have you bought modern combat 3 for any other device you own. it has to be linked to your market account for it to save

I bought it for my DHD.
But yesterday i played for a while and in this way i got 100 XP which are saved. After a few minutes i played again and i now i dont get any XP...

It requires a cracked .apk. Discussion about this has already resulted in two threads being closed. I'd tread lightly. As it is a violation of XDA's ToS.

Two other threads got closed due to similar discussion. And one of them in big bold lettering said to make sure you bought the app prior to attempting to used cracked .apks.
Cracked or not it's considered warez.

If you search the threads I believe there are a couple posts with pics of torn apart GTabs. I think it only took a couple days after the first 1000 produced before the innards were posted, maybe not even that long.

FYI Gameloft Rip-Off potential

Hey you know all those free and 99 cent apps that Gameloft had during Thanksgiving? Make sure you back up those apks before flashing your phone. I flashed mine back to stock tonight and when I went to the Gameloft site, they had no record of me purchasing anything. Fortunately I remembered I had backed them up previously. My paranoia paid off!
How does that make gameloft a rip-off? The same thing would happen with there full price apps create an account with gameloft if you want them to remember your games
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
And I did that first - before I ever downloaded anything to begin with.
Fortunately, I have my receipts from Paypal for the 3 games I bought. Opened a case with Gameloft, just to make sure my account gets fixed.
I'm pretty sure that flashing a new firmware to your phone can cause the website to think it is a completely different phone. I had setup an account and this happened to me.
I just emailed them with the list of games that I had downloaded and they sent me on the APKs. No hassle at all. Some of the best customer service that I have had. I had bought 2 games and gotten 1 in a free offer. So I had 2 paypal receipts and they still emailed me on the 3 apk files.
Pretty misleading title since you hadn't actually dealt with them to get the APKs back.
Sorry, I didn't mean to be misleading, that's why I said POTENTIAL for a rip-off. I didn't say it -was- a rip-off. But when they ask for your phone number and account login info and you give it and it comes back and says you haven't purchased anything, that's very suspicious. I just wanted to give everyone the heads-up to make sure to back their apks up if they are going to wipe and reinstall.
However, as you stated, I emailed them, and they sent me the links to download the APKs. Great! Glad they did - but isn't it interesting I didn't have any trouble getting my EA games back? Just sayin'.
Hey, don't flame me, man! I'm OLD! But I mean well!
Sorry, Gameloft! You are NOT a rip-off!
Wish gameloft just used the market because its really annoying having to go to their website.
Gameloft ain't rip offs. In fact they are the best. The problem with order & chaos recently. I sent them an email and gave me the update within the next day, then when I told them the play controls weren't working and could only play it with touch screen they are now giving me 95 runes for the trouble and letting me keep the game. 95 runes is equivalent to £15 as you have to pay to get runes. Now I say that don't sound like rip offs to me. Who looks a fool now ?

Right it looks at the device too. When you buy a game it give you the one for that specific device. Also it knows what games work and don't for each device. Hence why with some devices there are only 21 games or the play has 42 games fir example. So when you go into it on a different fw or Rom it knows that q change has been made and for fraud purposes they have to do that. If you think. I have 4 SE devices. The play, Arc S, X10i and the Ray. Now I bought games for the x10 and when I went onto it on my Arc S it didn't show the games. But.... It does say on there site on the downloads page. Games that you bought for this DEVICE. So why does that make them a potential to be rip offs. I think you need to stop wasting server space and also post in the right section. I.E. The general or Q&A section. Think before making threads like this. If you read it properly on there website it does say what you bought for that device and when changing fw they know. Or everyone could just use my fw and dl my games that I paid for. They need to do that as like I said it is to prevent fraud.

aahahaha. Your the one who is being rude and attacking. I didn't call you names I was just saying. Also this thread is not about apps its about a company so yes it should not be in this thread. Also I am reporting you for being rude and disrespectful by telling me to bite you. Oh and calling me names. Which is not allowed at xda. At the end of the day you are going on about a company being rip offs and running your mouth before you even think. If you had just checked and emailed gameloft they would of sorted it out. But instead you decided to come here and start accusing and saying gameloft are or could be rip offs. So..... I would just think before you start saying things again and also before you start flaming other members as well. I was just explaining how they work on their website and was just saying this thread is in the wrong section. No where in this thread is there anything about an app but instead a company. So this means its in the wrong thread. Really..... you need to slow down and think.

