I'm going to take a guess, and assume he's talking about how he has multiple "kindles" registered to once Amazon account(?)
Sent from my MB508 using xda premium

as an avid flasher I have encountered the "too many authorized devices please purchase another copy or remove devices" error. you have to remove the multiple copies of the same device in Amazon settings on the desktop site. if you are unsure which devices to leave authorized you can check by opening the kindle app on each device and in settings it will give you the name of the device ie "7th android" and will allow you to rename the device as well

I have to say, I don't quite understand!:crying:

I guess the same but it is not kindle specific. My mk802 when reset shows up as another device so I too have multiple androids listed that are actually the same single device with no way to remove them from the list.

I also have run in to this
I have a few books that I purchased from Amazon that I can no longer open due to too many devices. I was stupid and instead of deactivating a device before selling or trading it I would just wipe the device and install a fresh ROM. Can I deactivate devices from my amazon account and be able to read these again?

Mmmm..
Was not aware of this issue

Yes you can deactivate the extra devices

I flashed my Kindle with a Jelly Bean Rom and I don't really read many books. I use this thing in school and I got the Kindle Android OS saved and backed up. So when school hits I might bring this and the teachers think I read a book when they walk by but really, I just get on the internet or use a texting app. Or watch a movie with subtitles

its easy to remove devices, I find the hard part is finding the right page in the amazon account settings.
If you don't know which is active just deactivate all of them, it registers again when you sign in.
Also why does Amazon keep prompting me to buy a kindle when I already own one.

New Market working on MIUI and Cyanogen 7

Just wanted to confirm after testing that the new Market is working on both the MIUI and Cyanogen Roms.
Of course you can't watch videos [you can in fact rent, but not watch] on rooted devices.

Can you give a little more detail about what rooted phones aren't able to do related to videos?

Yeah. Rooted phones can rent movies/videos but cannot watch them. And getting a refund will consist of filling out a refund form.
So if you're rooted don't even bother going through the hassle of trying to rent a movie.

I agree too, the Movies on rooted phones is bull****. As if I'm really going to open Shootme and record a movie at 2 frames per second and have my phone blow up halfway through the movie.
But where the hell did you get the new Market? I don't want to wait for Google to push it, it could take weeks.

The new market is cool. And seems a lot faster. It works on the ROM i'm currently using (see signature). Not being able to watch movies is something i don't really care about tbh. If I REALLY need to watch a movie on the go I can just use Netflix.

It said it was running 2.2.1 but the video was fake as hell. Our tablet does not have an sd slot yet in the video it said sd mounted and as soon as it got to the part where it shows the storage amount it blurs out. Also the cameraman conveniently drops the camera the one time where the dude forgets to swipe his finger yet the tablet still switches to a new page. From the looks it did not seem legit to me at least.
It's probably seeing the internal drive space as the SD card space.
Sent from my Htcclay's SuperCM7 G2 using XDA App
If u notice the SD storage read 28gigs. It's reading the internal SD card as the external. So that's legit. And second the nexus s I believe didn't have a SD slot yet the option was still there and showed storage.

We already have a team working on porting android on it as we speak. Furthermore I do not think the resolution is proper
As per the documentation, maximum resolution supported on the Froyo is 854x480 (WVGA854) and it looks more than that.

Adobe Flash for ICS Leak

Alright as we all know Adobe is dropping flash support for Android starting with 4.1 (aka. Jellybean). They are even going as far as pulling flash from the play store on August 15. They specifically say though they will support flash for 4.0.x devices (which should include us). The problem is though flash does not work! Or at least embedded flash video does not work. This is not just a problem with the ICS leak, after spending a couple of hours scouring forums I've found that pretty much every Moto device on ICS is having this problem (including the Razr, Razr Maxx, and Bionic). As am sure with a lot of you flash was a large selling point for Android over iOS. Even though HTML5 is emerging, it is still in its infancy stages, and not many websites support it; most websites are still using flash. So I am creating this thread as a "work thread" to get ideas and solutions out there to get flash working on our phones.

[Q] Best Tablet for Small Child.

Hi. My name is Ari and I'm a alcoholic.
Just kidding, but seriously.
Ok here is the deal, like my tittle states I am looking for a reasonable tablet for my son. I will not state his age whereas he is extremely too young for such device, but his mother (my ex), yes I am single PM for details, have agreed it may be a good idea to buy one.
Reasons why we are considering;
To enhance his learning abilities, play learning games, and she questioned if there was something out there we could possibly use as a movie viewer while on longer then normal car rides.
Now I know there are probably 107 threads just like this but i felt the need to make a new one. I would really like all opinions so I can better gauge my research before making a purchase.
Clearly an iPad would be a good choice but lets face it folks, I'm not wiping my ass with money.
Any help, kind words and inquires about dating would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.

How about an e-ink Kindle then? That way he can read even more books. I may be conventional in my views but I believe that cultivating the habit of reading when young is extremely important later on in life. =)
The Kindle Fire is also an option as it'll give your child the opportunity to play games.
the nexus 7 is a good choice; fast and responsive hardware for a fair price

°°PROTEST°° NFL app won't run on rooted phones

As per the subject heading, the NFL's official app chose to not allow access to users with rooted devices.
It seems more and more app makers (from larger companies) are making this decision, and, obviously, it's lame... and of course they have the right to do this (so please don't argue that point) but it goes against the concept of Android's openness.
So, even if you have no interest in the NFL, I encourage all of you to download the app from the play store and review it at 1 STAR as a sign of protest. I've seen the app's rating go from 4.7 to 4.0 in the last couple days due to all the rooted users protesting the NFL's choice to do this.
Cheers
