Hey guys, so I'm having a strange problem with my WiFi network that I can't solve. So the other day, I changed the channel of my wireless router because I was getting signal issues on my computer. This caused all my devices to disconnect, however for Windows I could just re-add the network and it would connect fine.
For my One X, though, it detects the network, prompts me to enter a password, and when I tap connect, does nothing. I can even enter the wrong password. I've tried wiping the data on my phone, but this hasn't helped. I can try to forget the network, then connect again, but it does the same thing. It says the network is saved and in range, but won't connect at all. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hello everybody
Today I updated my QTEK8310 with WM6. Everything works fine,
also GPRS (MMS and Internet).
Unfortunately, I don't get WiFi to work. It detects the SSID, then I can press
"connect". But nothing happens: no connection; no error
I tried with with WPA protection and without. Both time no success.
My laptop can connect, so the issue must be related to the phone.
Any ideas?
Sounds ridiculous, but did you reboot your phone ?
Yes, of course. --> No success.
It's realy strange. The SSID is shown, the signal strength as well.
If I press connect, I see the WiFi icon changing: dotted-circle for about 1 second, and then the circle disappears again. That's it.
Have you tried with other Wireless AP ?
Unfortunately I only have one
The only thing I can tell you is that the phone detect other
SSIDs at my place. But of course I don't have any access key.
Is there anything I can check? Any log-file or configuration setting?
Thanks!
Ok, what router are you using, if your router supports wireless G only, you might need to adjust a setting so that your phone can connect to G network at B speed
Some router, although is backward compatible with B, but the option is turned off
@karhoe
Thanks! I had to enable the "b" mode! Now it works!
It's time to try out the IP-Phone stuff... but in the
Comm-Manager I cannot activate it. Maybe I should
open a new thread for that.
I've seen other people with this problem and now I'm experiencing it without knowing how to fix it.
My Sprint Touch Pro is old, as I have the tp2 now, but I would still like it to connect to the wifi and do stuff with it. When i try to connect to the network, I get a warning message saying:
Cannot connect to the network. Check your network and service provider settings and try again.

On the advanced tab under Wireless LAN, the status of the connection is: Associated to network. And there is no IP. I cannot renew IP.
It just simply won't connect. I have even tried a hard reset, to no avail.
Netgear router, wpa-psk tkip. And yes, i've tired making it an open network with no data encryption.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Wifi will not connect to multiple routers. It was working, then stopped yesterday. On the wireless network screen, it shows my network SSID and when i click on connect, wifi shows "connecting" and will sit there for hours doing nothing.
Removed all security from router and it still will not connect.
Rooted and flashed multiple 3.1 and 3.2 roms, will not connect.
Reset router multiple times.
Unrooted and went back to stock and still have same problem.
Tried setting static IP and DHCP, but neither work.
Tried airplane mode on, wifi off, airplane off, wifi on and that didn't work.
What makes this problem ever more weird is when I go to see the wifi MAC address, it shows an address of F5:3F:FE:03:00:00 I'm no computer genius, but I'm pretty certain that isn't even a correct MAC address and I definitely know it's not one registered to ASUS.
Anybody have any thoughts or ideas?
Just to add some more information:
If I setup the TF as a hotspot, I'm able to connect to it from both my phone and laptop. But still not able to connect to anything from the TF itself.
No help as far as why you cannot connect, but that looks like an OK MAC to me.

That's odd, because if I try to add that MAC in my router filter list, the router comes back and says it's not a valid address. Oh well.
I know it's not a hardware issue because I can connect my laptop to TF when TF is setup as a hotspot, but not the other way around.
I was rebooting my phone after changing sim cards and now I'm unable to connect to wifi. The phone scans but is unable to connect to any network at home or at the office that it previously connected to. I have tried rebooting, flashing different roms but the problem seems to persist. Strangely enough, I can set up my phone as hotspot using Open Garden WiFi Tether.
Can anyone help to fix this issue?
Turns out the problem has to do with the sim card. Found the solution here.

Just bought this Moto G Fast phone today, brand new, and I'm having issues connecting to Wi-Fi. Whenever I attempt to connect to a Xfinity Wi-Fi access point, it attempts to connect and tells me sign-in is required. I get to the screen where I enter in the username and password, but it then disconnects me from the access point, and takes me off the sign-in page before I can enter in the information. This happens in an endless loop. Never staying connected for more than a few seconds before it disconnects and reconnects.
I tried doing a factory reset multiple times.
I tried forgetting all wi-fi networks.
I have tried resetting the wi-fi, Bluetooth, and wireless network settings.
I tried doing a hardware Wi-Fi test, and get the green check mark.
I tried turning off my phone, waiting for thirty seconds, and turning back on my phone with the issue still existing.
I have tried resetting my phone multiple times.
I have removed my SIM card and reinserted it.
I can use my computer to connect to this Xfinity Wi-Fi access point, and then use my computer as Wi-Fi hotspot. My phone is then able to connect to my computer to access Wi-Fi to this Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot indirectly. It however cannot connect directly to it by itself.
I'm able to connect to other Wi-Fi access points without issues, it's just Xfinity Wi-Fi access point near my home that I can no longer connect to. My computer however is able to connect to this same exact Xfinity Wi-Fi access point without issue. The connection from my computer to the Xfinity Wi-Fi access point is stable, I'm able to watch YouTube videos etc on it. However for whatever reason, sitting at the SAME exact desk my computer is at with my phone, my phone isn't able to maintain a constant connection for more than a few seconds.
I don't have physical access to the router.
Thanks for any help! I have the feeling I should just return the phone, but I don't want to pay the $49 restock fee, and this seems to be a software issue, and not a hardware issue, so I'm not sure anything is wrong with the device from a hardware perspective.
