I am currently too busy to edit the post. May I update all the information asap.

I have a Class 4 8GB and whenever I install this Zombie game on there that makes you dl files to your SD card it disappears..

Vibrating feedback randomly stops/starts.
Yes, I'm new...give it time!

I'm with At&T in the Tenn/Ky region... I've been experiencing random radio failure. Running stock firmare, rooted. Every 2-4 hours I loose 4G Data, Voice, etc. signal and after a minute or so, it goes into Emergency Call Only Mode for another moment, then finally my 4G Data, etc. are fully restored. Odd. Don't know if its an At&T service issue, which is doubtfull because I'm within range of 4+ towers. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Have this same issue. I also have an issue of apps not installed to SD card randomly get uninstalled

Oh I thought apps not installed to SD (those installed in internal memory) will have no problems staying installed?

That's probably the one thing that really annoys me about the Atrix 2, when the vibrating feedback just decides to stop all of a sudden!

So I'm not the only one...
It even continues to do so after a factory reset.

You're not alone, that's a common issue. I've been reported the exact issue happening in Turkey where there're no 4g towers and such. This is related to atrix radio rom and motorola should immediately release a fix for this.

Most annoying issue: type in a terminal and 'i' becomes 'I' automatically. Doesn't matter whether using the swype or regular keyboard.
But if I use swype to create the word, it doesn't do the capitalization of 'i'....strange!

I think I found one the first one is plugging in a corded hands free set & then opening the dialer and it keeps cycling the call immediately hangs up the call and start the call again. it stops if you pull out the hands free set.

Now the market simply won't load...
This phone is full of awesome!
I cleared all the data and uninstalled all updates. It worked for about 5 seconds...the force closed. Tried opening it a few more times and it would just open/close immediately. Now it's telling me that, "This application is not installed on your phone."
I want to like this phone. It has a lot of potential, but the bugs (and seemingly lack of support) are getting to be too much.

I think this seems to be a hardware problem... vibrate motor sticking maybe? I slap the phone and it comes right back... idk.

This is happen to me after i did factory reset.
And this is the most annoying issue that i have.
Wish the devs has the way out to solve this problem.

So apparently the vibration randomly stopping has to do with the motor getting stuck.
Pretty lame that you gotta hit the phone to get it to work right...

For apps disappearing please tell us if you are using 3rd party launcher such as go launcher, launcher pro, adw ex, etc.
For the people with class 10 sd card its a hit or miss. Motorolla forgot to mention which class works for our phone correctly.
For losing signal it happens maybe its the phone problem if you just look at the phone but it maybe the cell tower problem for not upgrading its cell tower to work with new phones properly.
I have a problem with my old blue tooth and only solution is to get a new one lmao.
For the headset problem I am using EH-50 from motorolla and i haven't experienced any problem.

Strange
Hello everybody,
I read a lot concerning bugs within the Atrix 2.
There really seem to be a big difference between the MB and the ME version especially concerning being branded by phone carriers.
Yesterday I bought the ME865 in Hong Kong, loaded with Android 2.3.6 and the
55.90.2 system version/firmware.
I could not reproduce any of those bugs. Especially concerning the SD card trouble, I don't have any of those problems. All apps on Card run fine. No crashes or lost files etc.
The only thing that is not working is the video function on skype. I found no solution for it yet. Its a hacked .apk since I cannot see Skype on the market. I saw there was already a threat about it.
P.S.
Good to be here

Atrixed2 - I had apps dissappear when using Go Launcher. After several factory resets, I'm now using ONLY motor-sucks-launcher and guess what? ...apps still disappear. It is so random, and sometimes takes several days, but is still happening, and driving me madd.

Give it a week or two then post back here again if still no problems running apps on the SD card. I was happy as a blue-jay for a while after each factory reset. The only reason I haven't had to reset again, is that I no longer run ANY apps on the SD card, and have given up on a few other things we SHOULD be able to do as well.

