NOTE: THIS TOOL IS FOR DEVS AND POWER USERS. IF YOU ONLY WANT TO SIM UNLOCK THEN USE MY KAISER SIM UNLOCKER HERE
Note for Vista users
===============
This guide will explain how to change your drivers to the xp. You will have problems running the unlocker otherwise. Log in as administrator if you run the ROM update tool and unlocker. That also applies to XP users.
Instructions
============
0. Make sure there is a working SIM in the device.
1. Make sure you installed HardSPL as follows: power off and then press power on while keeping camera pressed, this will enter the so called bootloader mode and you see a tri-color screen (Red, Green, Blue). You should see "SPL-1.0 OliPof" or "SPL-1.1.JockyW" on the second line in the top left corner. You can exit this mode by means of a "soft reset": press the reset button with the stylus. Note that the security unlocker does not work with "SPL-3.28.Hard" and "SPL-3.29.Hard".
2. Make a note of the radio version that is currently installed. You see the version strings in the splash screen which appears soon after power on (e.g. "R 1.27.14.09"). Since we will flash a special radio in step 5 you need to flash back your original radio in the last step. You can download radio roms from XDA devs here.
3. Connect PC and Kaiser with a USB cable and keep it connected until the last step.
4. Power on the Kaiser and let it boot into Windows Mobile. On the PC make sure the activesync icon is green.
5. After you unpacked the download you see directories "step1" and "step2". Go into "step1" and run KaiserCustomRUU.exe. This will flash the special patched radio rom. Follow the instructions until it is finished. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the flash correctly finished. The device will restart automatically once the flashing is completed.
6. Power off and power on in tri-color bootloader mode.
7a. right-click activeync icon and uncheck "Allow USB connections" from Connection Settings
7b. On your PC go into the "step2" directory and run "kaiser-supercid.exe". If all went well you will see the text below
7c. right-click activeync icon and check "Allow USB connections" from Connection Settings
Text shown if all went well:
Code:
=== Kaiser SuperCID and Security Unlocker v0.2 (c)2008 by jockyw2001
=== Donations happily accepted, paypal to [email protected]
[] Done, your device should now be superCID and Security Unlocked
[] Your device is unlocked and you can change anything anytime ;)
[] Don't forget to flash your original radio
Press Enter to exit
If you see this:
Code:
=== Kaiser SuperCID and Security Unlocker v0.2 (c)2008 by jockyw2001
=== Donations happily accepted, paypal to [email protected]
Your CID = HTC__001
[] Failed! Please soft reset and try again
[] To soft reset press and hold camera button and then press reset with stylus
Press Enter to exit
then do a soft reset (press and hold the camera button first and then shortly press the reset button with the stylus) and run "kaiser-supercid.exe" again.
8. Download the original radio from here to the "step3" directory on your PC and flash it with KaiserCustomRUU.exe
That's all folks
Now you can look forward to another great tool which I will release soon: "Kaiser Radio Dumper"
Enjoy and ... donate to keep R&D going! Thx!

EDIT
HardSPL with AT Command Interpreter Support
This HardSPL is the perfect companion to your security unlocked Kaiser
None of the HTC SPLs for Kaiser (and other MSM7x00 models sich as Wings, Niki, Polaris etc.) support the AT command interpreter mode. I have patched the olipro HardSPL and added support for AT command mode.
To install it you must run the SSPL (e.g. this one here).
If it installed correctly you will see "SPL-1.1.JockyW" in the top left corner of the tri-color bootloader screen.
Use it as follows:
- enter bootloader (press and hold camera and then press power on)
- type "rtask 4"
- type "rtask 7"
- type "ATE" (turn on screen echo)
- type "ATV1" (verbosity 1)
- type "ATI" (information and IMEI)
- type "retuoR" (return to SPL interactive command mode)
- type "ResetDevice"
There are many interesting GSM AT command interface commands described in the Hermes Wiki.
================================================
Edit2: Kaiser Security Relocker
Some users with a security unlocked device would like to relock it again e.g. for warranty purposes. Unzip kaiser-relock.exe from the attached kaiser-relock.zip into the "step2" directory of the security unlocker (in the same directory there should be kaiser-supercid.exe). Carry out the same steps as for the security unlocker but in step 7b run kaiser-relock.exe
Have fun!

Good lord man. Do you ever rest? Way to go.
Edit:
Let me be the first to say, once I tried it, then booted to bootloader mode, directly on the top it said "Security unlocked".
Worked like a champ, as if there was ever any doubt. Way to go again bud.

What I'm wondering is, what is the difference with this and Pof's CID unlocker? What more does this do that Pof's unlocker didn't do?
Wow I am truly impressed!! If you have found a way to dump radios you will be the first ever to go public with that type of app. I know of one other radio.nb dumper that works and I sworn to keep the maker secret! Up until now there was also no free SIMunlocker so your saying you also have a free SIM unlocker? the Kaiser forum thanks you for you efforts in this!
Madness, the man who never sleeps.
Thanks, this is an excellent tool! Your a genius!
WOW.. jockyw simply speechless!!!!!!
Feller is in the zone....
ps worked without a glitch again in Vista (with Vista WMD driver). My simplified way (without downgrading to XP WMD drivers) is just by disabling automatic startup of activesync upon device connect.
is there any difference with this and pof's cid unlock?
i'm asking cuz i already did pof's cid unlock a while ago and i just did ur sim unlock a few mins ago.
will this do anything different?

