I really do appreciate all the hard work DEVS put into building ROMS. But I really get frustrated with very buggy ROMS or ROMS not stable for daily use being released WITHOUT IT BEING KNOWN. I mean forgive me if I am wrong but how can someone build a stock ROM and make it run worse than stock? I'm not trying to criticize negatively, but am I alone on this? I think everything about a ROM should be posted on the OP. Not just some stuff but everything like "Known issues" "What doesnt work" and "bugs" should be the first thing we see instead having to look for it and being linked to other sites and what not. I am not trying to sound ungrateful but I really depend on ROMS and would start to DEV myself but find myself too busy providing for my family. I donate when I can and appreciate all the work but maybe there should be a category for only "Stable ROMS" and "Daily Drivers"
in my opinion except Lg devides(Because still I have a Lg), usually stock rom better than costum roms... Almost all costum roms have some problem

Run synergy and have bugs in every version? No thanks. Tried it before nosympathy and couldnt switch calls, new version came out 2 days later and had no mms over 160 characters along with settings force close. Its a nice rom, but flashing a new version or fix every other day just doesnt make sense to me.

Bad mouthing? Every post i said the rom is nice, just not for me. Explain how that is bad mouthing? I explained my experience with that rom. Am i only allowed to say good things about it? No its called feedback (good or bad). Get off your internet high horse.

I have been running Synergy for many versions now and never had any of the issues that people have reported, like GPS lock issues, etc.
The ROM is incredibly fast, I get great battery, and bug free for me!
Synergy 1.3 in my opinion works the best on my phone. No problems with battery, gps, kernels or even theming.

Furthermore, feedback is specific and constructive. Bringing up issues from old builds that are no longer relevant helps no one and leads to a false impression of how the ROM is TODAY.

This may or may not be true but again, not at all helpful for anyone.
Again, this is a development forum. Things are sometimes broken, half-finished, and often WIP. If you don't like what the devs release, then don't flash it. Your other option is to wait until a dev releases a milestone or stable release. It's really that simple.
Some of these devs are amazing and put out some truly awesome work, however these guys are doing it mostly as a hobby or maybe for donations...but I'll bet they all must work a fulltime job.
The factory roms have probably been dissected by over a dozen or more Sammy peeps before even getting to Red for their further adjustments. Therefore it seems reasonable that the stock roms would be more stable and less buggy. That's common sense!
The custom roms allow user to get rid of unneeded bloat as well as adding in hacks and such. Not to mention almost unlimited theming possibilities.
Every dev inserts a disclaimer in their thread for a reason...YOU INSTALL THEIR ROM AT YOUR OWN RISK! So live with it...or live with stock.

You nailed it. Addict was the only person having issues with Synergy rom and whined and complained from the start that it was the roms fault. Funny that no one else had the issues that he was having. He obviously dorked something up/restored system data from an old build/installed a bad app/never checked md5s or something of that nature.
Then he goes and makes a thread about buggy roms when we all know exactly what he is referring to and we all know it was his own doing.
For everyone's information, Synergy is an awesome rom and has been since it was released. I have had zero issues outside of what I thought was a gps issue but that was my own mess up. I think a few had a different gps issue and that was it and that has since been solved.
Stop spreading crap info addict. You jacked your system up somehow and it had nothing to do with Synergy rom.
Edit: like others said if you want a "perfect" rom then stick with stock. I just don't understand what your complaint is about. It's not like stock doesn't work and someone is forcing you to flash roms every night.

Seems the OP got his answer and to prevent further flaming let's just close this.
To the OP, Devs take time away from their family and providing for them to make ROMs out of sheer enjoyment.
They make them for themselves and share them.
It is impossible to find every bug before the ROM is released. Even Samsung can''t do that.
It also takes a lot of time to support a ROM, updating the thread everytime a real bug is found, not just someone who can't flash or mixed in a bad app or data.
You really should try to make your own ROM, release it and support it before making a crappy thread like this.
If you depend on your phone then you should definitely stick to stock and pray there are not bugs unreported there.
Thank you for your cooperation

You're asking too much. I'll answer appropriately.
Most stable stock ROM?
Probably xboarder56's Tweaked OTA 2.3.3 1.2.2 ROM or faux123's EaglesBlood 2.3.3 on a stock kernel. faux123's stock kernel is way too buggy.
If you want my opinion though, I believe at this point the CM7 nightlies are very stable and have no problem using them as a daily driver.
Fastest ROM?
That's relative to OCing and tweaks. No "real" answer to that.
If you're on 2.3.3. already, SuperOneClick will not work. You'll need to install the CWM recovery and flash a rooted ROM.
ROM Toolbox works fine.
I've seen the same answer to this question time and time again - Find out for yourself what the "best" rom is.
I tried almost all of them, with almost every available kernel, and I decided Weapon G2x with faux's oc/uv kernel is the best combo FOR ME.
This does not, in any way, infer that it will be the best one for you. Do your research, and find out for yourself.
Oh jeez I thought this was the Q&A section on a forums, where you can post threads to ask questions... I didn't know it was the "do a search" replies section. Seriously don't bother posting at all if you only got "do a search" response, thank you very much.
Dude you really got to try a couple. Its the only way. I have tried a lot of them but now I use cm latest stable. Its stable and fast.
You can try new kernals but really the speed isn't that great to notice maybe in benchmarks but that's it!
For true stable and fully functional and pretty fast I would say x's tweaked ota version. It will use your internal SD card by default and everything works.
sent from my anti IPhone device
The real answer is the rom from LG is stock. Any others modified or tweaked are not STOCK.

Maybe you just need to learn how to read. I didn't see anybody tell you to do a search.
I did see some people share their experience in an area you had a question about, that doesn't have a pat answer. "Best" is subjective. I told you what is best for me. Some other users told you what's best for them. We can't tell you what's best for you. You need to find that out for yourself.
If you want lean, fast and stable my two new roms are an excellent choice.

I've tried a bunch. As battery life is important to me, I think EaglesBlood is the best. Great battery life and minimal issues. The major issue is loss of data when switching wifi off. A reboot fixes that though. This happens to me so rarely that I dont mind it too much. Anyone have any ides on hhow to improve battery life with MIUI?
If you would understand what you are reading, you would see that I wanted to do a POSITIVE REVIEW on his roms. I am an aspiring writer looking for good stories. Yes, I did swoop in, that's why I like the man. He's not afraid to help and self promote at the same time. So, jboxer, if you read this I'm sorry if I came across disrespectful, it was not my intention. It sucks there are so many people willing to start bs and few to help. We were all noobs at one point, I never forgot that.
Lastly, if you really know how to read, I write for ACS. I have never heard of asc neither. To answer the original question and get back on subject, I run Eaglesblood 2.4 with Dragon kernel 1.5.2. If this forum would let me upload pics, I'd post my antutu benchmark of 6797, JUST in case someone wants to call me out on my signature.

Who really gives a flying F**k anymore. I already knew from previous phones that this would be 1 of those phones that doesn't have enough ram, hardware and etc to run ICS. We have GB based roms with all working features we can all use now all tweaked up to give the best performance possible. I bought the Infuse for 2 damn reasons and 2 only. 1. The screen is big enough for my hands, to view pictures, browse the web, and watch videos. 2. You can't brick this phone, I've done masses and masses of research on this phone and this is the only phone that can handle the screw ups and bad flashes, (WORTH BUYING JUST FOR THIS REASON) ICS - Who gives a damn, By next year we'll have another OS rolling out and ICS will be old news and you won't want it. I hear the next OS is to be called Jelly Bean!
Edit: the next OS is suppose to get better camera software, apps that take advantage of Hardware acceleration possibly Apps that will take advantage of Dual Core, But yet I didn't hear anything about ICS taking advantage of Acceleration and or Apps taking advantage of Dual Core. My 2 cents would be save your money and WAIT!!! Stop wasting your money.

(><) LOL! It's really not that hard if you know how to read, This forum seems to be repeating itself with the same topics each and every day for the most part. I feel all confuzled with what's been happening since September on this forum when I first got my Infuse. Dman, Entropy, Linuzbozo, and a few others who have been here since that time till now have been Great! and have shown a lot of support. But as much as I have read so far it seems people are to *****y and needy of things they want but may never have. These devs show Great effort into helping us achieve a great experience with the Infuse, and yet everyone wants to complain about their hard work when they should be complimenting them.

AOSP ICS runs on a Nexus S beautifully. Its hardware is virtually identical to a Vibrant (from what I understand). To my knowledge, a Vibrant is a Galaxy S derivative (or clone) so obviously it'll run on a Galaxy S phone.
If Samsung would provide the binaries necessary to run it on an Infuse, someone or a group of people would have a ROM cooked up from source in no time.
However, Samsung has only so many developers and they have to draw the line somewhere so someone gets the axe. It's similar to what Google did for the Nexus One users. I hear that ICS will run on that phone just fine. I haven't confirmed that in their forums though.

Vibrant has an almost stable ICS ROM out; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362961
And yes, a Nexus S and a Vibrant are almost pretty much the same phone.
The lack of support for us Galaxy S users is disappointing, but given the Vibrant didn't even get an official Gingerbread update, it's crazy to assume we'd get ICS. Now, for the Infuse 4G, I don't really know how different it is, but I've seen ports from the i9000 on here, they have a running ICS version, someone could try porting it.
Sammy seemed to give up on this phone barely after launch huh? If only they'd release the kernel source we'd be golden.
Ics really is not all that...I ran it on several phones already...and yea its cool for a bit...but I always go back to my tweaked out catyrom cause its way faster....it wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be...people want it on the infuse because we don't have it. I agree.. my CM7 setup runs so smooth, better than ICS.
Honestly, I just like the look of ICS.. but as you can see here, it's possible on CM7.

I didn't mean to start such an uproar! Was just posting an article that may interest some, or stop some from "wanting" so bad. Maybe the moderator should just delete this thread.
I don't know why the Infuse is such a hot topic, Captivate forums were never this hostile.
As I stated, I like my Infuse as it is! Easy to flash and manipulate whatever way I want.
I have a quick question about how best to protect my root.
So far I've gathered that if I'm rooted, bootloader unlocked, recovery installed, etc, then OTA updates are shut down and there's no way I can lose root.
Is that correct?
Thanks,
Chris

the best way to protect yourself from OTA updates is to install a custom ROM.
The only way you are going to lose root is by deliberately installing an OTA or RUU. You have to take a specific action to lose root. Ninjas aren't going to sneak into your house and take root away.
Not sure how you knew I'm ninjaphobic. . .
But that's good to know.
I'm happily running CleanROM as we speak.

Has anyone tried SuperSu Pro's root keeper functionality? Should do exactly what OP needs, but I haven't tried it with an OTA on the HOX. Also, there's an app called OTA Rootkeeper I believe and it was proven to have survived the 1.85 OTA update.

OTA Rootkeeper did survive the 1.85 OTA but considering that rooted users should NEVER accept an OTA, those apps are useless. There's no way to know if it will actually keep your root unless someone takes one for the team. People need to just chill out and wait till our devs come out with a rooted version or update their ROMs to the latest OTA (which usually happens before the OTA hits anyway).

I can only imagine that these are mostly folks that are afraid to unlock the bootloader and void the warranty. Otherwise, yeah why get so excited over the OTA? The exact same version was available weeks before the OTA, as a leaked RUU.

Well you know, sometimes a kernel dev or a ROM cooker really has a profound understanding of a device, and sometimes it's just a kid with a kitchen. The OTAs when rooted can sometimes be preferred over the available ROMs. I think that right now, stock unrooted or stock rooted is the number one daily driver for people. True, all the devs are running CleanROM, but I personally prefer all the features the phone was meant to have as opposed to some extra features with the designed features buggy or missing. This phone runs so smooth stock that I think most people don't want to mess it up. Rooting the stock and keeping root through OTAs is my method, as I can ensure noone is hiding RATs or bot frameworks on my phone and maintain stability.
My point is that the creators of this device may have made a few sacrifices for the ultimate health of the device. Sure, change the memory settings, increase the camera bitrate, alter the CPU scheduler and force the second core on, but when my phone is still running peachy keen while your One X is out of breath we'll see who made the smarter choice.

I completely, 110% couldn't agree more with you. I've never, in my experience, encountered a custom ROM that didn't end up rearing some ugly, little, niggling bug that I couldn't figure out (and sometimes, great big giant bugs).
I tried a number of ROMs on my capivate and Nexus S, and they always end up with an issue that sends me into an all-nighter, reading threads on here.
Like you said, I got tired of giving up long term stability, in order to have extra tweaks and features - as mouth wateringly tempting that they may be. I've always ended up getting frustrated with custom ROMs and going back to rooted stock, and removing bloatware.
To echo what you said, sometimes it is someone with a deep understandstanding of the device, and sometimes it's someone with a kitchen. But sometimes it's an office full of guys with a deep understanding of the device, and I like to think that they offer the best "daily driver" ROM. (I mean this as no slight against any cook or dev.)
Of course, that doesn't allow for a stock ROM with super customizability - but they have to find a happy medium somewhere between customizability and idiot proof. I happen to find that happy medium on rooted stock ROMs.
Maybe if it's announced AT&T isn't going to release a Jelly bean update for this device, then I'll likely consider a custom ROM. Until then, like you said, "this phone runs so smooth stock."