If your phone has reboot issues please help out

For those of you who are experiencing the random reboot issue on the stock rom, would anyone be willing to do a factory reset without installing any apps and testing for a while to see if they still have the reboot?
I want to find out if this issue is a problem related to specific g2x's, or is triggered by some kind of software installed.
The reason why I want to test this out is because I have gone through 6 phones(waiting for 7th), and I can not recreate this problem on any of them running the same restored nandroid backup.
Also, for those of you who have gone through multiple g2x's, have you had phones with reboots and also ones without the issue
Since it seems LG is not recognizing this as a known issue, it most likely won't be fixed in the update they announced. Therefore its up tous to try find the cause of this issue whether it is device specific or due to certain apps installed.

I thougjt I clarified in my original post that none of mine had the reboot issue and I was not able to recreate it either.

If it a software related issue, it couldn't be the ROM since some people have this issue on other roms. It could be the kernel but all g2x's come with the same kernel out of the box IIRC and only some people are having the issue.
EDIT: wow I'm really inaccurate typing in portrait mode

I never had a reboot issue in Arizona and I just got back to Ohio today and i have randomly rebooted 4 times today and I had to do a battery pull this morning... crack that nut for me
I went through 2 G2x's.
First one stock, rooted, and CM7 - all ways would reboot.
Second one, stock, rooted and CM7, all ways would reboot, so I tried it stock and CM7 without any added on apps - same results both stock and CM7.

It seems that people who are getting reboots, are getting reboots across multiple g2x's, while people who aren't getting reboots, don't have the issue across multiple g2x's. So there must be some kind of installed software related thing that is not playing nice and causing the phone to reboot itself. There isn't enough info in order to make a definite diagnosis to the source of the problem yet which is why I made this topic.
I feel that it's definitely software b/c I've been running the leak without any reboot issues. They still need to also fix the kernel too

what is confusing me is if it is software, why is it only affecting some people? the leak is running a different kernel so that could possibly be why you aren't getting reboots, but something must be triggering it that the people who have the issue have down/installed etc.

Orrrrr...perhaps it related to the network somehow? Strength of signal or need for the phone to switch between 4G/2G? Or perhaps trying to go to the ever elusive 3g (since I still haven't seen a report of someone actually seeing 3g in the notification bar). Maybe folks with reboots are in fringe areas and the phone oscillates between 4g and 2g and doesn't like it? Maybe those folks use their phones differently...leave BT on all the time and run apps that access GPS regularly. Or any other number of possibilities.
It's too easy to blame an app.
I know that one of the barcode scanning apps caused my phone to lock up, and sometimes reboot.

Thats why I'm asking people to participate in this experiment. By eliminating variables one by one we can try to single out the cause.
EDIT: also, the 4g signal shows for both 4g and 3g. The only way u can tell which one you are on is by going to "about phone". UTMS is 3g then there hspa(+).

Mine actually rebooted randomly very often. It didn't matter what rom I had (Stock, Eagle, CM7). I tried everything.... factory resets, removed apps, etc. It's just very random when it decides to reboot. Sometimes when I'm using google maps, sometimes when I'm trying to text, or when I'm playing with an app. It got so annoying that I had to return the phone.
I noticed that the times my G2x has rebooted was when it got hot. For example, if I charge it, talk and surf at the same time it will start getting hot and either freeze or reboot. Sometimes just charging it will freeze it.
I'm trying out a new battery and so far the phone seems to run cooler...its 25.2c right now and I've been playing with the phone for a while...with the stock battery I dont remember the temperature below 27c ever...sometimes with heavy use I would see it go as high as 43c...
it's only been one day with the new battery but I'll let you guys know how it behaves the next few days.

Well android leaves apps open. There is no exit button on the apps that kills it. I religiously kill tasks and check to see what's running. Is there any type of reporting app that will tell you what was running at the time of the reboot like maemo/N900 has?
As far as I know, I have not had one reboot. Has not been a full week though. If it was rebooting in the night, I guess I wouldn't know it.
Hell, I haven't had any real probs. My Gps was way off, but I rebooted it outside and it's been dead on since.
I love my G2X.
I just got an exchanged phone due to reboot/shutdown issues. I did not install any 3rd party software, and i had a shutdown that required a battery pull while it was on the factory charger.
Not sure if I should keep exchanging until I get one that works or not...

