firstly i wrote pm to moderator to let me write to dev forum without spamming general forum.
He offcourse does not answered my question, he did nothing. Pretty normal i guess.
Then i jump into discussion on general about how stupid and unlogicall this rule is... Which is in fact making more spam, not preventing spam at all.
Thread was removed. Pretty normal i guess.
But why ffs moderator is removing my post here on general about what smartphone i'm using on "what smartphone you are using" thread? Why removing my normal posts?
Why moderator is making bad things to me? What is the reason? Bad day? Girl dumps ya? Hating world?

Pls respect our mods. They are busy people and might not be able to answer you pm's immediately. It's not because they are making it hard for you.
About the 10-post rule, like it or not it's a rule in xda. We all had to go through that, and it is in effect because it probably helps. Bottomline is a rule's a rule. And while some may disagree on it, we still nveed to follow it as long as it's in effect.
My advice is try to help out in the other forums first, read the rules, and prove that you can and will follow the rules.
And, oh yeah, respect out mods and all the members as well.

Lots of noobs start posting in wrong sections, and they cant afford any bs going on around this site. no i don't understand them removing your normal posts, but you do t have to understand. You don't know what the moderators are thinking, so don't judge them. Their needs to be a little order here BTW: for me the XDA app is having problems so that when you click on someone's profile and click profile then either topics or threads that it is saying "user does not have any posts" even if they do.

I did respect them on the beggining that's why i wrote an pm.

Can't post warez (paid apps), it's against the rules.

The purpose of this thread is to minimize the clutter and confusion in the already posted "apps" thread. However I did not post this to receive questions why I posted the thread. I also did not request anyone to put paid apps here, only apps that may be hard to find ie not available through the market any longer. There really isn't clutter and confusion in the Apps subforum. Yes, there are a LOT of threads, but it is very easy to use the search button to find what you need. We don't need another thread for something that is already there.

The moderator closed the thread on the basis that it wasn't the "XDA way," specifically citing XDA rules that by all means, in one's interpretation, would warrant the Unclefest thread being closed. There are alternative viewpoints on the matter, of which I subscribe, but I clearly communicated to the mod that I respected his decision because he's the mod. Throughout the whole interaction, the mod was a true professional about it. Without the mods, there would be no XDA and it'd be yet another crap-filled gutter of a forum within the cyberworld. Nevertheless, the Uncleest situation upset me, and I can only assume it upset SeanZ too.
Today, the mod shut down SeanZ's "best beard" thread in the General forum. I have no clue if there was any discussion between the mod and SeanZ about this. I suspect SeanZ is pulling his threads in protest, with the viewpoint that he generates a lot of traffic for the website and feels like the mod's aren't giving him a fair shake. An alternative viewpoint of this is simply that the XDA Skyrocket General thread is described as "Discussion about the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (general chat, tips & tricks, etc)," not beards. Ultimately it is indeed the mod's call.
I ask you all to just relax, take some time away from XDA, and not get too emotional. If you want to express anything about this situation, it should probably be in the General section or via PM to fellow users or the mod. Definitely NOT in the Dev section.
Do not forget this: SeanZ has always taken care of us. He'll either be back when he's ready, or he'll let us know where to find him in the cyberworld.

I respectfully submit this is a bad idea. As foolhardy as the notion you were going to limit all ICS posts to one thread. I understand the desire for order, but this will create the worst of all possible worlds.

The thread in question was clean and was serving its purpose just as my original did when the Note first released.
I would say motive to abuse power as a mod has been pretty much clearly expressed.
Regardless of the opinion you mention, I will make sure the situation is addressed.

The mods here have made decisions since the opening of the AT&T Note Forum that have made me question their motives at every turn.
There is a minimal sense of community here versus the Samsung Infuse forums. I have heard from others they feel the same way.

Anyone knows whether Samsung will add some of the stuff found in the SG3 i.e. S Beam, Smart stay, Camera features etc. into the Note 2. Anyone heard anything about that?

Can you give an example?
When I first posted noob questions they were in the correct section for the most part, I didn't really get "spamed" or anything, which thread are you referring to?
I joined xda at 3/2012
I did a very big search at least 2 months before to root and do other development t my device. (And i say development because only the members who create roms, kernels,mods ect are developers)
but there are a lot of people who make common or silly question and everyone troll them.and they are very rude.
Its a very serious site. The best for mobile development
But its only development. So dont be angry when someone ask silly things

Some can be, I'll admit that. But when you get so many people that do not read or search and then open threads that have been opened before, some get cranky. And I can understand that as well. Best way is to just disregard those who are bothering you and move on. The more you feed them the worse it gets.

It's fine, but if you opine such, you need to be ready to back it up with some examples. Bringing up a generality with no examples makes it hard for us to help ameliorate the situation.
OP,
When asking or posting...ensure you are in the correct section of the Forum for the device you are addressing. After exhausting your searches and finding no knowledge for your issues, then make your post.
You will have those members that at times come across as being harsh, it will happen. But just pass by those, and continue on to what you are addressing...
And if it gets to the point that it may be a bashing or personal attack, that is what the Report button is for, to get Moderators attention and to defuse the issues that may have come up...and PM are just a click away to and for any Moderator. But the best method is reporting.

MOD edit: This is technically against the rules. The real culprit is Appnana and they are "tricking" people to advertise for them by proxy. If this were just a discussion about the app it would probably be OK, but as soon as the "special offers" come out, then it stops being about the App and becomes about the referral. You really need to learn the rules. Finally you slow down on the nb4l posts for threads that never get locked, now you're spouting rules that don't exist. He's telling about an app.
The only problem is the app itself. It's not a scam, it's legit. But you get download apps that give you notification spam, takes a while to build any real points, and isn't really worth it once you get that first card cause all the easy point deals are done. It's a deal that's been around for in app money for a while now. I've gotten lots of $5 gift cards to Starbucks and Amazon off em. But anymore and it's a pain and typically not worth it.

If you tell me "I just got a HTC one and it's epic! Go buy one." would you get banned for advertising for HTC in the forums?

is a side note to the above mentioned rule.
according to the rule you cannot sell or trade on forum but if you want to sell then the side note comes into action that xda provides advertising facility. you sharing that code so for a mutual benefit is a sort of trade that you use my code and we both get points. since it is a trade it is against rule 7 so pay some amount to xda and get your ads done.