You completely misunderstood my point. I didn't even mention custom ROMs, and that's not what I was talking about. I specifically mentioned the leaked RUU, which is the exact same versions as the present OTA, and was available weeks before the OTA. The only difference is that until the root method was found for 1.85, you needed to unlock the bootloader before running the RUU in order to have root.
Plus, I've seen OTAs on other devices that caused much more problems than the RUU. RUU is a completely clean install. OTA is almost always just a messy patch.

As I already replied to the other guy, I wasn't even talking about custom ROMs. Not sure how you guys even got off on that tangent. But since we're already there . . .
Your experience with custom ROM is unfortunate. I've used numerous custom ROMs by various devs on the Desire Z that were more stable than stock, and even fixed bugs that were present on stock. Early in a ROMs lifespan, there may be bugs. Especially if the ROM is a port from another device. Devs will sometimes even name their ROM as "beta" during this time period. But once many ROMs are given a little time to reach maturity, they will often be more stable than stock.
Sure, the stock ROM is a fine place to be for many people. This is the first Android device I've owned where the stock firmware didn't completely suck. And stock ROM with root, even better. But don't sell custom ROMs completely short.
Leaving BL locked (for now).

I can't speak for anyone else, but I think this is what I was speaking to in response to why I stay away from custom ROMs. It's not that I am afraid to unlock BL, or that I am ape poo for an OTA. I've just found the most stability in stock ROMs. And yes, of course, no stock ROM is without its own issues, but at least I have the recourse to go back to AT&T and say, "Hey, this device smells. Replace it, please."
Redpoint, you're right about custom ROMs reaching maturity. That's why I mentioned that if AT&T announces no Jelly Bean update, I would likely consider a custom ROM. Although, I would probably wait a good while before flashing anything to allow for that "maturity" you mentioned. I have a friend who runs CM9 nightly builds, and never encounters issues - but I don't think he tinkers as much as I do. He seems to flash a custom ROM, and leave it "stock". I always flash custom and start going bananas trying every tweak under the sun - I think this is the err of my ways. I need to learn moderation. haha
And as far as why I was looking for an answer to the OTA update on rooted devices, my concern was that my device would flash the update without my consent. Should that have happened, I wanted to see what I was up against. Otherwise, I am still happily on 1.73 and I have no desire to update to 1.85, at this time. As far as I am aware, it addresses some wifi connectivity issues (that I am not experiencing), and it seems to have created a battery drain issue (which I am also not experiencing).
With stock ROM I get:
• 2-3 day battery life
• All apps work
• Strongest signal
• 100% working wifi
• fastest overall, zero load time for almost everything
• and finally I don't need to install gapps or anything
With any other ROM I get:
• Possibly 1 day battery life
• Orgasm if I get any signal at all
• Wifi works completely on one in a billion roms, flaky on most
• Bluetooth rarely works
• No fix for any issues on ROMs that don't have major devs working on them
• Some apps don't work, and on a few ROMs some apps even kill the system and make it hot reboot
• Lag like it's a 3-year-old donut phone with the processor speed of a retarded potato with AIDS
• some need gapps, which is annoying to re-install every time you update, which also, you have to do every few days instead of once a year
So my conclusion is that screw custom ROMs. It might just be my device but that's how it plays out. I'll be much more careful to buy a phone that will have real support in the future, like the SGS II, Captivate, and SGS III do/will have.
Oh yeah and about my sig, that is the only ROM that I've gotten close to working 100%. And he's not a gtg, but he's got more support than big devs like that ever did, so if you're a sheep and need to use custom ROMs go with MoM.

I apologize, but I strongly detest the statement. I do respect every bit of what you have said, but I really do think that it is just a matter of personal use.
I have ran Aeon and other amazing custom ROMs and so far the best I have tried was Zeus 6. There are a few kinks, but hey-- it works!
Consequently, though, it's all a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer the debloated stock and customize it their own (i.e., build.prop tweaks, etc).
What I am getting at here is that there is no need to bash other custom ROMs. Although you did not point your finger on any specific one, but it really means a lot for people to like the developers' work. It's an Android Device... This is the main reason we got this: open source.

I get the opposite results of u bro... my lag on stock is sooo bad that I was about to throw my phone on the ground as hard as I could. Ics with some tweaks was awesome, jellybean should be really good if it ever comes. Now on my tablet stock on that is pretty good, with aosp it would fly though.