[Q] Sensation crashing constantly

I have a HTC sensation (non branded european version) for about 5 months now, and lately its been crashing constantly, it just goes black and is completely turned off.
Most of the time this happens when its in my pocket.
I'm running the original rom, its not rooted, and i did a factory reset last week.
The problem was gone for a couple of days, but its back again.
I assume its an app that's causing it to crash, but i can't figure out what app.
I'm not sure because it seems that everytime it crashes and i restart it, a program that uses the internet has an update. For example whatsapp, twitter, wordfeud etc.
I tried disabeling wifi, that didn't help. I disabled the mobile network now to see if its internet related, but its not an option to keep that disabled ofcourse.
I removed a couple of apps, but that didn't solve the problem.
Hope someone can help.
If a phone reboots...its typically software related
If it shuts all the way off...its usually battery related.
Call HTC about them sending a replacement battery. Tell them Tmobile told you to call them and you need it for troubleshooting testing.

I can't help, however can report that I have similar issues.
Though I get crashes as well during normal operation such as:
- getting a phone call
- opening up Google Maps (or any GPS app)
- receiving SMS messages
- starting the camera
And all with stock software.
I have a same problem. I cant figure it out. When i turn on my phone battery is around %6 . but normally its around %70. When i restart again it turns normal %70. is it same on your device ?
thnx for the replies! I indeed have weird and incorrect readouts from the battery after restarting, and it doesn´t crash when on the charger.
I realy hope its the battery, i´l call HTC right away to see if they can send me a replacement battery.

Hey... I am facing exactly the same issue. Replacing the battery fixed it or not?
Same here. I also noticed that if I changed my wallpaper, it reverts back to the default phase beam wallpaper on the next boot.
Updating to this firmware
DOWNLOAD 3.32.531.14 710RD (TMO ONLY [THX GROGG88]): http://goo.gl/JCWEO
MD5: 79EDF95337826DF73083E227DB8DE7C3 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 seemed to fix it for me.
It probably shouldn't have, because the firmware is supposed to be the same as previous except for the radio.
Maybe it'll work for you guys.
Had the same problem, it shutsdown when receiving phone calls.... Like the previous post said it must be battery problem.. i did this fix and my phone has not shut down randomly.. this fix will tighten the battery contact with the terminals...try it first, Its a simple fix

Had this same problem on stock sensation . Once I rooted and installed custom rom the problem went Away! Never to return.
I truly believe and its been proven that custom Roms are MORE stable than stock. After installation of the custom rom , the issue of restarting NEVER RETURNED! Not a problem anymore . It's a software issue. It can be fixed with different software . It's a known issue.

I rooted since warrenty is over, I had the problem on stock rom, hungarian t mobile one, and now the problem starts to come back on a custom rom also, but not form the first day, it must be something related to software... i have two batteries and it did not fix the issue, i dont think the battery is the problem, one is original the other (i mostly use) is an anker battery... quite cool since longer standby...
how can i debug and read logs or dumps about the error?
scenarios when my phone shuts off:
- receiving a call after ringing once or twice (not always)
- during talking on the phone
- when i call someone after ringing once or twice (not always)
- starting camera and using it to make a picture in the moment of flash
- sometimes just when its in my pocket, later i pick it out and wonder its again turned off: D´OH!
most stable workaround which lasts usually half a day (remove battery)
have you any ideas how I can read dumps or logs?
thanks

