[Q] Galaxy SL I9003 - Bricked phone during flashing stock ROM

i was on GB 2.3.5 (baseband version I9003XXKPM). I had wanted to flash the phone back to froyo 2.2.1 (baseband version I9003XXKB3) as the front camera in Fring was not working and was working well on froyo.
so i was following the flashing procedure on this page

i followed the steps exactly to this point
1. Download and run odin.
2. Check Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
3. Click PIT button and select this file: latona_20110114.pit
4. Put your phone into download mode: Press Volume down + OK + Power.
5. Connect USB cable and the program will detect the phone's Com number.
6. Click Start button to download the PIT file to phone.
then the phone shut down and hasn't started up since then. It cant get detected by the computer (both by kies and odin). I cant get into either download mode or recovery mode.
I guess its bricked. Please help me make it alright again..im really stressed out! Thanks!

I have the same problem with my father's sl i9003, i flashed cwm using odin 2 times and 2 times also failed. it just stuck at boot img and cant boot into download mode or recovery mode
cause i got flash odin with my galaxy w and no problem, so do i need to follow this to try again once? cause i scared of flashing galaxy sl or it will sure will be fixed?

this is how I got the phone to recovery mode. the trick is to keep pressing the small button above the battery with a pi. while performing the 3button press for entering download mode. thanks a lot!

Try hbooting the stock ruu. Or adb push the right recovery image to your phone.

if you have installed ROM manager and flashed CWM through it
Chances are you have hard bricked your phone..
Only Samsung guys can fix this...

Go to the service centre!..
Are u a fool or what?..there are so many posts and threads explaining "DONT USE ROM MANAGER" it can Hard Brick your Phone!!!..
Even few Galaxy Mini users have faced it,even though Galaxy Mini is in the supported phones list!!..

go to the service center act like a fool say i attached it to my computer and it switched off and it wont start dont say any thing about rom manager

I9001 wont power up

Hello, my samsung I9001 wont power up anymore after installing CyanogenMod 9.
When installing gapps it doent start up anymore.
Please help!

re-flash your phone with another firmware. that should work.

If your phone can't boot into Recovery or Download mode, then it should be bricked. In that case try broodPlank's guide to unbrick i9001 on his site broodpank.net
If it goes into recovery, restore a CWM backup. Or go to download mode and flash another ROM using ODIN.

Damn SAMSUNG Cable!!!
I spent 2 hours triyng to re flash a STOCK ROM using SAMSUNG original cable and always remained stuck at "amss.mbn download..". I read all your posts, downloaded the "WORKED2.rar" file but still no luck... I decided to change from SAMSUNG original cable to a third party unbranded one and VOILÁ flashed ROM in just "5:04".....
Damn SAMSUNG Cable!!!

Today same thing happened to my friend's mobile , it want rooted nd he flashed cwm of 5830 nd not 5830i..
I m confuse Abt this two models

it was rooted before i tried flashing the rom. now it wont even allow me to flash anything. just a samsung galaxy ace screen. i have the official gingerbread that requires odin but since i cant get in download mode i cant use it. i also have jellyblast but since i cant get in recovery mode its also useless...is there a way guys to get in either download or recovery in this case?

Do u have cwm installed?
And did u took the battery out and tried?

are you sure that the rom is for the 5830i and not for 5830? i have that same phone and the same happened to me.

SM-N915P TRLTESPR hey im in a pickle cuz i bricked my moms bf NOTE EDGE. originally it only booted up to the sprint spark screen now only to the samsung logo. i can still access recovery and download mode but odin says unsupported dev type or set warranty bit cache and on recovery it says it fails to mount cache invalid arguement.can someone help me out or walk me through it i know how to follow instructions and am actually pretty good at the stuff but i need some help

Since you still can access Download Mode , just download 5.1.1 LP or 6.0.1 MM & Odin new firmware then retry flash twrp 3.0 & SuperSu 2.71

I using 915P , & have Brick'd / soft brick'd / etc this phone so many times, & still manage to recover just fine!

or just flag flash twrp 3.0 & SuperSu 2.65 I had same issue it was fixed by flashing correct supersu..