Iam wondering too, what does SuperCID do anyway? can someone give us some explanation about SuperCID? Can we do this if we already did Pof's CID Unlock and Kaiser Sim Unlocker?
WOW that was fast jocky!
I am awaiting the explanation of super cid vs cid before I go for it..
nice, nice work. Unfortunately I need to also ask the question: what can superCID do that HardSPL hasn't done for us already? please don't flame b/c I really just don't know.

I could not find an answer to this question elsewhere really but I'm wondering the same thing. Could someone enlighten us?
Still curious..
^^Has same question as above 6 posts.
I think It lets you unlock your extended rom so you can modify it and or flash a different one.
^ correct ^
Hello,
I've used JumpSPL1.56-KAIS followed by flash-hardSPL to CID unlock my Tilt 8900 (I get the white screen with HardSPL).
My understanding is that I no longer need to CID unlock my device using the above procedure for future ROM's and Radios.
Is that correct?

if the hardspl flash was successful, then no, you should never have to flash it again to change roms. However, it seems as though your hardspl was not successful if you got the white screen. Go here to make sure.

I've read/used that thread because I was getting the white screen with HardSPL, but it sounds like you're telling me that if I can't get past the white screen when flashing HardSPL, then I have to use JumpSPL1.56-KAIS followed by flash-hardSPL every time I flash a new ROM or radio. Does that sound right?
Here's what my bootloader display shows currently:
KAIS1*0 MFG
SPL-1.0.OliPof
CPLD-8
Thanks

if that is what your bootloader shows, you should be good to go.
Is that because it says SPL? (regardless of what come after that).

Great, thanks! I won't run JumpSPL any more!
clever one
This a Very good question afgoody
Just remember that if you have to flash the original boot loader back that you'll need to use the same jumpSPL program again, not the program referenced in the thread about reverting back.
How to tell if HardSPL is already installed
I just purchased and unlocked a tilt and am now using it on Tmobile. I'm now realizing I need to flash my ROM to avoid spening more hours tweaking with work-arounds. I've gathered enough information on the process, but just want to find out if there's a way to find out if the HardSPL has already been installed by the previous owner. If not, then I will just reload. Just thought I might save a step. Cheers!
Power off your Tilt. Press and hold the camera button while you turn it back on. You will see a tri-color screen with some text. Look for SPL-1.0.OliPof.
If you see that line your Tilt has been unlocked. Anything else it isn't. Soft reset to exit the boot loader.
Hi, I’m flashing newbie. I need to get my ipl / spl version to know what is my hardware versions (G3 or G4) and unlock the CID. The goal is to change my radio rom.
I’ve found 2 methods to get it and no one work for me.
I have a red splash screen and I can’t see anything on my phone boot. (It’s a SFR VodafonePhone)
I’ve try the tool WizardServiceTool v4.2.2 but it not work (script problem…)
I Have Raphael device (diamond Touch Pro) RATH100, my SIM is unlock (I have call SFR, it’s free).
I’ve change my rom for the last Energy rom (Really good job!) but WizardServiceTool v4.2.2 not work too.
Any Help will be really appreciated.

Yes, follow this tutorial and you should be fine.
Thanks for you're response Bruce.
I will try it.

Thanks again Bruce, my splash screen is changed.
But I don’t see my IPL/SPL number just the RGD tab :
R 1.02.25.19
G 52.33.25.17H
D 5nergy ROM
I understood that the IPL / SPL numbers are displayed during the boot but maybe I'm wrong.
Someone can help me?

You have to go into bootlaoder mode to see the IPL/SPL, what displays during bootup is the Radio\ROM version.
To go into bootloader mode, you hit soft reset while holding Down Volume. A tricolored screen will appear and this should display 1.90 OLINEX.
Yes I’ve 1.90 OLINEX.
So, I just want be sure, it would like to say it’s G3 wizard and I need follow the G3 guide (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wizard Windows Mobile 6 for newbies) to unlock my CID and update my radio ROM (my SIM I early unlocked)?

