First off, Hello!
For those that haven't seen, there are two new FSMs assigned to this board, myself and af974, and I am happy to take a moment to introduce ourselves.
I have no doubt that i have run into some of you on other forums, but for those who i haven't, I am FSM for a number of other boards including Nook Color, AT&T G SII, and Iconia A100; I am very excited to be joining your community.
Like others here, i have an open door policy; if you ever have an issue, please do not hesitate to contact me. My goal is to treat everyone equally, both user and dev alike.
As it is, i will turn it over to af974, and look forward to the time here with everyone.
Nice to meet you and have you aboard.

Glad to see you'll be poking your head in here. I'm hoping the TF700 community will be closer to the Nook Color community than the TF201.

Flying Spaghetti Monsters? There is only ONE FSM; therefore, it is impossible to assign two to this board. So, which one of you is the real noodly goodness?

I recently activated a donations button after a few weeks of going back and forth. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that, but I'll be very honest that I wouldn't mind grabbing a "dev" unit if I can find one on the cheap, in the Outlet. Having two active mods is definitely tough with one device. So I figured every little bit would help.
I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who's donated, already. I am humbled and flattered and amazed at the generosity here and I really appreciate it. I think even my wife is amazed to the point that she might not bug me as much for being a "tech widow", as she likes to put it.
Just donated! Thanks for all your hard work. I'm loving the VEGAn rom!
Me too. Many thanks, Roebeet.
Thanks to you both!!!
Donated. You are the reason why I got this gadget to begin with...
Merry Xmas dude...
Sent a little monetary love your way as well. Looking forward to what you can do once we get the source from Viewsonic!

Hey your wife gives you crap because you are uploading your stuff, my wife gives crap because I'm downloading your stuff. It's all good...
My way of saying thanks.
You have been doing a wonderful job with your 2 mods. Both are the reason for getting a G Tab in the first place. Many, Many Thanks.

Sent some money your way. I am enjoying my GTab because of all the time you put into making the device worth keeping.
Keep up the good work.
Happy Holidays
James
Merry Christmas! And thank you!
Donated too. I'm just reviving my skills as an old skool linux and java developer and hacking away at the Gtab is just what I needed to both get into the Andorid platform, while having fun at same time!! Thanks Roebeet for all the hard work and thank your wife for being the longsuffering "tech widow".
BTW: Also ordering the dock to get the pinouts to build a better docking station (HDMI + built in USB hub) -- so looking forward to giving back a little in the near future!
So, what is the transformer....?
An Autobot or Decepticon?
You decide.
Also.... on a side note, Just an idea for the sake of fun and competition.
two willing developers go head to head to make the best rom they can. In the beginning we'll assign one person autobots, and one decepticon. a we'll see which one is better by users voting.
Ha!

I'll just add that I think the TF reflects the character of its user. So if you answered "Decepticon," think carefully about what that means...........

hey folks,
I started a new blog dedicated to Android gaming news and reviews. I know what you're probably thinking, yet another gaming blog. Even so, I would love for you guys to just take a peak. It's called The Android Arcade. I know there have been folks trying to start up a blog but fail to make it through their first month but my team and I are seeing this to the end. I have staffed the site with great writers and we publish articles at least twice in a day (more as folks start discovering us).
We have also created a dedicated game section where you can quickly see which games are worth your time. Think of it as a curation of the noteworthy games. The list is scarce at the moment but we'll be adding a lot more soon. The game section could be found at:
http://games.theandroidarcade.com
So I hope you guys stop by and check us out. If you have any suggestions or games you'd like us to cover, please let u know. A phone/tablet app will be released in the next couple months
Cheers!
I've seen your posts on /r/Gaming every now and then. Keep it up, man! I check every one of your posts! My username on Reddit is Noontoker17.
Not very professional, I know.
I appreciate the support. We like the /r/androidgaming subreddit to be sure to check us out there too!
Yeah, that's what I meant. /r/AndroidGaming. Whoops.
Looks a lot more professional than Droid Gamers
Hey, I've got a few games up on the Play Store. Two of them are in my sig. Any chance of them getting coverage on your new blog?
Be sure to hit the contact us button on the site to submit games. Thanks!!

