I had asked for a back door at one service center in mulund, they told me that they havent got any accessories of yet at any center, but this was around 1 n half month back.. u can call em up and ask if it is available now, otherwise try fommy.co.in.

I am in the same dilemma. Extended 3500ma batteries and covers for P900/999 are available on eBay for around 11-15, so I am going to go that way I guess.
Hard to believe the regular covers are so scarce.

I finally recieved the email from the company that had them on backorder. Not only have they clarified that these are only for wholesale customers, but the price went up to $30. from about $12.
I've got two now, so don't need one anymore. Just a heads up.

I sort of struck out, they told me to go to a service center for a swap and to bring my "broken" door. Mines not broken so...
I will go to the service center when I'm in the area however and see what I can do.

It's been 4 months that i have my HTC and all 3 letters on back cover have fallen off...
First fell the T, then H and today i saw C fell off and i didn't even know so all letters are lost...
It's a European model and not in warranty .... I have no plans to buy another mobile for next year.
what a shame HTC, i bought this phone for better build and this is what i get....?

Happened to mine as well, and a lot of other people. I contacted HTC by email through their site and told them the letters and the ring around the camera fell off and was very displeased in their build quality. They gave me a new one.

They are a sticker material on the aluminum which gives them a different color than the rest of the metal.
Just warning you guys... Put a transparent rounded small tape on the letters... You could be next victims...
My set is not in warranty... It was imported from Europe... i am in Asia... Do you think Asian guys will exchange it for me for free?
...or put a light coat of clear varnish (or even clear nail polish) over them.
Asian guys might do it for free, Just ask.

the picture is not so clear but, I actually think it looks pretty cool like that.
from the pic it makes it look like there is strips of carbon fiber pieces underneath...
anyway, you said no warranty but have you tried contacting HTC anyway?
maybe they'll hook you up regardless since the product is less then a year old.
if not, look at it this way... you now have a one of a kind, limited edition back cover.

Well mines never seen skin contact seeing as I keep a rubber cover on mine at all times unless I'm changing the battery.

Yeah the cover helps. I font have one on my mine and its in and out of my pocket at work.
it's not the letters that's my problem, it's the display-glas. scratchy as hell allready. but my htc legend is scratch free

Well, I am facing quite a lot of problems. It crashes once everyday, The other day I was giving my exam( was copying answers from my phone xD) and BOOM it crashed..RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES! I also face headphone jack issues, screen issues and Phone heating/battery issues. And i have a ****ty service centre in my area.. Real bad reviews.
So once i give it to get serviced it will take a while to come back.
P.S - What is the time period to get a refund?

To tell you in simple words you won't get a complete refund after using it for like 5 months.
At the most you can request the service center guys to put in a brand new motherboard & be happy if they do that.
I will take it to the service centre tommorow and revert back
And one more thing before I take it to the service centre. I did not fill the warranty card that came with the phone
I just have the bill.

One way of getting a refund is screwing up ur motherboard (dont ask me how, **** happens!) and hoping that the SSC doesnt have any stock. I got my SGR's MB replaced once already and it got screwed again, so I've given it back and they said they hv to replace the motherboard again.
Although Galaxy R is a fantastic device in itself, one part of me hopes that they will gimme refund saying MB is outta stock. And this is mainly due to the step motherly treatment meted out to it by Samsung and relative lack of dev support compared to HTC and other Samsung flagship devices.
I'll know in a couple of days. And maybe u can use this trick.
P.S. My SGR's motherboard got screwed on it own, I did not do it for the refund

Hi if you don't mind which country are you from ? Are you from India ?
If not then it seems that you don't have any service centers in your country ? Why don't you take it to one ?

My beloved Galaxy R suffered its first casualty last night and I think its a big one.I kept it for charging overnight while it was switched on from 2.30pm to 7 am.In the morning I noticed the phone was in 'deep sleep' mode.I tried force restarting the phone and removing the battery and replacing it just didnt budge.I then skipped work took it to the service centre in Dadar,Mumbai where they were clueless about the model itself let alone the problem.They couldnt diagnose the problem for 20 mins and asked me to carry on and call them in the afternoon.The afternoon call was fruitless and they told me that it would take a couple of days to repair it. Although I have serious doubts about whether my phone would be repaired.
Fingers crossed eitherways,but I am not going down without adequate compensation if the phone cannot be repaired

I was thinking if I should get it replaced saying some other hardware issues as I can see that FlipKart does not really check if handset is defective or not.
Please let me know what are your thoughts on this. I have only about a week to return it.

I purchased a note edge from amazon Germany for £540 which I thought was a pretty good deal.
Anyway it arrived this morning and shock horror. ... There is bleeding along the top edge of the screen!!!!
I am loathed to send it back to Germany as that's a minimum 2 week turnaround time....
Do u think samsung uk will replace it at their service centre if I take it there?
I am feeling so bad right now as I was really looking forward to this phone !!!

What do you mean by bleeding? Is it real blood. You can sue samsung for that.

It's a greenish colour that looks like it's seeping down onto the display from the top of the screen.
I think samsung will just replace the screen.

I think it's due to some heat or you got a used device. Anyways send it back and see if they can Chad change it for you

It could've been due to some pressure along the top as it sounds like the LCD is cracked. Happened to my sister laptop when her 3 year old decided that stomping on the closed screen was more fun than actually using it, it was stored in a cupboard but still within said 3 YO's reach, 'nuff said...

Lcd isn't cracked but could be pressure as packaging didn't have bubble wrap.
They have already shipped another one and I have 30 days to send this back....
Very efficient.