P.S. and you said you didn't flash anything.

So why were any of your comments necessary at ALL, since I had already said what Gameloft did to correct my impression AND say "Sorry Gameloft, you are -not- a ripoff." It's not like I could kill the whole thread at that point. Did you really think your post(s) added anything productive or useful?
Furthermore, Gameloft sells APPS, the APPS in question were previously mentioned in other threads IN THIS SECTION, which was why it made sense to me to post my warning about a POTENTIAL issue with those same apps. Everyone knows that almost nobody ever reads the General or Questions section, because that's where the n00bs ask things like "I just bought an Xperia Play. What should I do now?"
Finally - I concede that the "bite me" and "twit" comments were unnecessary, and I apologize for making them. However, your entire POSTS were unnecessary as well.
And here's me thinking that this thread was put to bed after about four posts.
Tbh Blackwatch, it looks to me like you goaded net into a response. It was all pretty civil till you showed up.

And I wasn't the one who was uncivil at all. I guess you didn't read the whole thread. I wasn't the one flaming and throwing a tantrum. In fact all I said was that this is in the wrong thread and my views on him saying gameloft are or have potential to rip you off. Everyone here is allowed to have there say and say there views but no one is allowed to flame and curse or swear in that matter as bite me is an American swear word. So..... I think you are again another one who needs to stop picking sides and stay the hell out of our little argument. Where does it say everyone join this argument. Leave it to me and him to sort out and everyone else stay the hell out of our argument. I didn't start an argument at in fact he did by cursing and flaming. Modern Combat 3 help

i have recently rooted my tf101 and I really want mc3 but I have no idea how. Some1 please help.
You need to change your build.prop to a different device
/system/build.prop
instructions please
Since you have root access, you need to you a file manager that uses it like Root Explorer. Be sure to select Mount R/O on the top of the Root Explorer. Now you can edit your files. Navigate to /system/build.prop and find:
ro.product.model=EPAD
ro.product.brand=asus
change it to:
ro.product.model=A500
ro.product.brand=acer
save it and Modern Combat should work for you
i change it, but it still doesnt show up in the market
This application was not designed to run on our devices. stupid ass GameLoft designed it that way. It's a serious kick in the pants, but it is what it is.
Did you reboot after resetting the build.prop?
you'll need to tread lightly, talking about installing non intended game, or cracked games is considered warez.
yea i rebooted and still nothing

Really? Installing a game you still have to pay for but simply have to edit your build.prop to access on the market is really considered warez here? Hmmm.. i figured as long as you paid for it and procured it legally it wouldn't matter... what about if i download an app to my phone and use titanium backup to save and then restore that file on another device that I also own, just because of market incompatibility? That would seem to be almost the same thing.. and having hacked hotspots is definitely something we shouldn't be discussing or distributing if the former is considered warez? I have seen this discussed openly with no one warning of this. Just wondering not trying to be argumentative fyi.
i dont mind paying for the game, I have read other discussions about changing build props, and i just wanted to do it and get the game. Im in college and all i need is a game to get me through the day between classe, and being a COD fan, this game would help.

Because this typically leads to "can someone post a link to game x?" or "where can I find a modded apk?" which is definitely warez. What you talking about is fine but almost every thread discussing games seems to lead too it and a mod shuts the thread down so people have become eager to make sure the discussion doesn't stray into these areas. There is a thread in Apps and Themes that discusses Gameloft games in particular and which ones work and which ones don't.

That is what I was assuming, that he was saying it could 'lead' to posting or asking for warez. So to clear this up;
If you love android, you should hate warez pirates. Especially here on XDA developers..since pirating is the best way to demoralize developers and keep them from developing for Android market, and the Market is the heart and soul of Android, without it the device itself and OS is not fulfilling it's potential. So, love android- don't pirate or you are killing what you love.
But that is why I was confused because I don't see changing your device ID to access other apps that are in theory compatible but not listed as compatible in the market as anything close to even bending the rules..sounds pretty legit to me IMO. So, thanks for clearing that up for me

Ok so now that i FINALLY got mc3 working lol, how would i go about getting my Xbox 360 wired controller to work with it? I have the transformer dock and i have used it with other games, but what's the trick to getting it to work for mc3?
How did you get it to work? I just purchased it for my Droid 2 Global and am currently downloading it to my phone. I backed up the apk and installed it to my TF101 but it will not download the additional data. What steps did you take to make this work? Thanks in advance.
I also got my PS3 controller working by just plugging it in, turning on my bluetooth, then unplugging the cable. It paired automatically. IDK if MC3 supports a controller but shadow gunner does.