Looks good - you might want to consider doing percentages and recommendations. Works really well the way they do it on theregister.co.uk and when the stick a "recommended" sticker you take note - especially if you're covering a large number of games.
Always good to have some more decent reviews!

I just want to give a quick THANK YOU to all of the devs and leaders in our wonderful A2 community. Not only have you made me not regret my decision to buy an Atrix 2, you have all made me part of a wonderful community, and helped me spring an interest in Android development, and want to become a leading member, not only in the Atrix 2 community, but in whatever other parts of XDA that I dare to tread. I have learned a TON in the past 6 months or so, and I learn more every day. Again, a huge thanks goes out to the wonderful leaders of this forum (especially the few that have helped me one on one...you know who you are!) Thank you for your commitment and hard work every day for all of us who want to void our warranties! Much love goes out to all of you!

Furthermore, thank you for pointing us in the right direction when we aren't headed that way. Some people in the community think that you are being harsh, but I beg to differ. Sometimes a little coarse is the only way to be, and doing all this work for free is definitely stressful. Accept it for what it is, instead of making excuses for your own butthurt. These guys are working hard as hell for you, when they don't owe you anything at all, so thank them for what they are doing every chance you get, sand let the n00bs pay their dues. They will get over it. Thank you, guys, for all your hard work and sacrifice.......

I decided to type out a thank you letter to a good friend and a very helpful guru named lj50036
I am sure some/most of you know this person, he is one of the people who helped develop CMB ROM for Asus TF700
The very first time I got my Asus TF700 I was having issues with rooting and flashing it, so I posted a thread on here asking for help and in
little to no time I got a notification and it was lj50036 asking if I needed any help just to send him an e-mail through g-mail, which I did.
Not only did he help me flash and root my tablet but also went through step by step process in helping me! It was genius!
After a month I ended up bricking my tablet! It was frustrating because I use it for school and since I didn't like using a laptop
and loved my Android so much! I decided to post a thread even though it felt hopeless! In just about 10mins I received a notification
regarding my bricked tablet, yup! It was him! lj50036.
Not only did he help BUT! He called from Iowa to Toronto where I live just to help me step by step on unbricking my tablet!
I don't think I have ever met a person online who was this dedicated and humbly patient to help! He is an awesome person folks!
Very kind and generous! This is a huge huge huge huge!!! Thank you to lj50036.
If you guys ever need any Asus tablet related help he is your number one help! In return guys! Please leave him a kind feedback!
Even better! A donation towards his help would be just beautiful! Even though he told me the only thing he wants back from the people is just a kind thank you and feedback! But still! I feel like donating show's your true kind of appreciation!
Remember guys we're all android fans here! Not only that! We're also all friends to one on another.
It was thanks to XDA-Developers for bringing us here and a little bit closer together as humans <- lj50036 taught me that!
So to conclude this! I would like to say thank you thank you thank you!! lj50036 A.k.a Joshua Lynch for patiently guiding me and showing me the way!
For anybody who wants an awesome ROM for their TF700! Please check out this thread here!

WOW
IM SPEECHLESS
OP is right, I'm also amazed when I see people caring and helping with great motivation on this forum. I read a lot of things here and it feels good to see there are passionate people always ready to help others enhance their knowledge. So here's my "thanks" post! Keep up the great work everybody! :highfive:
Thank you, lj50036 !
I initially thought I had bricked my TF700t. Then I found his email address on the Crombi KK thread and decided to shoot him an email to ask for help.
Within 10 minute I had his reply, and in 30 minutes (due mostly to me trying to set up the connection) he was (remotely) configuring my tablet. At first, I couldn't believe this guy's kindness. Then, I couldn't believe his skill.
He spent three hours (yep!) helping me out! He said he wanted nothing in return. He said he enjoyed helping people.
In the end, he made sure I understood well how I should do future installations.
All I can say is: this guy is one of a kind. Stay this way.
Constantin.
These kind of stories are exactly what this world we all live in now need more of and reading one here at xda developers puts a smile on my face. Good on you mate and you're a prime example of what we need more of. Cheers