Plus, I agree with ryanscool, any time I have to use stock B3, everything is laggy. Personally, I think that Sammy just did such a crappy job on official GB and used halfass or dirty fixes to make it work. So when ppl try to mod, the crappiness comes out...
There are tons of work being done on the Infuse and I was here when ppl said development was dead; you gotta appreciate what's here man.
My advice Way, stay with stock and stop these random threads broskie

9/10/12 - FOR THOSE ON THE FIRST AT&T ICS LEAK: You may notice that you have an OTA Update available to you - it will update you to the newest version of Moto's ICS (as found in leak #2)... If you install it, you will not have any way to fxz your way out of trouble, receive the official ota (though this is probably close enough to it), or flash back to GB just for fun...
--------------------------------------------------------
Well, I'm sure Moto has been frantically checking our forums this week (out-dated, but always true - i'd like to think), and from the looks of things around here, they probably thought that this new ICS ota package slipped by unnoticed... But, it hasn't.
I picked up this new leak off of cheesecake earlier this week:

}
The first shot is from the leak pulled on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 - then it looks like someone didn't like the package name, and the second pic shows the leak (identical except the name) that has been on the server since Wednesday, Sept. 5... this looks like it's very close to the official release now.
So, why didn't you know about this leak?
Well, looks like you are already on ICS and/or not checking cheesecake , and more importantly, we did not want to just go and post the leak files for safety reasons - and it's a good thing that we didn't - because this new leak is more locked down than the first one, courtesy of the friendly folks at Moto.
As it stands, there is currently no way for us to downgrade back to GB from the new leak - and that is a sign of what's to come with the official OTA. (But, your devs are still working on that too)
Do some reading around the other forums/sites for Moto devices - they had the exact same thing - they could downgrade from some of the earlier leaks but not the more finalized ones or the official ota.
Post or PM with questions/concerns.. but, please don't be offended if I do not send you the leak files (I hope you understand).
Thanks to the other devs for their input and advice. Also, I want to give a very big and special thanks to Apex_Strider, Fall of Enosis, mtnlion, and DX2Trip for their contributions and troubles - if not for them, we would be in for a big surprise when the official release comes and someone tries to fxz back to gb - please make sure to hit the "Thanks" button for them.
Now, without further ado, Fall has a generous gift for anyone who's interested in making a ROM out of the new leak (see below)...
Ok guys, this leak came out and Altered asked a couple of us to test it. Now I can say from using the leak for a few days that it is more stable than the last.
HOWEVER:
I got myself into a jam and somehow deleted my backup and sent myself in a soft brick, while making some mods.
I cannot express the heavily enough to you:
WE CURRENTLY CANNOT FXZ BACK FROM THIS LEAK. MY A2 IS CURRENTLY STUCK IN FB. AND WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE RESTORED UNTIL WE GET A 4.0.4 FXZ
That being said, it runs great and a lot of the bugs were worked out from the last leak.
WHAT I KNOW WORKS:
Bootmenu works fine. SAFESTRAP HAS NOT BEEN TESTED. (I just somehow accidentally deleted my backup I made when I looped)
Jim's Root method works fine: Find it HERE. (Give proper thanks to Jim for it)
And since it is a Moto release, obviously WiFi, BT, and everything else works fine.
THINGS I NOTICED:
The Press and hold to pick a widget is gone all together.
I was one of the few who was actually OC'd to 1.2 on the previous leak. I was ALSO at 1.2 on this leak.
LASTLY:
This dump post is for creating ROMS from this dump ONLY. DO NOT mix and match files from either leak. They NEED to be treated as separate entities all together. That is how I got myself into my current softbrick. I flashed a mod that I thought would work, but the service.jars were just different enough to throw me into a loop. As long as you MAKE SURE you have a backup with Bootmenu you should be able to get out of a bootloop just fine.
Happy and careful building everyone:
Click here to download the system dump.
ENDING DISCLAIMER:
Obviously I am not responsible for what you do to your phone. Or if you brick it. We all know the risks with flashing. Safe flashing everyone! KEEP A BACKUP!

