htc beats dead - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

According to my client, he said his HTC beatsaudio just suddenly and never powered again, system not detecting even after i uptimized the battery still not powering on.
Is there away to revive this dead device?

What are you talking about?

You mean the phone is dead?
How do you "uptimize" a battery that's inside the phone?

Leave it charging for a while. It may take up to a 1 hour before it starts charging normally. You may have depleted the battery completely.

Also what the heck does this have to do with Beats?

He probably thinks that's the name of the phone since that's all you see on the back of it. "HTC" in big letters, and "Beats" in smaller ones.

Uptimize it on fire.

There are a lot of things that can be wrong. Its impossible to know based on the information provided.
You haven't even told us what phone you are talking about. Beats is a feature, not the name of the phone.

Hows the battery life so far?

From you guys who already got the AT&T one x, how is the battery life compared to phones you've owned previously?
Only had it 1 day but I think it will be superior to or at least on par with my old galaxy s2
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
It'll take a few cycles to be accurate

I'm surprised there are not more posts on this. So how is it fellas?
had the phone since ten AM Thursday and it still has odd battery life. about 4-6, maybe 8. But this could just be me and it needing cycling. it does do some odd stuff, similar to what my GS2 did. Battery meter shows 95%, reboot and it will be 83% or maybe 99%, its a crap shoot.
After 3 full days:
16 hrs w/ 2hrs to go with light usage.
Monday when I am back at work will be the real test.
So far, the best battery life than any of my phones in the past 6months.

There are.
This is from my first full charge cycle and it will likely be another hour or two before it dies. I'm in an lte market and was on lte probably 6 or 7 hours here. Rest on WiFi.

Great so far
So far the best of any android phone I've owned. It arrived with a dead battery, I fully charged and got excellent battery life. This is from my second charge usage. I keep screen brightness around 30-35% cause otherwise it bothers my eyes (I wear glasses).

Overheating problems?

I recently had a friend of mine who works for AT&T tell me that HTC admitted recently that the HTC One X has a battery overheating problem where it the phone will essentially get so hot that the parts inside will melt. Supposedly this has been an annoying issue because it's particularly difficult to test for when customers trade in their old equipment since the phone is sealed. As an One X owner I found this to be a little disconcerting to hear since I actually love my phone a lot, especially after putting ParanoidAndroid on it, and don't want it to fail me. Learning this made me wonder though if by installing PA I may have extended the life of the phone due to the better software... so I thought I'd ask.
What precautions can we take to ensure that our phones don't overheat? Will installing a new ROM in and of itself extend the life of the phone? Is there any software available that will make better use of the phones battery? What do you know about the heating issue and how has it affected you?
Don't believe. The only time I heard of a phone/device melting was due to defective battery.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Definitely not as bad as melting, but sometimes will get ridiculous hot and run out of battery fast. Not often though, can be solved by restarting.
Sent from my Nexus 7
don't sleep on your phone at night. my phone slides under pillow sometimes when i sleep and it overheats and turns off.
You could just call HTC and ask, although I don't they would admit to something like that.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It needs to get A LOT hotter than anyone has yet stated theirs to be in order to melt anything inside.

So this is what, fourth-hand information now?
If these phones were melting down like this, you would be hearing about it from people who've actually had it happen.
I had overheating issues. Phones display would stay on and get extremely hot until the battery died. Did this twice before my replacement arrived. I don't think it melted anything, but it was hotter than any of my other phones have ever gotten.

Since you're getting the information from me what you're receiving is second hand information. This should be pretty obvious, I don't know why you're making this more complicated than it really is.

I'm getting third-hand by my calculations...
HTC > At&t : 1st hand
At&t > friend : 2nd hand

Regardless, this seems like a troll post. Phones just don't melt.
Sent from my One X using xda premium
OP this seems like something fabricated by AT&T because of all the unexplained problems with the one x
Regardless this phone gets no where near hot to the touch, my old galaxy nexus on the other hand got HOT. If I was downloading something I had to be careful not to put the phone to my face during a phone call because it would burn.

lol, unintentional self contradictions are funny.
But seriously, can someone answer my original question? I want to know if changing the OS effects the temperature of the phone in a positive or negative way, or perhaps extends the life of the device. That would be great.

I believe the only way around it is to have the exact same model screen as you had before since 3 models were made by 2 different manufacturers. Though, I am no expert, I did do a fair amount of research on this and did not come up with any way to get around it while researching.

What did you do with the old screen? Trash it before you knew it was needed? And do you remember the color on the tab? The 3 screens have different colors. You have 2 choices left. And if I recall I think the Sony screens work on them all. But like exad I'm not a expert either just too much time to read threads on XDA

I think I read somewhere that you have to connect the new screen while the phone is powered on, so it will sync properly. I may be wrong though.