[Q] Chaos Rings Install help....

.
I just bought a game called Chaos Rings for the Infinity TF700. I can not get it to run tho. I know that it will not run on a rooted device, but I also know that there is a work around to make it run on rooted device. All the people I have talked to say that if you install superSU or Super User it will run even if you are rooted. You must do a bit more tho also. Here is what the info file says to do. ( yes this is from a torrent site / but I did pay for the game and Square will not refund my money.
The game is labeled as: Chaos Rings 1.0 Root + Offline fix
1. Copy the extracted com.square_enix.chaosrings.googleplay folder to Android/obb of your device.
2. Install the CHAOS_RINGS_v1.0.0m.apk
Note : If you don't have superuser from the market installed it crashes. Even if your not rooted the superuser is needed for this file.
====================
When I try this I get a screen that says: The Check of a file and download of data are required "OK" ? So I click on "OK" then it says "File Under Download.....0% " and it just sits there forever.
Any one have any luck with this game. Square is no help at all
Thanks for any info
.
They removed the block for rooted devices.It should work even if you are rooted.
Looks like you are trying to run a warez version of the game? You are clearly missing the correct obb files.
I have the full version and it works fine. Just reinstall the latest version and obb files.
Hi guys! I have a rooted device (just rooted 2 days ago successfully) and have the ware version. I try both versions v 1.0.0 and v 1.2.5 . I copy-paste to obb folder after installing. I made a question and you gave a wrong answer that would be waste of money, but i am sure that advising wrong to people here (especially when you don't know the answer) is not also your problem, as soon as your post count raises . You did not say it is not allowed to ask (that would be a right answer, second best after the "you can't play on lollipop"), you gave both an irrelevant and wrong/bad answer. That is a fact! Of course I would not pay for a game that I don't know if it works on my phone, that's why I tested it!
When people are wrong, they ask sorry, they don't give a second childish answer.
In the end of the day, you answered something different than what I asked and not only you gave two immature (as you don't know what I "can" buy) and irrelevant answers, but also a bad advise and as I could still not play the retail version, a bad/wrong answer!

It is not because it is not compatible hardware-wise -- I have it running on my 700, and while there's some lag on starting the game, it runs beautifully once in-game.
The only 100% legal option you have is pay for it and subsequently download it while on a supported device, rip the apk out with, for example, Total Commander or Titanium Backup, and transplant it to your 700.
Humbug.
Thanks though
and just looked at a game I often played on the ipad3 and it's also not available.

That's like complaining a Windows game doesn't work on a Mac. You're asking for a game on a totally different operating system. Every scrap of logical reasoning could've told you that it might not work beforehand.

The main reason is that you, OP, actually phrased it like you were upset that your favorite game from another OS was not available on the 700, not that it was available for Android in general, but not for the 700 in particular. :silly:

Your thread started out regarding PvZ specifically (it's even in the title!). You can't take a crap down somebody's back because you phrase things clumsily. My advice (which I myself mostly follow): take your time posting something, and think over your phrasing. I try not go get personal, although I admit I'm only human and therefore can take only so much before I explode.
A correre e cagare ci si immerda i garretti. Freely translated: running and taking a crap at the same time will foul your heels. Ancient Italian (probably of Sumerian origins), but very applicable to many of life's situations, like forum posting, sex, cooking, chemistry (which is my educational background) and military operations (of which I have had a taste as well). I should have this tattooed somewhere. (That would be a first, by the way.)

Agreed. Don't forget your hypertension meds, love.
Can it work?
If everybody is done criticizing each other over how they've worded their posts, can we get back to the topic?
Is there a way to make this game work on a 1920x1080 Android device? There are more and more of them coming out...such as the S4 and HTC One. There must be a way to scale the display...?
Does anybody have a solution?

There was an android humble bundle a while back that had plants vs zombies as part of the bundle. It runs well, scales nicely, and as previously mentioned it lags a little during cut scenes.
