This is the first time I have flashed something. I made a backup right before flashing CM7 using ROM Manager. Every time I turn on my phone, it gets stuck on the boot screen, where there is the LG symbol with some colors in the back. When I flashed it, it went to the boot screen, and stuck there for over 15 minutes. I pulled the battery, and tried to turn it on, and it gets stuck on the same screen. I have tried over and over again, and I have searched the Internet for answers, but I am still stuck. I have tried holding Volume Down and Power, and it goes to a screen with an Android and a box, but nothing happens after that. Please help me, I am new to this stuff.

I did try that. As it turns out, I was unable to get my computer to recognize my phone because, while my USB cable could charge my phone, it could not connect to the the computer (my dog chewed it up). I tried a different cable and it worked. Thanks for the help anyway.
Seeing that box after volume down+power means u didn't flash cwm correctly. U won't be able to flash any new rom if u flashed cwm using rom manager

NVFlash is a must for you to use CWM. Follow the instructions to a T in the above links, and make sure to let the ROM sit after the flash.

And as for the original problem of why it got stuck in the bootloop, you probably didn't wipe everything.
I recently got a 4g in replacement for free for my vibrant from tmobile, so I hacked it as soon as I could get the chance, I was running a GB rom and it wasn't running as smooth as I liked so I attempted to go back to stock via hemdall, couldn't get it to work since I never used it before, I tried reading the forum but I just couldn't figure it out, so I tried to odin, my phone freaked out and for about 30 minutes just was a black screen, I was able to get to recovery mode after l several attempts..I am now in recovery and only have to option to reboot, re install, delete all user data, delete all cache, I have tried every trick in the forum to get to download mode, everything I do just goes straight back to recovery, I tried to rename a stock rom to update.zip and flash that through the re install packages and it says signature verification failed..What the heck do I do to get my phone either to odin, and if I do what do I do after odin, I thought I knew but apparently not, secondly if I can get to odin what is my best bet on fixing it? Thanks all who shall help!
There are tons of threads in the Dev section about getting back to stock. With way... you need to get into download mode.

Go to www.android.com, download the software development kit (SDK), install it, only install the 'tools' when it prompts you for what to install.
Once that is done open a command prompt, cd to the "platform-tools" directory where the SDK installed, and issue this command:
adb reboot download

Already did, and just right back to recovery mode..
I'm sure you've tried this, but I have to ask - what happens when you use the options you have in recovery mode?

It just goes back to recovery..
When you tried using adb to reboot it into download mode, did your computer actually recognize the phone? If so, does ODIN see the phone when you plug it in?

yes and ODIN does as well, but it doesn't doing anything but say setting up connection.

Ok, so ODIN sees it. That's a plus I think. When ODIN sees the phone, what exactly does it show in the "Message" window in the bottom left?
I'm just wondering if it's able to actually flash anything. If it can, we can probably get you fixed.
setup connection
Hmm, I know you said you tried everything, but just to verify, have you removed the battery, held vol up & down, plugged in USB then put the battery back in while still holding the vol keys down?
What about the 1-click Heimdal method? I think that's listed in the dev section.

I re-rooted on my mac using this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709
and then used the Rom Toolbox app to change the font as I have done many times. Now I am stuck on a bootloop and cant anywhere. I tried booting into recovery and installing a stock rom zip. Any ideas? really would like to get my phone working again!!
What worked for me was booting into recovery and wiping cache and factory reset.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
ahh tried that still sitting at the 4G LTE screen.
Did you try the factory reset option? Which I know will suck unless you have a nandroid.
Can you get into download mode, sounds like you'll have to Odin back to stock and flash the boot chains too.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I can get to download mode, yes but will have to wait to see if I can get a windows computer to use Odin. Ill try to factory reset again.

Sound like me when i bricked my phone, had to wait till I got to work to use a PC so I could use Odin. Hopefully Heimdall gets finished soon so us Mac users won't have to depend on Odin anymore.
please guys i need your help. My note ii wont load up
it can load into recovery
but i cant use odin or anything because the toolkit im using always waits for debugging mode to be on. I cant turn it on because i cant get the phone to turn on.
I tried using odin directly with no luck. it wont load the stock image on to the phone
The phone doesnt show up as connected to my computer but is recognized by the toolkit i am using
Please help, i just need to flash a stock rom back on this thing and be able to use it again. Its pissing me off because i literally just got it about 4 days ago for a substantial amount of money.
thanks for any help
found a way to get it to download mode to use odin but i am trying to flash a stock image to it and its just sitting here. not doing anything. it went throught the loading and everything in odin and started the flash, but it just sitting here now saying
write start
cashe.img
... now it is only saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue.
Boot into recovery and flash the firmware from there (put it on the external sd card)?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I would, i actually tried that and it still didnt work. Now i can no longer boot into recovery. Only to download. Just tried flashing with odin and it failed. ... any ideas?
What do you think happened to get the phone into this state?

So, I was attempting to flash Omega ROM, but the wifi wasn't working. Long story short I ended up in the wrong thread and the suggestion was to factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache/fix permissions, then format everything but the external SD card. Now all I get is the Galaxy Note 10.1 intro screen, and the "Download" mode when pressing the power and volume down key, which just keeps saying "Downloading, do not turn off target" (Advice I'm guessing I should've paid attention to) Please help me out guys! I really hope I didn't just make a $340 paper-weight :crying::crying::crying:
Update: Was able to get into recovery, should be fine, thanks guys!
You are fine... Just locate the back to stock Odin files... That should fix you up...

Also the device isn't recognized by my computer, and I can't get back into recovery mode. Really freaking out here!
Thought you said you could get into recovery?
Your computer shouldnt "detect" when its plugged in AND in download mode,
Odin SHOULD though - should say "COM 1" or something to that effect
Flash a stock rom on it through ODIN, you formatted everything and have no rom...
ODIN should be able to detect when in download mode, if not then re-install the samsung device drivers.... Don't leave it turned on too long or you won't have sufficient juice in your battery to flash.... I would suggest holding down power button for 10 seconds and shutting off completely, plugging in and waiting til you are certain you have more than 50% power...
