IMEI/SN sticker - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

It came on the back of my One X, and it looks ugly, I was just wondering if I could remove it without AT&T complaining.

Yes. Remove it.

I meant if I had to take it back for any reason, when I first got it I had problems for the first few days of it randomly freezing and turning off. They wen't away before I went back to swap it.

Remove it or when it finally comes off you'll have this brand new looking patch on the back of your worn phone. I learned from experience.

Got AT&T to replace my One X

Basically my WiFi signal drops and reconnects every 5 minutes, and sometimes I lose "4G" and all bars of service completely. AT&T told me to call HTC. The guy made me apply pressure to the back of the phone under the camera, and all of a sudden, my WiFi signal was strong and stable. He said I would have to mail them my phone, so I said no way, I'm not going to be without a phone for like a week or more, so I called AT&T, told them HTC told me it was a hardware issue not a software issue, so finally, after spending 2+ hours on the phone, AT&T is sending me a replacement phone.
Thought I would share this in case there are others in a similar situation.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
You had to return your old phone though, right? I would do the same but I can't be without a phone
when you get sent a new one they send you a post paid sticker to put the old phone in. You don't go without.
Sounds like someone needs to start testing for the S-Off guys

Are you saying I should test S-off on the phone I'm sending back to AT&T? I'm already worried about relocking the bootloader and flashing stock RUU before I send it back lol.

If you brick it they won't know.

Exactly what I'm saying. I'd bet they automate scripts to test so it's a one click, or get on chat and walk you through it step by step.

Oh awesome, I need to look into this then. Thanks!
I'd really look over the devices you get sent if I were you. They've sent me out 3 warranty replacements (waiting for the 4th) but I keep sending them back because they all have extremely noticeable defects. They said they will keep sending them until I get one that is in good condition. I don't have to argue with them at all. I wish I could go to a completely different phone but they won't do that.

Just call the AT&T customer service 1-800 number. Explain your issue, say you already did a factory reset, and they should offer to replace the phone.

htc beats dead

According to my client, he said his HTC beatsaudio just suddenly and never powered again, system not detecting even after i uptimized the battery still not powering on.
Is there away to revive this dead device?

You mean the phone is dead?
How do you "uptimize" a battery that's inside the phone?

Leave it charging for a while. It may take up to a 1 hour before it starts charging normally. You may have depleted the battery completely.
Also what the heck does this have to do with Beats?
He probably thinks that's the name of the phone since that's all you see on the back of it. "HTC" in big letters, and "Beats" in smaller ones.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Uptimize it on fire.
There are a lot of things that can be wrong. Its impossible to know based on the information provided.
You haven't even told us what phone you are talking about. Beats is a feature, not the name of the phone.

I have a replacement due here tomorrow and I dropped my phone today. Will AT&T charge me ($504 i think) because of this body damage?
Hope not
Nah, I think you'll be alright. The most expensive parts are the glass/digitizer. Insurance claims are 200 bucks, but they'll probably just chalk this up to normal wear and tear, replace the case, and be done with it.

they may just deny your warranty, because there are physical damage on the phone.
they denied mine, because i have a small crack on the case...

My dilemma. To upgrade or not.

So I got a new att HTC one x last week for 9.99 from att. I love it! But now I'm liking the Lumia 920 and the x+ that's coming out this Friday for 200. I still have a week to exchange my phone...what should I do?
I already rooted and have cm10 running. And I'm happy other than battery life. But that's ok I always have a charger near by. I only like the true Google experience and hate the sense ui. But I did like my old wp7 phone. What should I do? Keep my one x or exchange it for the one x+? Our the Lumia 920?

This. When they look at your boot loader and see tampered and unlocked/relocked they won't take it. Good job reading about what rooting and stuff would do to your warranty.

+1 for that haha.
I took my first one x back after 4 days to get the grey one. I had it unlocked and rooted and all they did was open the box, check for the charger, phone and USB cord. They do ask if you rooted the phone. I told him I didn't know what that meant, then he processed the return *your results may vary

lol I would love to work for a carrier... First thing I would do is load the bootloader up and check, but also boot the phone up just incase. Then if i see a custom rom, tempered/unlocked bootloader I'll just laugh and procede with the return/exchange.
Android to wp8 won't be a sweet transition so i would say that you go and get x+ if at all they happen to take it back !

Have you ever taken anything back to an att store? If it's in the first 30 days all they look at is to make sure your phone is in pristine condition and they exchange it on the spot. I'm only looking for advice whether i should trade up to the one x+ or not. I guess all everyone cares about on this forum is the at&t "warranty"

I personally not invest any time or money in a phone OS that has a 1 to 2 % market share, such as in the base of Windows Phone (market data showing WP at just under 4% market share actually include those that are still on the old Windows Mobile platform, and have simply not updated their devices).

Galaxy Note II
I say wait till windows OS matures (maybe a generation after this one) because they don't have many important apps in their market ecosystem, currently. HTC One X is a good phone and you won't miss much except for the wireless charging plate included in the Lumia 920; uses the same processor too.
I'm deciding between the galaxy s 3 and the HTC one x atm
