I'd like to get back to the original splash screen for my HTC Sensation. I searched the forums, and found several threads detailing how to replace/edit the original images. I just want the original boot image back. Can anyone provide this?
It's in the Splash Screen's thread. It's buried in the middle somewhere, but you will find it in there.

does anyone know if this is normal after I flashed my tilt with AT&T Test ROM, the first boot screen changed to "For Test Only, Not For Sale...." but when I flashed the device back to an earlier HTC ROM, the Test Only screen is still there.

Problems
I noticed that you started two threads for issues that are clearly covered in the Sticky with GWENI.
Both problems can be resolved fairly quickly with a trip down to the ONLY STICKY in this subforum.

Both the downgrade issue and the keyboard issues have been discussed many times.

I guess I was more looking to find the root cause...which I think I found....it's ROM specific, then I flashed the tilt to the Test rom, the splash screen came up, when I flashed it back to original ROM, it didn't go away but when I flashed it with TNT rom, it changed to the TNT splash screen.
like I said in my earlier post about the other issuewith the keyboard, I tried the fix but it didn't work and I couldn't find the answer (didn't know that it could be ROM specific that the keyboard fix works with some roms it doesn't with others)...not sure why you are you yelling by using caps, i would recommend not replying at all instead of being angry.
The root cause is, not all ROMs contain splash screens. Therefore, the last splash screen you flashed is left on your device.
If you have additional questions, please post them in the ROM splash screen flashing thread. This thread is redundant and is now closed.
I recently went from Hyperdragon III series to another ROm and all is well except the first splash/boot screen which still says Hyperdragon.
Is there a complete package (ie "flasher" and default boot screen in one) that I can download somewhere?
I tried searching the forums but all I find are custom ones. I just want to go back to the old HTC one.

Hi all,
I am quite new to android, I got my Magic few days ago.
I did tried to root the machine and found the wifi can't start.
Then i found a recovery program and tried to use that to restore my machine.
That was successful but found that is Taiwan ChungWah ROM with "Hami" boot logo with it.
So I flash it again to HK official rom BUT the "Hami" boot logo is still there, can anyone please help me with this problem? I just want to restore my magic to HK official status...
Also does anyone knows what is the SPL version of HK ROM? Can I flash it back to official SPL after flashing the ROM?
Thanks!
Check your motherboard.
This is essential to further your progress in rooting your device.
Turn off your device.
Now, power it on while holding the POWER KEY + VOLUME DOWN - this will load the information directly from your phone for display.
Write down what you see.
Then seek out assistance based on your motherboard version.
Good luck.
I want to replace boot logo as well , how can I ?
Hello, is there anyway can replace Taiwan Magic's Hami boot logo ? I try the fastboot flash method and it does not work. Is there anyone know how to replace ? thanks

I need to flash SPL to be able to change the boot logo

hey guys.
I haven't seen any mention as to how to change the splash screen. i've searched in these forums. i've searched in google. not only have I not found instructions and many custom splash screens (as I'm used to on the Evo and my WinMo phones from back in the day) but I haven't even found another thread in any other forum asking this same question?!?!
can anyone please shed some light on why we haven't changed the splash screen, and perhaps also why nobody seems to be asking this question i'm asking now?
Ok what's a splash screen?
We've got boot animations, lockscreens and wallpapers. I've never heard of splash screens on an android device.
splash screens are the first screen you see before the boot animation plays. in the Xoom that is the red M motorola logo.
on the Evo it's the HTC logo. that's always been changeable. i believe in the evo it was fastboot flash splash splashfile.rgb565. i've got many many custom ones made
First off this is a question. So guess where it should be posted?
But to answer you question, we can not write to the partition that houses the logo.img that is used for the "red m" logo you speak of.
already had a talk with one of the Tiamat team members and they explained the exact state of things...too bad it was after hours of online research and searching through the github on the incorrect suggestion that on honeycomb tablets the splash was hardcoded into the kernel.
at this point the Tiamat guys have been able to decrypt the image and create their own, but can't write to the logo partition like you said.
why did they move away from the simple splash1 rgb565 partition used in froyo?
Q moved to Q&A, since it was already answered. Thread closed.
I have looked for a considerable amount of time and still cant get this down, I changed roms to a Sense rom, and it changed my splash screen, which was fine but now I went back to cyannogen, with a full wipe and the splash screen didnt revert to the original sensation one, I would like it to go back, any ideas on where I could get the file and how to flash it exactly would be great, I am very noobish with this stuff so any kindness would be greatly appreciated, I am not saying this hasnt been covered, Im just saying that I in my efforts have been unable to find the information, please and Thank you.
In post 6 there are instructions on how to flash a Splashscreen.
There is also a link in the post on how to make a Splashscreen.
I am sorry but I do not have the stock Splashscreen

There is one roaming in one of these threads somewhere.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Coredroid V5.1

Hi,
Check HERE
If you want the stock htc splash then you can download this:
http://db.tt/3FSojp5f
You can run a script from terminal to flash any created splash:
Code:
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/[COLOR="Red"]your splash file[/COLOR] of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p14
Change the "your splash file" to whatever you've named your splash, and make sure you type everything correctly. If you mistype the block you stand a chance of writing to the wrong partition, which would be very bad.
