Are you going on every section and posting a thread with this title that asks questions that are vague and easily searchable?
Well i have different questions that should be in different parts of the forums, I dont understand while people insist on submitting that on the forum. If you wish not to help just move along.

I am helping you. I told you to use the search, which is going to help you a lot more than you think. Even browsing through these threads, I'm sure you see that a lot of these processes can be a bit extensive. And, especially when you ask vague questions like in the original post, no one can help because you're not saying anything specifically (WHICH launcher are you looking to change to? etc. etc.)
Get it? Gonna' use that search? Hope so.

I normally don't like this kind of answer but in this case i would have to agree with TJ, start from the beginning first, have the device rooted and flash your custom ROM then everything will come easier
These guys are just morons. In the time you guys wrote all that crap, you could have just answered his question or atleast guide him.
Even thought you can somewhat modify the appearance, and customize it to your linking, you will need to root your phone in order to modify certain elements.
For beginner I suggest you download a few apps that will allow you to do some minor tweeking. Here's a list of a few apps to start you off.

Flickie
Switch pro

So we're morons because we didn't post a broad answer with suggestions of five different things like you? I think you should wisen up before you start slinging around insults that describe yourself more than anyone else.
There's an old saying that goes, "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for the night, but if you teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime."
THAT'S the mentality that goes into showing people the usefulness of the search tool. Unless it's something profound or newly developed by that particular person, odds are it's been discussed and can be found with the search tool.
You above just gave him tips to different kinds of launchers, and suggested things like rooting his phone, but didn't post any kinds of links to tutorials or downloads for the apps themselves... are you expecting him to SEARCH for these things himself or what?... exactly.

I didn't give him a smart answer, and I not only respected him, but gave reasoning as to why I gave the answer that I did... in fact, the only person to be dissrespectful and give an answer that doesn't truly help is... well... you. LMFAO. IN fact, I think I called you out pretty in depth, and your response was a childish sentence with a "name" inserted. Get real. But, I guess you were "answering me with the best of your knowledge", so I shouldn't expect anything more, eh?

Okay, I just wanted to share with everyone here how the mods act. Despite my good intentions with my thread yesterday about people considering temp root over S-OFF for simple bloatware removal, I was flamed into oblivion by the revolution whores here.

@Matt - I feel your pain man. Sometimes as mods, people get a little over zealous with their cleanup powers. Just remember, one mod doesn't necessarily express the views of the whole community.

I'll look around for the list. On the forums I mod/ admin on, the mods names are on the designated forum so all can see. Not the case here.
Not only have them resurrect it, see if they'll delete any trolling comments as well.

hello everyone As some of you must have already read that Moto is closing down in asia-pacific and so in india, I was thinking to sell of my A2.I'm not really sure but thoughts are coming in my mind.So what I want to ask here is that is there any development and breakthrough on good front going on ? (I'm sure something or other might be surely brewing up amongst devs) but still is it that exciting, If yes i would hold of my A2 and wont sell it off (If i am getting some good ROM) or atleast a progress on it (don't get me wrong here i m not pushing anyone).
Just wanted to ask coz, if there is no future regarding development I might think to sell A2 before the prices drop even more.

I already know that nothing is guranteed but looking at situation one can atleast judge what is up in store.Right now that dev section is kinda stagnant and devs are upto something in secret and that is absolutely fine considering what moto has done in past.So a small heads up would always be welcomed.

Really? How long have you been here? To pose the question as to if there may be no 'exciting' advances being made on the development front is rather insulting. I can say that I myself have worked 'behind the scenes' and these guys are ALWAYS working on things. How "exciting" they may be is purely based on your own perception. If there was any indication of having no future of development, don't you think these guys would have moved on half a year ago from this phone? Also, I don't see as to why Motorola shutting down to some capacity in India would have any bearing on whether to sell your Atrix 2 or to keep it. Not sure if this is "forum fishing", but hold onto your pole... you're going to get some bites.

No, the dev team hasn't bought tickets to "Margaritaville" and will not be kicking up their heels after ordering two pina coladas- they are always on the job, and always testing. For one I'm not being impatient.Impatient would be "hey you dev wats taking you so long i want new ROM" < This is impatient and arrogant. I never said anything like this,It was just a humble question.If you as a kid as some questions to your elder coz they know more does that count as being arrogant,impatient and rude ? You're right my friend, but the atmosphere and the people being what they are around this forum, you were always going to be flamed. I'd warned you.
In any case, there's not much anybody is going to be able to tell you. Things are uncertain and they take time...you know what I mean.
I wonder why anybody can't understand that Motorola leaving India does have a bearing on whether you want to keep your phone. I perfectly understand.
Anyway, long story short, on this forum, if you ask a question - you're spamming, if you don't know something - you're an idiot, if you you have a different opinion - you're being aggressive.

Oh, I'm good. Trust me, my blood pressure is still within normal range. I was just clarifying that my comments were not of a "flaming" nature. Now, if others flame the OP over this, I'd have to align myself with Archmag3, in that he's got every right to ask a question here. With every question should come answers, unfortunately and at times frequently they happen to be befouled with opinion.

I never suggested that any particular persons comments were "flaming" in nature. So we're cool. BTW, "opinions" by themselves can never "befouled" or for that matter be true or untrue. That's something lots of people here don't understand. Hence, all the unpleasantness.

I wasn't arguing semantics. It's something that requires serious introspection among some guys here.
Just think like this..if moto is shutting down sales in india that means no one is ever goin to get a chance to own such an awesome phone like atrix 2..this phone is really awesome man..i am goin to hold on to my A2 (mine just two months old) till the last breath is out of my phone..and i would advice you to do the same..and service centres will work naa..so why worry??

I think the resale value will be adversely affected because of real or perceived lack of after sales support.
About chance to own a Motorola phone, I think that is less of a consideration as these days, everything is available on ebay India.
Looking to pay anyone for fully functional WP8 Samsung Aviv S port to Verizon GS3.....Thinking it's possible since this was done between 2 HTC devices before. HD2.

You guys realize that you just look like security guards, right? No real power, but love to think you do by being sarcastic flamers. You're annoying for no other reason than to think you're somebody you're clearly not. You took time to be annoyed instead of continuing to scroll. Maybe if you left your parents' basement for an hour, you would realize how ridiculous you look to people with lives.

I would say something as witty as you have, except my mom is on her way down the stairs right now to bring me a box of Little Debbie Snack Cakes while I watch some Star Trek.
I am obliged to reprimand the OP bit because I think WP8 on our phone would be awesome, I don't mind seeing this here. And I am glad everyone now knows about this. I bet there are many others interested.

Whether or not they are being like security guards, they are right about this going in general. As there is currently no actual development taking place, this is just a thread clogging the dev section. Until there is at least a preview build, this should be moved. Honest mistake by the op. I mentioned this in one of the other threads, but the Ativ S was seen on the Verizon roadmap. I believe that would simplify some of the process in porting it.