What it does is that it will change your standard SPL (Red, blue, geen and white usb) logo to a RSPL or HSPL.
• RSPL loads on on ram only so upon switching off you lose it and it will return to the original SPL (OSPL).
• HSPL replaces your SPL into the ROM.
Blue = Optional steps or notes
Green = my comments
Purple = woo fun facts/news
Step Action
1. Power Off, then power on while holding volume down.
(Red, blue, geen and white usb) logo, have a quick look at the SPL to compare for Step 3 later.
2. Open the launch file with RSPL label, follow onscreen next and click next to Flash with RSPL (it will reboot your phone).
Note: I’ve got 3 options to select for the SPL versions, but they all revert back to the middle on so it doesn’t matter.
3. Once it is rebooted it will be in RSPL mode with the similar look to SPL, but you can see the numbers are different and labelled RSPL instead of SPL (shown on XDA).
Note: You can do an HSPL bit here if you like, just open the Install file instead of launch labelled HSPL, when its about to reboot hold down volume so you don’t have to manually power off and on again. You will notice it says HSPL now.
Extras: I’m using HSPL incase they patch the SPL bootloader in the near future. Nothing major really just stops the rom flashing software from upgrading.
4. Flash any Ansar or Release Roms from any country (I prefer Europe release as it has the latest radio version) without a signed_spl.ngb file.
Note: some firmware includes the spl into the rom, so you may want to edit it and remove that.
Extras: This part usually fails as it detects wrong vendor ID.
Attention: the DFS team has also released a Mango rom unlocked, but requires zune 4.8 to run and they modified the boot logo to DFS and changed the start page (annoying!), but its running smoothly… so far; I can’t use the caller ID display fix from advancedconfig tool (naturally that tool doesn’t work on mango either).
5. Bingo!
6. Optional - Install HTC connection setup xap and change your network provider to VF NZ so that you have the correct message centre details etc..

so, i have trophy spl version 1.22.2250 and i cant install the rspl, why?
its AT-A1 (mobilkom austria a1) branded.
This was extremely easy on my Spark.
Followed the instructions and within a minute or so I had HSPL.
Super work, thanks a lot!
Now let me try to get Mango on the device.

Sure.
First of all get DFT_XSPL_WP7FG2.rar from here.
Now get your phone into SPL Mode as described above.
Launch DFT_RSPL_WP7FG2_LAUNCH.exe select your SPL version and hit next.
After reboot, verify, that you are on Cotulla RSPL. Now you can launch the ROM Update utility. I used RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.10.401.04_Radio_5.52.09.16_ 22.33a.50.10U_by_ansar from here

Anyway, the required version isn't available in the list.

Apparently it does.. At least it did work for me. Because I'm now using an HTC_Europe Rom w/o any branding. And I got the additional htc Theme colour which was not available before - so definately a new ROM..
for those with problematics spl versions, i had 1.22 so it was impossible to make it
but i found a solution:
go to this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=924333
download and flash your correpondient version of the rom (it depends on the operator brand)
every rom on that topic has a inferior spl version so if you flash it, it will downgrade the spl version and you will be able to do the rspl/hspl process
regards
If there is a stock ROM available for you operator, that's the way to go. So for example the A1 users don't have luck if they have a bootloader higher than 1.20.xxxx
my phone is unlocked does not belong to any operator (buy it online, no carrier) which rom should I use?
please reply??

Don't exactly know what you mean, but you can flash any unbranded stock ROM without RSPL/HSPL. The only thing you need to find is the language of your choice.
For the official Mango update for unbranded Trophy look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265701
If you want to flash a cooked rom, you need RSPL/HSPL. Cooked ROMs for Trophy can be found in the Trophy Development section.
The choice of ROM is fully yours, what ROM suits your needs best?
BTW; please don't post the same question in multiple threads, and give the same bump of your question in those same threads.
Trophy with no USB connection on SPL
Hy,
I have a Trophy, and when I go in SPL mode, it doesn't appear anything in the lower side of the screen (serial or usb). Please HELP!
This is what appears:
PC40100 SS-BC (4K)
SPL-5.0.2250.1 (130781) MNG
MicroP (LED) 0x09
Touch A1 (v10,20)
SD SANDISK 7580Mb
Partition Info-v211v413

The Trophy has a Vodafone branding although I bought it from O2.
So the problem is that I cannot connect my Trophy trough USB for RSPL or HSPL further.
Thank you very much for any help!

I'm trying to roll back my HTC-HD7 back to the original WP7 and go do all the updates again as I'm getting loads of issues with a white box flashing on the lock screen among other things and wanted to reset my phone. (Already done hard reset dose not work)
now I have got: -
RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.19.206.01_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.30.50.09U_by_ansar
which yes is very old but when I try to do the update like I used to it gets to 1% then fails?
Have Microsoft change some thing in the boot loaders to stop phones getting re-flashed?
P.S I have tried to look for some thing on how to do this but there is allot of junk to look at on this site
You need a stock ROM ("by_anser" probably means it's customized). There's a list of them for the HD7 on the XDA-Devs Wiki (link at the top of the screen, go to the HD7 page and then to Shipped ROMs).
I have in the past reset the phone with this version and it updates with Zune so it is a stock ROM just when I use it now it gets to 1% and Fails?
but I have a look at some others?
Downloaded a differnt version?
But still getting the following issue?

5.xx ROMs change Device ID, which means you cannot go back to older [read: pre-5.xx] ROMs.
you have three options to downgrade:
1. jtag (a popular one is riffbox; google it)
2. goldcard method (multiple threads explaining this)
3. goldcard-style method (same as goldcard method, just without the goldcard)
