cool game!

Doesn't work in Htc One S. The image of the game is too big and I can`t choose user and password. Tested on Xperia Ray and it worked flawlessly. Maybe its a qHD resolution problem in the game.

Same here, qHD seems to be not supported. It's a shame because this game looks really promising.

1st why do we have to register to play ?
2nd would be nice to have a score
3rd my sheep is terminator first I started jumping then I noticed that he could destroy block on his way ...
[edit] it seems that after register the game start without the hud that why I was asking for a score, when you loose the sheep keep running but the score stops.

Hmm.
On my HOX (latest Firmware, stock ROM) the game starts. But as I try to register and begin to type my username I have no chances on getting to the next input box because HTC has removed the "hide keyboard" button...
Any chance to put kind of a "next-button" next to the input boxes ?

Hey there! I used the Starling Framework on Adobe AIR. This way I may soon release to the Apple App store without drastic modifications to the code.

Loving the graphics

hey, awesome game ive been playing it for an hour maybe more lol :good:
just thought id give feedback. the game seems to make my phone run very hott and uses alot of power, idk if it should but i do have games that are more graphic/cpu intensive and those don't get that bad
there's also a small stutter that happens every so often (Using a Htc Rezound btw)
EDIT: The game continues to run at 15% after rebooting. ive rebooted a few times and it still runs by its self
Please fix this
(RESOLVED)

Wow thanks! Yes I understand that it's cpu intensive. I'm trying to find a way to fix the problem. It's not actually the graphics causing it, as they are simple, but it's the collision detection for the boxes. I have optimized the code a lot already, but I must try and get another way.
And the frame stutter is during every advert change. Also working on this.
Thank you very much for your input

App Description
Connect 4 is an enjoyable classic, but now, thanks to Android technology, you can enjoy Connect 4 with an interesting twist. Gravity Wins is based on the two-player game, however every few rounds, the board rotates changing the physics, allowing the pieces to fall into new positions depending on the gravity orientation. Now that can be a game changer.
To win, you need four of your stones in a line. The line can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. The active or winning player is highlighted at the top of the screen. The number in the upper-right hand corner tells you how many rounds are left until the next field spin.
Currently, two people play on one Android or one person against a AI-Player

Enjoy the classic game, Connect 4, but now with a twist
Try to line up 4 of your stones while alternating turns with your opponent

Amazing Concept!
I'll go try it now..
It's a pretty neat and uniguq game-mechanic. that gravity-twist that you give every four turns (is the time period fixed?). Maybe, you could randomize it and pump up the AI to make it more challenging.
Nice Game, though!
Good Work!

[FREE][GAME][Brain & Puzzle][2.2+] Pick Lock FREE
Hi guys,
Here is my new brain game Pick Lock.
Google Play link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.co.uk.dotstudio.PickLockFREE
The goal of this game is to match the target pattern using two actions - translation and rotation. The levels are generated randomly, so the player will face different challenges every time the game is started. The player needs to think ahead like in a game of chess. There is always a 'Key' button available, which shows a possible solution. Please read the 'Rules'. If the players hit wrong button there is an 'Undo' button, which goes one move back, and 'Init' button that clears the board. The 'Key' button is available only when the board is clear. The game features an original background music composed by Yordan Velichkov. The game does not have any competitive goals, but offers a relaxing atmosphere for players that want to exercise their minds. The free version features 30 levels with solutions starting from 1 to 4 moves.
Online web version of the game:

This app is looking great but isn't the logic behind the game too simple ?
hi man,
thanks for feedback. yes the logic is simple in terms of user input. the resulted combinations are hundreds of thousands and that feature pleases me - simple input with complex results.
New update (1.0.2) is available now. The rules are described better, as suggested.
guys, are the levels too easy or too difficult? i was thinking about unlocking the moderate difficulty button and present 30 more random levels with 5 moves solutions.
downloaded the game and played a bit. lots of fun!
Hi guys,
I just decided to unlock all levels of the game and released version 1.0.3. Now 90 levels that are generated randomly every time you start the game are available. I hope that will bring more fun and downloads.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Love this game
Hi @dotstudio,
First impression - I love this game.
It's pretty, and clever.
The 1st few levels look too easy, but then when I tried medium I was confused by the puzzle...
So I went back to the beginning, and started moving through the levels quicker.
After finding that the 1st concept is introduced really slowly, I'm enjoying the way new concepts are introduced after that.
Totally love this game. :cyclops:
Thanks for giving it to us
Thanks @Hotfingers,
I was thinking of a reward system, where the user will have 1 key at the begining which can be used once to reveal a solution of one level and then will disappear. A new key will be obtained if the user solves a level with the exact or less number of moves the solution requires. So one can obtain 90 keys for all levels + 1 key that is given initially for total of 91 keys max. Of course that means that I need to also keep score and introduce some competitive goals...
Btw, thanks XDAdevelopers for the review of my game!!!
The game sound like fun but unfortunatley it does not work on my OneX with CM10.
I get to the loading screen but the the app closes down.
Graphic is incredible! Great work!
@Geggan I hope i will have more experience in the future to solve that kind of issues. If you still want to try the game it has a web version http://www.dotstudio.co.uk/game/
The graphics is amazing!
Really a great game! I like it! If the game would remember the last level I played it would be perfect.

