Can't post warez (paid apps), it's against the rules.
The rest are free and can be easily found with a google search or in the market.
Opening another thread to minimize the clutter
The purpose of this thread is to minimize the clutter and confusion in the already posted "apps" thread. However I did not post this to receive questions why I posted the thread. I also did not request anyone to put paid apps here, only apps that may be hard to find ie not available through the market any longer. Lets stick to the rule, "if you don't have anything positive to post, don't post at all."

There really isn't clutter and confusion in the Apps subforum. Yes, there are a LOT of threads, but it is very easy to use the search button to find what you need. We don't need another thread for something that is already there.
Lets stick to the rule, "if you don't have anything positive to post, don't post at all."

And maybe you should stick to the rule: Newbs don't need to be reorganizing our forum. The forum works fine the way it is, if people need an app, they can search for it. The forum has worked perfectly fine before you were here, and it will continue to work fine now, even without this useless thread.

I dont know why so many ask the same questions over and over again,most of the time the answers are just a few pages back. Is it cause you are to lazy to search? "i searched and read a few pages back didnt find an answer" is always the lazy way out. If you dont want to read 400 pages start searching then it would only be 100 pages,but no its easier to just ask again,in one forum the same question was asked 10 times in less than 4 pages. The search function isn't the best, especially when you're discussing something that has fairly generic terms. It's a lot easier to fire off a quick post if anyone knows the answer off hand than to slog through a couple dozen posts that are completely irrelevant.

True the search isnt the greatest,but sometimes it only takes reading the last ten pages of a thread to find an answer,thats what i was getting at,most take the easy way out cause the thread is so long. Which in turn makes the thread longer.

You've got a point, but the search algorithm needs serious tweaking. Every time I've used it, I get a ton of useless results despite every combination of pertinent words I can think of.

I went to the Thunderbolt Apps & Themes forum, hit search this forum, and typed in exactly what you did, black gmail apk. This was the first thread that came up when the search results appear.

Because thats where i first tried it and got a million posts that had nothing to do with gmail, i just tried it again. i develop for the sgs4g and joe ^^ is right, he went from the MT4G to the SGS4G and in both forums all he does is bi*ch and moan about problems nobody is having with the rom, then he also stirs up fights in the forum, he will be in your forums within the week

He offcourse does not answered my question, he did nothing. Pretty normal i guess.

Pls respect our mods. They are busy people and might not be able to answer you pm's immediately. It's not because they are making it hard for you.
About the 10-post rule, like it or not it's a rule in xda. We all had to go through that, and it is in effect because it probably helps. Bottomline is a rule's a rule. And while some may disagree on it, we still nveed to follow it as long as it's in effect.
My advice is try to help out in the other forums first, read the rules, and prove that you can and will follow the rules.
And, oh yeah, respect out mods and all the members as well.

Lots of noobs start posting in wrong sections, and they cant afford any bs going on around this site. no i don't understand them removing your normal posts, but you do t have to understand. You don't know what the moderators are thinking, so don't judge them. Their needs to be a little order here BTW: for me the XDA app is having problems so that when you click on someone's profile and click profile then either topics or threads that it is saying "user does not have any posts" even if they do.

Can you give an example?
When I first posted noob questions they were in the correct section for the most part, I didn't really get "spamed" or anything, which thread are you referring to?
I joined xda at 3/2012
I did a very big search at least 2 months before to root and do other development t my device. (And i say development because only the members who create roms, kernels,mods ect are developers)
but there are a lot of people who make common or silly question and everyone troll them.and they are very rude.
Its a very serious site. The best for mobile development
But its only development. So dont be angry when someone ask silly things

Some can be, I'll admit that. But when you get so many people that do not read or search and then open threads that have been opened before, some get cranky. And I can understand that as well. Best way is to just disregard those who are bothering you and move on. The more you feed them the worse it gets.

It's fine, but if you opine such, you need to be ready to back it up with some examples. Bringing up a generality with no examples makes it hard for us to help ameliorate the situation.
OP,
When asking or posting...ensure you are in the correct section of the Forum for the device you are addressing. After exhausting your searches and finding no knowledge for your issues, then make your post.
You will have those members that at times come across as being harsh, it will happen. But just pass by those, and continue on to what you are addressing...
And if it gets to the point that it may be a bashing or personal attack, that is what the Report button is for, to get Moderators attention and to defuse the issues that may have come up...and PM are just a click away to and for any Moderator. But the best method is reporting.

Nope, read it, it's cool where he's coming from, but I couldn't care less. If superuser was such a security risk, I doubt cyanogen would still be using it, and about every single rom out there uses supersu (also get regular updates), so I'm sure if there was a security flaw, it'd be known by now, and he updates regularly enough I'm sure it'd get patched if it was, just like koush's.
I like Supersu, it gets regular updates, chainfire seems intelligent from reading some of his forum posts, and tons of roms are using it without security breaches due to it. Not everything closed source is bad, some people just put a lot of work into their app and don't want to just give it away (unless that was the intention, ex linux). Could it probably be made better with open source? Sure, but giving up your source also brings kangers (think anthrax kernel). I love open source, I love seeing others code to see how they went about something, it's an art and there will always be someone smarter than you to learn from, but I also can appreciate people's decision to keep their programs closed source after spending so many hours on computer science labs to make a simple command line shopping cart and it annoys me when people classify someones work insecure solely because they don't give the source code. Plus some people do this as their living and make money off it, how much money do you think someone will make if they give away their code? Sure there will be donators, but most likely someone will build the program and distribute it for free.
Everyone's opinion is different, I tried to state mine in a brief way that didn't attack anyone earlier but you decided to call me out and go all "bro" on me so now you know where I'm coming from.

I use this app for two reasons. It's open source and is made by one of the best developers ever! He also developed thus other little thing called CWM!
