Where is the ROM development for the galaxy s4g?. There is no miui or cm7. Why is this

Heh if only we could get a kernel. Sadly there will not be one until sammy releases an offical GB which I hear could be happening beginning next year. When it comes to placing blame its not so much Samsung at fault here. I mean there seems to be a new leak at least once a week here so its not like they aren't working on it. If fault should be placed anywhere its with Tmobile who pretty much doesn't give a fck if you have GB on your phone. They've pretty much taken the, if its not broke don't update it approach.

Well at least he didn't swear at the devs this time.

Thats what I've been wondering actually.
I've only had an android since like march, rooted it within a couple months just so I could delete bloatware, but only really got into flashing and stuff about a month ago. So what's so great about miui that everyone keeps bringing it up? Surely it can't really be any better than whats already available to us.

AFAIK its a ROM that gets official with the MIUI people and receives OTA updates each times a new version is available. Just like CM7. I think.

Yeah, supposedly, it's on par with CM7 now.

As someone who has been running MIUI since April, there are many advantages to using MIUI over other AOSP ROM's.
First, I love the fact that it gets updated weekly. Having to flash nightlies like with CM7 can be a hassle. Once a week works perfect for me and they are constantly making it better and the user interface just works.
Second, look @ this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990233 There are a few thousand posts to look through to see how you can customize MIUI. You can literally customize every single aspect of the ROM to your liking and I wouldn't want to have my phone any other way.
MIUI has been my daily driver for the better part of the last year and I don't plan on looking back unless something else truly mindblowing comes along.

You can say whatever you like. This is general section and this is a free country also. I am making a stand on a issue that has taken place and I and many others feel the same way. I have had many PM's on who they should contact to remove him. This is for all that want the same to happen. You have the right to feel as you do and I also have the same right. Say what you would like. And be thankful that you have that right to do so. This is for a Dev. that is on our device and I and many others would like to voice the way we feel about it. Can you give an example?
When I first posted noob questions they were in the correct section for the most part, I didn't really get "spamed" or anything, which thread are you referring to?

I joined xda at 3/2012
I did a very big search at least 2 months before to root and do other development t my device. (And i say development because only the members who create roms, kernels,mods ect are developers)
but there are a lot of people who make common or silly question and everyone troll them.and they are very rude.
Its a very serious site. The best for mobile development
But its only development. So dont be angry when someone ask silly things

Some can be, I'll admit that. But when you get so many people that do not read or search and then open threads that have been opened before, some get cranky. And I can understand that as well. Best way is to just disregard those who are bothering you and move on. The more you feed them the worse it gets.

It's fine, but if you opine such, you need to be ready to back it up with some examples. Bringing up a generality with no examples makes it hard for us to help ameliorate the situation.

OP,
When asking or posting...ensure you are in the correct section of the Forum for the device you are addressing. After exhausting your searches and finding no knowledge for your issues, then make your post.
You will have those members that at times come across as being harsh, it will happen. But just pass by those, and continue on to what you are addressing...
And if it gets to the point that it may be a bashing or personal attack, that is what the Report button is for, to get Moderators attention and to defuse the issues that may have come up...and PM are just a click away to and for any Moderator. But the best method is reporting.

OSX and Skyrocket USB Tether - Easy as Pie!

I have confirmed this thread works on OSX 10.7.5 and CM10 Official Stable and latest nightly.
I was looking for a really easy way to do this since Hotspot really makes my phone get hot if I try to use it. I like the USB tether as it is more secure than hotspot and save the internal components from getting extremely hot...
Check it out all you other Mac users...
OP has posted this outside of the Skyrocket forums and this is in NO WAY my work. Just handy and confirmed working.

It says NO WHERE in the rules that it is for Original Development.
Just says give the credit to the developer if you are working on it.

Don't feel bad. I post things in development that gets moved all the time. Things gain more traction in development threads. More people who know what's what will see it, even if someone wants to rip you a new one, Lol. And people pretending to be mods and demeaning people at the first chance get, wastes as much, or more, time, space and energy than people posting in the wrong section.

MOD edit: This is technically against the rules. The real culprit is Appnana and they are "tricking" people to advertise for them by proxy. If this were just a discussion about the app it would probably be OK, but as soon as the "special offers" come out, then it stops being about the App and becomes about the referral. You really need to learn the rules. Finally you slow down on the nb4l posts for threads that never get locked, now you're spouting rules that don't exist. He's telling about an app.
The only problem is the app itself. It's not a scam, it's legit. But you get download apps that give you notification spam, takes a while to build any real points, and isn't really worth it once you get that first card cause all the easy point deals are done. It's a deal that's been around for in app money for a while now. I've gotten lots of $5 gift cards to Starbucks and Amazon off em. But anymore and it's a pain and typically not worth it.

is a side note to the above mentioned rule.
according to the rule you cannot sell or trade on forum but if you want to sell then the side note comes into action that xda provides advertising facility. you sharing that code so for a mutual benefit is a sort of trade that you use my code and we both get points. since it is a trade it is against rule 7 so pay some amount to xda and get your ads done.