Hi alexx,
Also running CM10 and the app works OK. I think it depends on your handset.
The few CM10 versions I know are still "under development" - so maybe you can hold out a bit until yours gets a bit more stable..?
(I know CM10 is so fast compared to CM9 that no-one wants to go back after tasting 10)
Also you can try different kernels to see which ones make your phone more stable..?
Finally you can ask your CM10 team if they will test this app for you to see what's going wrong. If your CM10 is still under development this should not upset the team too much.
good luck

I still dont have the experience to give any advise on that issue. Since you are the second one that reports issues with CM10 I guess I have to put that in the app description.

Them's names alright.
Few cosmetic things:
Make the thumbstick totally transparent, the shaded middle doesn't look right tbh
Remove the cog icon in the left hand corner (pressing the menu button is just as easy and takes up no screen space)
Remove the stopwatch icon (doesn't fit with the rest of the game and it's obvious what the counter is for without it there anyway)
Remove the shade at the top of the screen, not really sure what it's there for and makes the screen feel smaller than it actually is (quite distracting)

Google play lets me install it now, but starting the first level shows flashing squares (the squares contain elements from the background), so I guess it's not supported on my device.
Will try later with chainfire, will probably work.

Well there is no magical answer to this. If you plan to promote your game all alone (i guess you are an indie developer), you should contact all blogs related to mobile video games to see if they can add an article for you (try a google search to find some, i know toucharcade which is pretty good but iOS only). Sometimes those blogs will do a test if the game might be considered. Otherwise, you should have take an editor such as Gamevil or Chillingo for the famous ones that will do the marketing job instead of you. But they will demand some percentage on your earnings.
Only in English?

Hi everybody! It's my third logic game for Android!
Cut off the sewing buttons in the logic game Buttons and Scissors! To cut off the buttons, select two or more buttons of the same color. You can select buttons only on the same horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. You cannot cut off a single button, so plan your strategy in advance! Cut off all the buttons from the scrap of denim to complete the level. Try to complete each level in the shortest time possible to get a better score. Below is how to complete a simple level 5x5:
When you begin playing the game for the first time, there will be a tutorial level. You will be presented with a scrap of denim and a number of different colored buttons. Each current move will be displayed as a white arrow. Touch the first button and move your finger to the last button of the same color you wish to select in that line, and then release your finger. All selected buttons will then be cut off with a scissors, if selected correctly.
Main features:
Realistic sewing buttons and scissors
5x5, 6x6 and 7x7 levels
Unlimited Undo
HD graphics
Leaderboard
Cloud Save
Solutions for levels
The game supports all screen resolutions from the smallest 240x320 up to 1920x1200 and higher!
Google Play: http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kyworks.buttonsandscissors.inapp
I would like to hear your opinion about the game. I'm also happy to answer any questions about the development process.
IMPORTANT: No real buttons were cut off in the making of this game!
Buttons and Scissors v1.2 released!
I added two free solutions (if you got stuck with some level), so now there are 3 solutions available in the game
Also, bug fixed: rare crashing on undo
Please let me know what do you think about my game! Thanks!

Sorry man, I removed SGSII (GT-I9100) from the list of supported devices on Google Play. In the last weeks, there were four reports for this device that game is crashing after each level. I googled the forums, and it seems that there is a bug in audio drivers on those devices, but only if it runs original Android version (2.2?). So I9100 is the only device which is unsupported. You can download attached apk, the game probably should work if you are using Android 4.0+.

- The fact that you don;t have to wait for the scissors to finish cutting the current line so that you start the second
- It runs extremely well on low end devices
Didn't encounter any bug
Again excellent development, Left you a comment on the play store : )

Yes, the game was localized to French by professional translator. (you can also try my other games, they all were also localized to French!). And yes, there are multiple scissors available It may be boring to wait until all animations will complete, so I added multiple scissors. Thank you for your comment! :good:
Fun casual games... Nicely done. Amd free... Thanks for it.. I have tried it a little bit and I think I will have to recommend your game to my mum....

Thanks! Does anybody tried to synchronize game with Cloud Save? I'm very interested if it is working properly, especially on old devices. Please feedback!
Really nice and addictive game. Both my wife and I play it a lot - just a level or five - or maybe ten - before bedtime

Since there are 1200 levels in the game, then you can play it for months

Sorry man, I removed SGSII (GT-I9100) from the list of supported devices on Google Play. In the last weeks, there were four reports for this device that game is crashing after each level. I googled the forums, and it seems that there is a bug in audio drivers on those devices, but only if it runs original Android version (2.2?). So I9100 is the only device which is unsupported. You can download attached apk, the game probably should work if you are using Android 4.0+.

