corrupt flash phone wont turn on - Samsung Infuse 4G

I was using Odin to flash the Gingerbread boot loaders on my phone when the laptop reset while writing part of the boot loader. the phone went black and had red pixels on the screen not it wont power on and acts like there is nothing on the phone no Samsung logo or anything. is this phone a brick now? when i plug it it to the computer it doesn't even pick up the comm port.

Are you saying that by holding both Vol keys, with the usb cable in then putting in the battery that you can not access Download mode?
Have you tried different cables?
Have you tried to gently wiggle the cable where it plugs into the Infuse?

Yes that's right I get nothing when doing that, tried another cable and a different PC still nothing

I just did that to my phone last night. Your phone does turn on that is why you see the red pixels. The way I fixed mine was to remove the battery. Disabled my security software. Ran odin as admin. Held in the volume buttons then plugged in the micro usb into the phone. Odin picked up the phone and I was able to flash it. I also used the same process to fix a white screened infuse.

Phone not going into download mode

Ok so I tried to flash the new provision rom, but something went wrong somewhere. After i flashed it, cwm said eveything was fien and installed, so I rebooted. Once the phone rebooted, it was stuck at the galaxy s 4g screen, I tried to get it into recovery, didnt work, and Im trying to get it into download mode. I tried the 3 different methods, but it always gets stuck at that screen. Before anyone asks, I tried take out battery, plug cable into comp, hold buttons, put battery in, plug in usb, and it still goes straight to that screen and doesnt change
Try plugging usb in computer, firmly holding vol up/down and plug usb into phone without battery. If you get into download mode then put battery in.
ried, phone doesnt turn on, even tried with another cable. and port isnt broken
somebody help please? another issue is that when i plug in the usb, the phone doesnt turn on, have to put in battery for it to turn on
Does this computer have the drivers for the SGS4G on it? Those are necessary to get into download mode.
With the USB cord plugged into the computer, and the battery in the phone, hold vol up, then vol down, and plug the phone in while still holding those buttons. That worked for me when I had to restore through download mode.
And the phone cannot be already starting to boot, it must be completely in the off state.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
already got it, thank you though
How did you get it to work? Mines doing the same thing right now, and what method did you use to restore?

Pull the battery out for a minute and put it back in. Hold Vol+&Vol- while plugging in the usb cable that is already attached to a PC on a good USB port. Should go into download mode.
USB Jig
If this doesn't work, you can either make your own usb jig with a 301k resistor or buy one from mobiletechvideos.com.
To make one, just get a micro-usb breakout board, and solder a 301k resistor (or 300k + 1k in series... any wattage/tolerance) between the id and gnd pins.
I got my usb break out board from sparkfun.
Unless your sbl is hosed, this will always work.

[Q] Can't Connect to PC with USB

I have just come back from a 2 week journey and my phone no longer is recognized by my pc.
I've uninstalled the USB drivers and reinstalled.
I've tried on multiple USB ports
I've tried multiple cables
I've tried multiple PC's
And of course I've rebooted everything multiple times.
I am on CleanRom 6.0R2
During the trip the the car charger cable got a yank while attached to the phone and ruined the connector on the charger. I replaced the charger with no issues. The phone will charge fine with usb cable attached to my PC. Is there any chance the usb connector on the phone got damaged? Anything else to try?
Thanks for your help.

It is possible it is damaged. Only other thing I know is to hook to USB then boot into download mode while it is connected. Had to do on Win 8 couple of times. It will try to refresh drivers from phone side.

I know it is a silly question, but I never used Odin to root to begin with, so I've never been in download mode. I know to use Volume Down + Home + Power button to get into download mode. But what will happen after this without Odin on the PC?

Nothing. But it may try to load drivers to pc. I have got my usb ports to work doing that on Win 8. Phone has drivers also but that is how you force it to push to PC. Make sure usb debugging is on also before going to download mode. Worth a shot.

Wow. That actually worked - PC recognizes the phone now. I must admit that I was very skeptical - but desperate to try anything. Thanks a million.

You could always try to mount usb via recovery to make sure as well.

Help Phone Shuts off

I have an infuse that works great except for the fact that everytime I plug the usb into the phone it shuts off the phone. The phone is factory I have not altered it or anything. I have tried multiple cables and different ports on my laptop and desktop. The battery is stock like I said it only happens when you plug the usb cable up to the phone while the phone is in normal mode. It does not occur when in download mode or recovery. I just bought this off of ebay is this a simple fix or should I just send it back. Thanks in advance and be gentle this is my first post. If I posted in the wrong place my apologies.

Need help for fixing Dead Lumia 1020

Hello. I found my old Lumia 1020 and I decided to try and turn it on. However when I connected it to the charger all it does is flashing the middle button (windows logo) as what it normally does at the first few second of charging. So I tried connecting it to the laptop and same thing. Any ideas?
Hi, SavoTS
I guess the chances are that battery-juice might have dried up, possibility.
Have you tried Soft-Reset-ing your Lumia?
1. Press and hold the volume keys and power button together for 3-5 seconds.
2. The phone should soft-reset.
Please tell me what you've tried?
Also, The USB Port on your phone or the USB cable might be in bad-shape. This can cause the phone to not charge much and being stuck at the blinking Home button (Windows logo).
I have had bad USB port causing charging issues and giving me trouble while transferring data - I simply replaced it with a spare.
What have you tried so far?

The cable is totally fine because I use it to charge my other phone and it works fine. Tried the soft reset button combo and it didn't work. When I connected it to the pc it wasn't recognized. I haven't taken it apart but even if I do I don't have spare phones to take anything and use it.

i have this pc problem just charging not recognize. I gone changed replace new charging port and pc problem is solved it's working perfectly
If the battery is totally drained you should try a charging device, be patient and have the Lumia for hours on the loader. Also check the USB port, there may be tons of dust inside. Yes, it took me about ten minutes to clean a micro USB port, so just try it.

Joachim

Hard bricked solved(ROG 3 tencent strix ZS661KS)

Hey bros i've finally fixed my hardbricked rog 3 and i'm super happy. My phone got hardbricked like this.
i unlocked the bootloader and usb debugging, turned on FTP, i was about to root the phone, the phone is on 80% charge. I pluged in the usb c original cable on my phone side port first and then pluged into the pc type c port. but unluckily my hands was on the buttons, i don't know maybe all the buttons were pressed at once and at that time i plugged in the cable.
As soon as i plugged in the phone got all black. No turning on, no USB, no nothing. Didn't even recognized as a bulk or QS USB device. But whenever i pushed the both VOL button the indicator light would flash. So i at least knew it was not dead dead. Many days passed by just to search up the solution. I tried EDL cable, different cables, all kinds of tutorials. But nothing worked, because there was no USB connection.
But today i plugged in my phone and it suddenly showed the bootloader is on and file integrity can not be assured and ........................ those lines . I though what how what happened. so i charged up my phone for a little bit and i long press the power button and amazing it turned on , no bootloader no flush , it just turned on. Maybe i just got lucky , or maybe because i didn't flush any rom in the first place so the main rom remained.......... anyway i got my rog 3 back, ima go play some Call Of Duty ,,,,,,
