Support is for the length of the warranty, 1 year from date of purchase.
What's up guys!
I need advise/s.
I'm torn between this two. Its the same product but diff sets. I'm from Singapore anyway.
1. A seller in a local forum selling a 3 months old Local Set with an unfilled warranty for 460SGD (360USD).
2. A local shop selling an Export Set (idk from whch country) for
490SGD (380USD).
Yes. One is used and one is brand new with 30SGD (25USD) difference.
Which should I get and should I worry about warranties?
If I get the used one will Samsung replace 1 to 1 if there is any problem with the set?
What are the common issues that this tab has and needs to send for replacement/repairs that says that I really NEED a local warranty?
Any of you guys using an export set? Any issues with service centres?
I can't decide.
I'm a regular ROM Flasher and it voids the warranty I know and this makes me wanna go for the brand new export set BUT! the other side of me says alot of what if'!!!
Appreciate it lots for the reply guys.
Have a good day!
*Currency converted are rounded off to the nearest cents btw. Close but no cigar. ;P
Got the local set tho. Damn its shiny! ;D

As long as warranty hasn't been voided, the device should be able to be replaced by Samsung no matter who owns it for the full year of warranty.

Dear Mods.
Pls close the thread.

I have moved on from SGR to Nexus 4 but still my SGR is in use and is with my wife. I am running Stock Indian ICS (rooted).
Lately my wife is complaining that the battery is dying very fast. Even though it is charged overnight, it just dies in couple of hours. I have noticed that the battery has also bulged and based on some googling it is a definite case of battery going kaput. Now I am in need of a new battery and was wondering if it is fine to order it from EBay India where the cost of the batteries varies from INR 375 to 1K or should I try any other local shop. Need advice from you friends.

Batteries are life for Mobile. But if we choose Bad one then It may be harmful too. So, I would suggest to go for Branded & Original product then pirated or looking same kinda.

I definitely want to buy an original battery as I dont want to take any kind of risk as I have seen many cases in news of exploding batteries.
Would it be a good idea to visit the Samsung Service Center for the new battery? Do they sell it?
I got mine recently at ssc..costs around 600 rs

Its more then enough. They charge too much.
Thanks all. Visited the nearest SSC but they didn't have it in stock. Then went to a Samsung SmartPhone Cafe in Phoenix Market City and got it for Rs.550 with 6 months warrenty. At first they said that they dont have any battery for GSR and I had to convince them that it is the same as I9100. After matching the model number they gave it to me.......

I was going to buy Nexus 4, but it's poor camera, glass back and small internal memory were preventing me from that. Now I want to buy Nexus 5. However, it isn't available in Poland and considering time LG needed to introduce N4 to Poland (we haven't got devices in Play Store), N5 will arrive in 3-4 months. If I buy new Nexus in Germany, will it's warranty work in Poland or it'll be needed to send it back to Germany?

Correct, through your cousin and then he sends it back to Google using a RMA number which will be given by Google. You can`t send it to Google yourself as you didn`t place the order.

By Google.
Good Afternoon, I was looking into purchasing SquareTrade 2 year warranty on the Note 4 when it comes out because I would definitely want to root it and maybe get some custom ROM's. I was not sure of Square trade’s policy however. My question is If the device gets damaged in a fall or lets says the headphone port stops working will they forward me to Samsung if I’m within the 1 year manufactures warranty ? Samsung will most likely check to see if Knox is tripped and deny service to the device. I do not want to purchase SquareTrade if they are just going to forward me to Samsung. Any One have any Clues ?
