issue? or Hardware issue? Maybe some inside connection for the display got loose or something since my screen is intact without a single dent or scratch.
Any other Ideas on how to backup my stuff from the computer? Maybe there is some program I dont know about.
Cheers in advance.

Pixel security flaw or just me?

My wife and I got a couple pixels back on black Friday, they've both been great. My wife switched from Apple so she enjoys pointing out all the things she doesn't like. She recently found one thing I can't explain. This works on both of our phones.
1. Phone locked, screen off
2. Press power button on side of phone. Phone goes to PIN unlock screen.
3. Try (unsuccessfully) to unlock using fingerprint scanner with an indirect finger. Use you pinky or whatever finger isn't loaded in your system yet
4. Message appears saying you've failed too many times, try again later
5. Swipe screen up.
6. Phone unlocks. Without ever entering your PIN!
Can anybody else repeat this? Google support chat is no help. I was told that if a factory reset doesn't solve the problem I would have to send the phones in for replacements.
Maybe you have smart unlock set up?
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Mine doesn't do that. Swipe up after failing fingerprint gets me to PIN.
Smart lock
I have smart lock set to keep my phone unlocked at home, in my wife's car and when I have a set of ear buds connected. Neither of those three were near or connected when I tested this thoroughly last night at dinner and this morning at work
Mine doesn't do that. I have smart lock for my blue tooth devices.
My pixel does not do this,I get asked for my pin
Nope, I can't recreate this without smart lock being on. What happens if you just press the power button and then swipe up?
If you do your test in your home, it's normal to stay unlocked since you are in SAFE UNLOCK in your house.

Can a screen become unplugged? Phone is functional but screen is unresponsive to anything

My husband's phone has been messed up for a week. It is fully functional, he can talk on the phone in the car. He has drained the battery completely. Force restarted. Everything possible, the screen is black.
I just hooked it up to my monitor via USB and I could see his the lock but that is all. The phone would not recognize his thumb print to unlock, and when he "slid his finger up" to try a pin it didn't work.
It seems completely unresponsive. He has never dropped his phone once. It has never gotten wet. The local place charges $300 to take the phone apart and replace the screen, but I am unsure if that would even work.
Any idea at all? Oh and next week is payment 24. The phone as is is not able to be traded in so we really need to fix this.
Thanks so much
It looks like the touch sensor has failed. With a locked screen that makes things more difficult.
If it were unlocked you could use any number of utilities to monitor your touches.
I hope that you have ADB enabled? If so you can try (in ADB shell):
Code:
$ input swipe 100 800 500 800
Also
Code:
$ input tap 300 400
Those are XY coordinates and you're going to have to play with them blind.
If you know the resolution of the screen you can work out where you want to swipe.
The upper left corner is 0, 0.
Good luck!
He doesn't have debugging on.
If it was the touch sensor, wouldn't the screen turn on when he hits the side button? It doesn't show anything on the screen ever now, even when you restart it.
He is only to make calls while on Bluetooth in the car
That's bizarre, I had the same thing happen last Monday, except I could still unlock my phone with the pattern lock, and fingerprint. but just a black screen. repair place said they couldn't find anything physically wrong with the screen. Replaced it and it works find now, but $380 for a replacement hurt a lot. I'm wondering if others have had this issue, and can we bring it to the attention of Samsung?