I have a SGSII with Android 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod 10.1). The first times I played your game everything was fine. Yesterday and again today I experienced what you've mentioned - that the games crached after each level. I started again, played another level, and the game crashed again. But then suddenly, maybe after 10 levels and 10 restarts, sometimes after 5 and other times after 15, the game works out of nothing... I haven't done anything else than starting the game again after a crash...
If I can do anything to help with solving this, just let me know...

I did not receive any crash reports regarding this issue so far, so it will be very helpful if you can send me a log containing crash report. If you are running Windows and android SDK is installed and ADB is configured, then you can simply run android-sdk\tools\ddms.bat to see the log.
If ddms is not available, you can use adb directly:
/android-sdk/platform-tools/adb logcat >logs.txt
I don't know much about Android SDK, generating logs etc, but I've tried... If it's not correct, I need you to tell me a little more detailed what I have to do
The log file is uploaded here.

[GAME][4.0+] The Tower of Egbert - Enchanted Physics Construction

A very short gameplay description:
“The Tower of Egbert” is a physics-based tower building game with a magic twist*.
Unlike in all the other building games I know of, you’re not restricted to using only a few elements to create a rather unspectacular building. Instead you may use several thousand blocks (bricks, arcs, roofs, deco items, …) to build quite impressive towers and discover interesting areas as you grow it towards the endless vastness of space.
You’ll have to fight gravity, winds, falling rocks, and other dangers on your way up.
Build the greatest tower ever and see if your tower can stand the test of time!
*you can build freely until you reach a certain height and activate the physics simulation. After a few seconds Egbert the Sorcerer will come to your aid and enchant/fix all the blocks built so far to ensure you can continue building safely

Thanks for your interest in the game, you've been added to the list of testers!
I've edited the original post to reflect the game's transition from the Alpha- to the open Beta-testing state (no need for joining requests anymore) so that I don't have to create a new thread for the same topic.
As stated above, the game is fully functional already, I just want to see if people are enjoying it.
hm, got the message

Hi, in my experience it can take some time for the Google servers to recognize you as a tester. Hopefully it should work by now, could you please try again?
i want to try this ...
I've tested this game on Nexus 5 with Marshmallow with high quality graphics - in this case I would be glad to see a bit more fluent animations. Another suggestion might be support for gesture navigation in menu - like changing the worlds with a swipe, not just buttons. But I have to admit, these are just tiny negatives that don't hurt overall great experience and the whole idea. Thanks for The Tower of Egbert, it has become one of the three games on my phone

A big thank you for trying my game and for the feedback also! I'm glad you like it and I hope it can live up to your expectations and earn a permanent spot on your phone I know the game is a little demanding (unfortunately) performance-wise. That is mainly a result of the high resolution textures I had to use to allow for a huge zooming range.

no problem in downloading and installing ..
easy to download and install ..
Hi,
it's interesting game, thanks ang gl
i've tested it on Xperia Arc s lt18i.
everything was ok, as for gameplay only one thing was not convenient for me - "brick type" buttons looks too small, and sometimes when i tried to change brick type - new brick appears and falling down so, i guess it make sense to enlarge buttons and avoid space between them

Sorry, I somehow missed your reply Thanks for your feedback! As for the buttons: they are actually larger than they appear (transparent background) and they are almost adjacent to each other so I guess you must have been unlucky hitting exactly the tiny gap between the buttons.
"The Tower of Egbert" has officially been released! I simply edited the original post instead of creating a new thread.
For those of you that have already tried the game during the Alpha/Beta: a lot has changed since then (and the game got a lot easier - only 2 seconds instead of 5 for the timer), so you might wan't to give it another shot It's also possible to rate the game now, I would be glad if you supported me once more!
Interesting
Very interesting and original gameplay, nice work.

Thanks, I'm glad that you like the gameplay - and not only the looks
Loved your game. Nice game design and gameplay.
Really good work!
Thanks again for all the support! If you're looking for something interesting to do this week and want to win some nice stuff - I've started the first “Tower of the Week” challenge!
Whoever uploads a picture of his or her tower to my homepage (Upload Tower | Giggly Mill Productions) has a chance to win 1 out of 5 keys for the “Unlimited Deco Item” package in the game - it doesn't matter how your tower looks, don't be shy.
Also there will be one single tower that will be announced the “Tower of the Week”.
It will be displayed permanently in the Hall of Fame (Hall of Fame | Giggly Mill Productions). Additionally the winner can choose between a key for the premium version of the game (ads away, unlimited deco, and all worlds unlocked) and a letter with 36 handmade magnetic blocks that can be used on magnetic surfaces (I use them as fridge magnets as you can see on the photos).
This first challenge will stop on Sunday the 28th of February 23:59 CET. I will announce the winners on the day after - if there are some entries of course
Have fun!
Cool game. Like it.
