Hello,
I have a car radio (JVC KD-R821BT) which can etablish a bluetooth.
The connection itself is no problem, the phone finds the radio and is pairing without problem. Also phone cals seeme to work well.
The problem is that when I get a new text message (SMS) this should also be displayed on the radio. But it doesn't do it and also my phone is does no sound when it is paired with the radio and I get a SMS. Is there any configuration I missed? Can anyone help me solve my problem?
Thanks

I have a Parrot Minikit device which sets up voice dialing by receiving the contacts details via bluetooth. I'm using a WM6 rom from TNT on my KJAM, but can't see anything in the send option which would use bluetooth. Any help welcomed please, I've searched around but couldn't find anything useful.
Thanks
EDIT: Found it under the "beam" area. I thought this was only for IR, but the bluetooth device showed up after a few second. All done now.
Hi, guys. I'm having a problem with connecting to my Harman/Kardon GPS-810 portable navigation device. I had trouble prior to hacking my phone with WM6, but now when I attempt to connect, no audio is transmitted. At first, I thought it was just a problem with Nitro's bluetooth stack, but I've since replaced his ROM with Gnat's 6.1, and I'm having the same problem. The GPS-810, by the way, is based on Windows CE, so you wouldn't think there would be a problem. Has anyone else experienced something similar with a GPS device? My phone connects fine with my Motorola headset....
Daryl
Yes, I have the same problem with my Tornado/Gnat WM6.1. I can send files via bluetooth without any problem, but I can't receive anything! Others see my device name, but it fails to send something to my device.
Anyone has any suggestions?
Oh, this is a different problem ... I'm connecting my GPS to MY PHONE. It downloads my phonebook and call history, but when it connects with a call, it refuses to transmit any sound to its speaker. It worked with the old WM5 (it was flaky, though).
Daryl
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Daryl
just check Receive incoming beams in Settings->Connections
Thanks for the suggestion, but that did not work. I had figured that that was for infra-red connections, anyway. I had tried calling my voicemail, though, and after a brief moment, the audio was transferred to my GPS, but when I called another number, it didn't transfer at all, and this time, there was no audio in the phone, either. Strange.

Does ANYONE have a solution to my problem?

Hi if someone can help me it would be much appreciated. I just bought a Touch Pro and everything is working fine....except for one really annoying issue.
Whenever I connect my bluetooth to a headset, it shows connected but no sound is coming out. The sound is muted. when connected to my Audi, I see that the phone has bars (shows connected and I can dial the phone), but when I make a call no sound. Similarly on my SE HBH-DS970 headset. The A2DP works perfectly, but when I make a call nothing.....I've searched google and through XDA and no solution.
Can someone suggest a solution? I've soft/hard reset the device already. If I should change Radio ROM which one would someone suggest that's stable? Thanks
If no one else has this problem, can anyone at least suggest to me if this sounds like a Hardware or software issue? If hardware I will return it, but if software I will try to find a solution. Like I said the phone connects to BT, but I just can't get handsfree to work. File transfers and A2DP work. Thanks
Just flashed to UK ROM and still no help....I've read some people having the same problems over at the Diamond thread...I'm the only one answering my own thread here hahaha....if anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi,
I occasionally had such an issue with my Parrot CK3100, but I did not get the time yet to investigate further. After the call was connected I did not hear anything, and I am not sure whether the other party could hear me.
On another day, the handsfree was working perfectly OK.
Cheers
Michael
Thanks for replying Michael....I'm at a loss and I tried all the suggestions posted. I hope it's a software issue...I'm going to buy a bluetooth headset tomorrow and see if that works. It's not the end of the world, but annoying since all my ppc, s60, BB, and UIQ phones prior to the TP have not had any such issues.
Do you think it's a software issue?
have you tried playing music?
Yes.....A2DP works perfectly....no problems whatsoever with file transfers either....I'm guessing either it's a software problem or the phone has a new bluetooth software that's not agreeing with my older SE headset, but the car is another issue. The Car is 2007 and I'm sure the Bluetooth software is not that old. I've tried Euro WWE and Asian WWE ROM and no go.....I'm going to try the Cingular ROM and see what happens.
Just another quick update....I tried 2 other different bluetooth headsets and still the same problem... for some reason the sound for handsfree will not come through...anyone know of registry hack possibly that will allow sound to come through?
May not be entirely related to your problem...
Mine is worst...whenever I have paired my Jabra or iTech BT headset, when the phone rings, 8/10 times the phone will auto pickup (and no I did not setup the phone to auto pickup) and the it will NOT connect to the bluetooth. Instead it will be just like an auto pickup and the sound will come thru the phone headset. This is driving me nuts!!!!
Anyone have this problem or have an answer for me.
My Sensation connects automatically to my car handsfree system (Honda Accord) and mostly works fine.
The problem occurs when it disconnects and I`m away from the car. Whenever I make a call the loudspeaker turns on and I have to manually turn it off before taking or making the call.
Also, when somebody rings me the phone doesn`t ring, it just makes a quiet beep so I miss a lot of calls. the only way I can stop it is to restart the phone, I can`t find any settings to solve it.
Don`t know if its related but I have Carhome ultra and Vlingo installed but the problem occurs whether or not I run these programs, I only have to connect to the cars bluetooth system.
Nobody else have this problem? Or able to offer any clues as to why it might be happening
Hello,
since I've upgraded the ROM I am using now (Endymion) to the latest version (3.4) I have a strange problem.
I am opening a new thread because I am not pretty sure it is a ROM related issue (instead it could be a radio related problem, but this has never happened before, with the same radio I am using now). Kernel issue??
The problem is that if I activate the bluetooth and then connect my bluetooth headset, the call is like interrupted so I can't hear the voice of my interlocutor and vice versa for about 10-15 seconds. Then it goes as usual.
I've noticed this issue because I have a Tasker rule which activates the bluetooth if a certain person calls and if I am at home. But this happens even if I activate the bluetooth by hand.
Do you have an idea of what could the cause of this problem be?
I'm sorry, i can't really help you i just can tell you that i'm also on Endymion V3.4 and i often use a Bluetooth headset.
But everything works fine, i have no issues like you.
I often use Bluetooth headset too and the headset is working good for me, but it's the bluetooth activation that makes this problem happen.
Did you try to switch bluetooth ON during a call?
What radio do you use?
Yes i often switch on my Bluetooth headset during a call and I immediately hear the partner in my ear
I have never changed radio, because everything works fine for me (never change a running system).
The second reason is, that i can't flash radio, because I'm S-On. I used HTCDev in case of unlocking the bootloader.
I've actually not had a problem making or receving calls when using a Bluetooth head set.
However i have some time had problems listing to music on the headset when i'm out in public, however i think that might be the headset.
Would changing the radio change that?

Again, such sentence tells me I wasn't clear enough.
I've never had a problem making or receiving calls when using a Bluetooth headset too!.
Indeed, the problem occurs when, and only when I activate the bluetooth during a call.
