I am running windows 7, why is it that when i try to open nvflash.exe it opens for 1 second then closes? For some reason everytime i go into cwm, my g2x goes from splash screen to recovery and will never boot unless i completely reset it.. now that im trying to reset it, nvflash doesnt want to open. what should i do? ( i restarted my pc like 20 times )
Run it through command prompt, not by itself as a stand alone program.
If you don't know how to do that or what I'm talking about then I do suggest you either don't mod your phone, or ask/pay someone to do it for you... or do a lot of Google-ing.
Disable your anti-virus program and retry. Also, are you running nvflash as an administrator? Do you know how?

I recently got a 4g in replacement for free for my vibrant from tmobile, so I hacked it as soon as I could get the chance, I was running a GB rom and it wasn't running as smooth as I liked so I attempted to go back to stock via hemdall, couldn't get it to work since I never used it before, I tried reading the forum but I just couldn't figure it out, so I tried to odin, my phone freaked out and for about 30 minutes just was a black screen, I was able to get to recovery mode after l several attempts..I am now in recovery and only have to option to reboot, re install, delete all user data, delete all cache, I have tried every trick in the forum to get to download mode, everything I do just goes straight back to recovery, I tried to rename a stock rom to update.zip and flash that through the re install packages and it says signature verification failed..What the heck do I do to get my phone either to odin, and if I do what do I do after odin, I thought I knew but apparently not, secondly if I can get to odin what is my best bet on fixing it? Thanks all who shall help!
There are tons of threads in the Dev section about getting back to stock. With way... you need to get into download mode.

Go to www.android.com, download the software development kit (SDK), install it, only install the 'tools' when it prompts you for what to install.
Once that is done open a command prompt, cd to the "platform-tools" directory where the SDK installed, and issue this command:
adb reboot download

Already did, and just right back to recovery mode..
I'm sure you've tried this, but I have to ask - what happens when you use the options you have in recovery mode?

It just goes back to recovery..
When you tried using adb to reboot it into download mode, did your computer actually recognize the phone? If so, does ODIN see the phone when you plug it in?

yes and ODIN does as well, but it doesn't doing anything but say setting up connection.

Ok, so ODIN sees it. That's a plus I think. When ODIN sees the phone, what exactly does it show in the "Message" window in the bottom left?
I'm just wondering if it's able to actually flash anything. If it can, we can probably get you fixed.
setup connection
Hmm, I know you said you tried everything, but just to verify, have you removed the battery, held vol up & down, plugged in USB then put the battery back in while still holding the vol keys down?
What about the 1-click Heimdal method? I think that's listed in the dev section.

First, my G2X will run the lg screen for about 5 seconds then the screen just keeps flashing. Tried to master reboot and the screen wit the little android guy jumping out of the box appears but soon disappears to a blank screen. I've tried to NVFlash but it won't work. I'll hold down the power and volume down button but it just keeps looping over and over again at the lg screen and my computer won't recognize it at all. I done countless hours of research but I really need help. Maybe I'm just dumb or something but I just need help. I can't return to tmobile because the screen cracked like a week ago thus voiding my warranty.
I'm guessing that you tried to root your phone using oneclick? Try nvflash again! Make sure you install the apx drivers correctly. It should work. Did you try to root the phone or was it rooted already?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
I had it rooted and a buddy of mine was gonna install a custom rom on my phone for me and he just fake flashed it using cwm app and before i even realized what he was doing, BOOM he went to install the rom using the app and my phone won't get past the LG screen. The apx drivers won't install because my computer won't detect an apx device
Ahh I see. When you first rooted did you backup your rom? Can you boot into stock recovery? Hold power and volume down until you see the little guy with white box?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
Well I'll try and the Android guy comes up but after 5 seconds the screen blanks out and just
flashes

Try this, the apx drivers are there
Try flashing nvflash again. This phone can't be bricked so there is a way.

If the download.bat does not work it is about 90% that you have SBK2. Try it on a different computer and reset apx mode before you give up though. And make sure you are plugged into a highspeed 2.0 port.
how do i reset apx mode?

Hold the power button until the screen lights up (Not sure how bricked you are it might get to the asus logo or might just turn on the backlight) then hold power and volume up till your computer does a little beep-beep signaling that it has recognized the device
alright im on an ubuntu running computer now. i got the sbkcheck to run. it said my tablets running sbk v2. is this what i want? if so where do i go from here to get nv flash working?

No that is not what you want NVFlash only works on 1 but Rayman and them are geting close to unlocking SBK2 and asus should release an unlock tool soonish.
What exactly is wrong with your tablet? can you get into recovery or anything?
its in a recovery bootloop. wont cold boot. doesnt have an option to mount usb and adb doesnt recognize it in apx mode. ive gotten really desperate.

Hi,
I have the Asus Eeepad transformer TF101, I've had it less then a year now, and when I got it, it had been refurbished. Today I had tried to root it, and that's where it all went wrong. The root managed to go through fine, but once I rebooted it, it would not get past the first screen "the eeepad" screen. So I managed to get into recovery mode and undo the root and get it back to factory settings. I once again rebooted and it worked fine...until I went to install the most recent firmware update... the installation fails, again booted it and its stuck at the first screen again. Did another system restore, and tried to upgrade it once more, just in case it hit a glitch or something. Same thing happens, error in the middle of installation and freezes at the screen. Again tried to restore... and this time I wasn't even able to get into the mode to restore... I get the android guy with the loading bar, then the next second I get the android guy with the warning sign with an "!" in the middle of it.... It won't even let me clear the data, it just sits there with the speaker popping every 5 seconds or so. I could really use some help.

Remove all installed drivers(including Asus sync and any other Asus software) and then download and install naked driver(link is available in easy flash thread).. now plug your tablet and when it asks for driver install naked driver... if it doesn't then go to device manager on your laptop and install from there... once this is done, press power button and volume up buttons together for 5 secs and that will take your tablet into APX mode... plug the tablet back, your laptop will install APX drivers then go back to device manager and right click on the unknown device and update/install driver( same naked driver).. once you have installed required drivers its just a matter of running easy flasher...

My friend installed 3e recovery. He later installed CWM. He did a backup, wiped data, dalvic cache, and he also formatted /system. He forgot to plug in the SD card with the ROM zip file, and after rebooting he can no longer access recovery. It just sits on the Samsung screen. Using "adb reboot recovery" makes the phone reboot, but it's still stuck. I'm dont know much about adb, but it will not let us push any files onto the phone.
Edit: When we try going in recovery (holding vol+/- and power) Samsung logo keeps blinking on and off.
Your best bet would be to return to stock, install a custom kernel, copy the file over, and flash after wiping

Also ADB is having hard time seeing the device. I got it to list the device once. And one more thing, I have to got o work now, but I'll be back in 4-5 hours (around 10pm central time)
Thank you in advance.