THANK YOU MAN! It was fun testing and by all means, ask me in the future cuz I'm always 100% down for the cause! Saddly since I made a boo-boo user error while fiddling with backups, I lost recovery and freaked before asking for help I went ahead and figured I test out the FXZ as well since theres nothing else I can do. (wouldnt boot past moto logo and errored out in AP mode saying no recovery) The FXZ DID leave me with a brick but no worries as I'll get a replacement soon within the week or so. Again, was fun testing and appreciate all your guys's hard work being done around here lately. Keep up the loyalty to our A2's...Ya'll rock! :good:
I bet Moto will supply a full ICS FXZ on official OTA, since we can't downgrade? Hopefully lol

Do you know Moto? Allow me to introduce the two of you:
Consumer, meet Satan.
There, now that the 'formalities' are out of the way, understand both of your roles in this relationship. You are the "bottom", and Motorola is the "top" -you're always going to be the 'taker', so lube up... makes the forceable entry easier on the linings of your, well, never mind.

Question here regarding this new leak. Are there any visual changes from the last leak or is everything pretty much the same?

No visual changes from what I saw man. Looks the same. Just less buggy and more stable overall.

To note some other changes in this new leak: aside from the new bootloader "security" features and recovery, the system folder is quite a bit bigger than the first leak. (Fyi.. the system dump is mostly harmless if someone were to build a rom from it - should work fine on any 4.0.4 build.. The dangerous things are the bootloader and recovery)
Also, we are still looking into any possible options to restore those who have not hard bricked - either by going forward or back.. if anyone wants to seriously look into this and/or contribute some useful ideas, please feel free to pm me.
To the four noble gentlemen above: a heartfelt thanks and my deepest regrets for your efforts and virtual losses.. I wish you the best. And I kinda wish I never found that blasted leak... :/

I have faith in you guys, that y'all will find a way around these soft bricked circumstances. If not, luckily we all have our warranties and/or insurances/backup devices, so we're not dead in the water.
For all others, if you happen to find a new leak on Cheesecake or otherwise, download and send to the devs here: DO NOT install the new leak(s) without consulting in full with the dev team, unless you'd like your phone to not boot.
You've been given warning, please heed accordingly...

I just wanted to say thanks to Alterd for finding this new leak and sharing all the info about it. Thank you to the testers as well. It sucks that you guys bricked your phones because of it but hopefully you'll be able to get your replacements soon. This new leak was handled a hell of a lot better than the last. Thanks again guys.

Some links for research for this current issue and the bootloader in general (though not specifically for the A2, they have some good info):
http://and-developers.com/
http://wiki.opticaldelusion.org/wiki/Motoactv/CDT
http://www.droid-developers.org/wiki/CDT
What I found was that the only major change between the first leak and this one is the cdt partition (all the other major ota partition file's md5 sums match those from the first leak except the cdt.bin) - and that's a major player in the bootloader - and that was the first thing to fail in flashing the fxz... and why the subsequent flash processes failed due to validation errors.. and probably why fastboot is now botched with an invalid CG error...
Anyway, just food for thought, digestion, and discussion...
Altered.

Don't feel bad. We all knew the risks. We always do. It led me into somewhat of a phyrric victory as I am now on a wonderfully unlocked Samsung GS2 skyrocket rocking CM9.
Please. Don't feel bad. You make houses with bricks my good man.

Lol... Thanks again guys for your kind manner and such, but I'm not beating myself up for it or nothing.. but I was chewing the skin off of my fingers for a couple of days there.
And, I did learn a lot from all of this - which is always good. Plus, that new 2.3.6 fxz for the folks on leak #1 seems to work well... maybe worth sharing soon, but definitely not for anyone getting the official ota...
Oh, and on another note, I stumbled across this today while browsing the portal news (I had no idea he was going to write this): http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-notification-toggles-to-your-droid-razr-rom/ - even though he ironically recalls the first leak... "Everything's coming up Milhouse!"
Nice work guys. For those of us on the previous leak what will the steps to upgrade to this leak or the final release be? I have no desire to ever return to gb so flashing back is of no concern to me unless it's the only way to flash forward. I'm guessing someone could make a backup of their Rom and just use the new recovery tool to upgrade to the leak or the official release? Thanks for the updates guys.

My guess would be that youd have to go back to GB before applying any of the newer leaks as we did for the first one. Just not necessary to go back to 2.3.5. These tests were fun but going from my A2 with perfect/amazing wifi signal to my X2 with horrible/sh!tty wifi signal...I'm a bit mad at myself for not waiting and or asking for help. This will be my fourth A2, two being bricks in the last month. Wish me luck when I talk to AT&T...not sure if they'll send me a replacement due to my mother suspending mine n my girlfriends line. But since shes still paying for it monthly youd think they'd still send me another one since I still have insurance on it right? lol, sorry, not meaning to bring this off topic but I'm just tweakin a lil bit n don't know what to expect. Again I'll say it though, thank you for all the hard and dedicated work here man!!!
