Manually Sync Saved password from PC (Honeycomb) - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi, I've posted in 7.7 but there's no response, perhaps because it requires certain level of hacking, so i'm putting it here :
There's one problem with honeycomb's stock browser,
the browser sync for saved password doesn't work,
This page confirms that there's a bug with honeycomb's browser sync :
hxxp://code.google.cxm/p/android/issues/detail?id=18937
I mainly use tab for browsing so it's a big problem for me because i have hundreds of passwords on my PC (Chrome/Firefox) and i can't remember them all..
Firefox for Android is not an option because i prefer using the stock browser, i've tried FF and it's just terribly slow
So Is there anyway to manually sync the saved passwords from your PC (Chrome) to 7.7? Perhaps by copying csv / xml file to certain folders?
On my phone (n900)
I was able to do this by replacing these 2 files on N900's browser directory:
signons.sqlite & key3.db
Gotten from my PC's firefox profiles..
So is it possible to do the same with rooted honeycomb?

Anyone?
Perhaps by editing the database?

The 2 ways that i have done this so far are either use opera browser for everything and use the sync on that (works ok actually) or use Dolphin browser and the dolphin bookmarks to sd app to sync from gmail account (not automatic).
You would of thought with it been Android and Google they would of made it like the Google Chrome browser so that everything is synced with your account.
In your favourites of IE on your PC, make a new folder named as "HTC bookmarks"
Add in the sites you want to bookmark in this folder.. sync using HTC sync.. it will automatically put all on the phone and add from the phone to the IE..

Chrome bookmarks sync?

Hello, for those devices that are running Gingerbread or prior, are there any methods which allow me to sync the bookmarks from my PC chrome browser or phones that have chrome with the device that doesn't have chrome? In other word, are there any way which allows me to sync my chrome broswer bookmarks with a non-chrome browser (e.g. stock gingerbread browser?). I've been searching for a while and I found some something like Chrome Sync Pro or CMarks but they do nothing I want. Thanks.
export and import manual:laugh:
I searched for it and i found 2 solutions:
1) install a fake version of Chrome created for gingerbred that should have the autosync. The problem is it is difficult to find the apk. I downloaded a version of this (I don't know if it was the right one) but the sync wasn't there.
2) install Dolphin on the phone and an extension for chrome on the pc. I tried that too but I can say that it doesn't work very good because after synchronizing the first time it does not synchronize anymore.
Someone has a better solution?
P.s. In Dolphin mini should be there the same sync but it doesn't work at all
import and export manually...is simple

How to transfer opera mini bookmarks from one android phone to another?

As the thread title says, does anyone know "How to transfer opera mini bookmarks from one android phone to another?"
Recently I've changed my android phone and I stick to my opera mini 7.6(.40234) browser and now I want to move opera mini bookmarks from the old phone to the new one. I've searched the internet and one of the ideas was to copy the files within the "/data/data/com.opera.mini.android/files/" from the old phone to the new one but it wasn't any good.
Does anyone now how to solve the bookmarks transfer?
quick idea: you should able to use "opera link" to sync all bookmark across your device.

Thank you baudbox, I've tried this one and I have the following situation.
Although I'm using Firefox on my desktop PC, I've installed Opera browser for PC just for this sole purpose. To see how it works, for a test, I've logged in the new phone using opera link and my desktop using Opera browser (no bookmarks by default). The result was the only bookmark it was saved on the new phone was deleted. It seems that the phone's bookmarks were sync to the PC's, meaning the only phone bookmark being erased. I didn't see any way of choosing what to sync according to a selected device.
I don't know how opera link works but I supposed the phone bookmarks were supposed to get copied to PC and then connect the other phone and sync it with PC's bookmarks, using the desktop PC as a "middleman". I'm afraid that if I try to sync the old phone using opera link will erase all the bookmarks in it.
I don't see any feature from operalink screenshoot where you can choose a pull or push to opera servers. So guessing you can't
If you haven't already checked it, take a look at
http://www.opera.com/help/tutorials/link/
May be you will find some explanations
Thank you very much baudbox! :good:
