If it is base band independent why does every one have to change bb to v21d?

I have 2 phones, a P920 and one p920H! and I have had different problems in the network and lost signal.
it is something to work to resolve. for if the foundation is independent to why Cm7 works fine and CM10 not? Strange that! For this reason posted here.
PS: p920 not work network signal!

BTW: V21E and V21D didn't work (lost IMEI)
Edit: now I lost my IMEI again... after rebooting it was gone, reinstall latest nightly didn't help, the IMEI is still gone. Reverted to CM 7.x helped, IMEI is back... strange and weired
Again edit: Flashed Bernies x-boot and u-boot and until now it's working. Really weired...
i've been on v 20e, v21a, v21d and v21e before using fastboot with bernies stuff noone worked and i always loose the imei and sim card after fastboot i've been on v21d , v21e and now 21f and all worked fine, for those who loose the imei and sim connectivity i suggest do a fastboot with bernies in order to solve this issue. it's all in here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35590814&postcount=93

For those of you living in Latin America, here you are the Radio Baseband for Movistar. Just install the SBF or Nandroid of your choice and then install the baseband from OR and voila!

Thanks for the basebands. I have the unlocked milestone and I travel often to Central America. this will come in handy for my next trip. Movistar always gets my business as CLARO and TIGO dont cut it for me.
Is there any difference with the one in androidiani?

Really Dont, just use TELUS Baseband, that baseband is the same that Movistar and Movilnet uses...
The only thing u always have to configure is the APN, i recomend the App APN BackUp & Restore, its do it all in two clicks
Thanks, but any have the baseband for movistar colombia?, thanks
Hi everyone, this is my first thread, i'm from Argentina, sorry for my lame english.

PHONE: I9003LUBKB1

Sent from my GT-I9003L using Tapatalk
mmm... i got a i9003 from chile and my firmware is I9003LUBKC2 and i can't find it anywhere
And i want to try install XXKB3 but say it can cause problems with the display or could not connect to 3G network ... is this true?
any suggestions?
I think there might be problems with the baseband..but is there a way to flash it and work?
Sent from my GT-I9003L using Tapatalk
Yes, i have Personal!!!
The main issue is the baseband, here we have 850, same as Canada i think. But i could not find a firmware with this modem.
Just in case, my advice is do not install any of the firmwares from the other post, cause i've heard of cases when latamerica phones bricks.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.
Seeya
I've scoured the forums looking for any indication of which frequencies the baseband in v21d comes with and came up empty. Specifically I want to know if it has the 1700 2100 aws bands for T-Mobile USA. I know v21a does, can anyone tell me if v21d does as well?
Sent from my LG-P925 using XDA
Nearly 160 views and not a single response. Sad.
Well, I flashed the German (I think) version of v21d and I still have 1700 and 2100 AWS bands. So there you are, if anyone wondered.
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA
The ROM is now V21d German and respects the frequency band they use in Germany. I think they use the same as USA.
To keep the original baseband you need to install by ZIP and not by KDZ

My understanding is that there is also a v21d for Spain out there as well, but it may be the same baseband, I haven't looked into it... I need to learn more about EU carriers so this isn't an issue for me again in the future.
The basebands of both the Spain and Germany v21D are the same because both came from LG HQ in Korea. The full baseband version of v21D as reported by CyanogenMod 7.2 is:

I wouldn't hold your breath, still waiting for ANY official JB for our P6810 model.....
In the meantime, would advise to just manually update your device with Odin. I believe DXMD3 has most SE Asia languages, including Chinese and English. There are Odin guides in this forum and elsewhere in XDA and firmware from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com

Not sure if I get your problem. For the HK model you can use the Singapore official JB version.
Model: GT-P6800
Country: Singapore
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: N/A
Build date: N/A
Product Code: XSP
PDA: P6800DXMD3
CSC: P6800OLBMD3
MODEM: P6800DXMD3
There are actually 4 different versions on Sammobile for download.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=14438
I used one of the carrier free ones. Runs fine, smooth and stable. Big improvement over 4.0.4 ICS.
It comes with all Asian languages (Thai, Chinese, whatever). So it should suffice for any HK device.
Yes.. you can update it with the singapore rom. this is what ive done. Ive downloaded the singapore rom and Ive flashed it on my tablet... and it is working fine. Absolutely no problem.
If that was not clear from my post... I run the Singapore Version (DXMD3) too - for a few months now.
Best official ROM so far for me, recommended.

I am from Ecuador , I also had many network problems, I lost signal constantly , should be the difference in the frequency of this region with Russia , then decided to remove the modem ROM Trinidad and Tobago as it is the containing the first modem for the region of South America, after a whole day with the modem should say that the problem is not entirely solved but the signal has improved considerably.
Likewise, I 'm investigating to try to solve this problem
Great!
Modem works perfect. Signal problem is solved.
Now i will wait for Samsung to solve all bugs. Looking for better firmwares...
Thank you