[Q] wifi intermittent

I have had my Galaxy S 4G about 1 month now and I'm a newb to Android. I've not rooted or done anything other than load more apps from the Market to try and learn more about this phone. It is out of the box stock as of 9/2011
My Wifi shows that it is on and logged on to my router at home and when I run the SpeedTest.net app it shows that ping works (though slow) and then the download runs but then times out with a network error.
All I do is toggle off the wifi and then back on again and try it again and suddenly it works fine for some extended time.
I have an I-pod touch that always works along with a laptop that has no issues with the 802.11 g connection from the same chair that I'm sitting in with the phone.
It is an annoyance to keep having to check for "quality of service" issues with an internet connection. You never know when you will have to toggle the service back on again or if you are just looking at a server issue on the other end of the connection
Is this a known problem with either Froyo, Samsung Galaxy or T-Mobile?
My config:
[t959v] = [SGH-T959V]
Firmware version
2.2.1
Kernal Version
2.6.32.9
Build #
Froyo.vuvkd1
Thanks in advance.

Not to my knowledge. I had my SGS4G back in February before the KD1 update and never had the problem. It wouldn't be a T-Mobile issue as, whatever the problem is, is between your phone and the router. So T-Mobile is out of that equation.
Maybe try a factory data reset? Just a thought to see if it helps. I can't think of a good reason it would but it's just an idea. Given that you're not rooted nor running any custom ROMs or firmware I don't want to even think about pointing you down that road.
Have you tried it with more than the 1 router in the house? If it's a problem with wifi in general it could be defective hardware. If it's only with the 1 router then there could be other variables at play (type of router, security on it, & the SGS4G not liking that, etc.)
I'm rambling...but stumped a bit.
Called t_mobile support and once I got to the second level support person she had me stop by a store and get an updated Sim card.
My original card was 7 years old. I really didn't think that would matter, but so far it seems to have done the trick.

List of issues of O3D

Yesterday I was listening to music on O3D after a long time as I mostly use my Nokia N900 for music playback. Anyway I found the sound to skip every few seconds making it painful to listen. I suddenly remembered this that it was like that when i was testing my new O3D back in nov 2011 and I sort of ignored it since I ddin't want to feel that my new $700+ was incapable of doing even a 50$ phone can do easily.
Anyway there might be ways to fix it but i havn't searched in the forums yet. My post is to just list of issues i have faced with o3d. And big FU to LG and will never buy or recommend another LG to anyone.
1. Ghost call - We all know what this is. After GB upgrade majority of people have calls not being registered on their phones while the caller is hearing ringing on their end
2. Stuttering Music - explained above - SOLUTION: Can be fixed by changing SD Cach to 128kb.
3. Sucky battery - On most non custom roms and standard froyo
4. Random reboots - On froyo as well as GB
5. Battery stats not working on Gingerbread
6. Poor quality of photos (seems software problem)
7. Wifi button gets blocked sometimes -> can only get unlocked rebooting (even on 21D) - To explain further, if at anytime you see your wifi button greyed out and phone getting hot check the phone using cpu usage program and you'll see a process called ti_qwlan or something using 48% of the cpu constantly and your phone battery will die within a short time depending on the charge status. From full charge to less than 10mins is about an hour if not too much overclocked.
8. Phone freezes and screen doesn't come on unless restarted.
9. Phone freezes if you are using it and someone calls, you can't answer screen goes blank.
10. Clock freezes as someone mentioned, what i had was it reverts to some weird time and I have to uncheck/check the operator provided time option to get the correct time back.
11. Multi-touch fails sometimes
If anyone else has found other issues pls do share.

3. Sucky battery - On most non custom roms and standard froyo
4. Random reboots - On froyo
If anyone else has found other issues pls do share.

Accidentally clicked thanks, but whatever.
For stuttering music, it's a documented problem and can be fixed. It has to do with the read_ahead_kb setting, apparently setting it to 128 solves the issue or vastly reduces the number of occurrences. Putting your music in the internal sdcard also reduces the occurrences.
I love my O3D but i never get those music stuff ups, are you on stock rom? But i agree the battery sucks so i bought a 3500mhz one of ebay and a 2200mhz aswell since the 3500 needs a weird looking back cover but good for long trips

I find that when using the 3D button whilst using the camera, especially when taking 3D pictures, the phone just randomly reboots. (V21a gingerbread)

Oh yes i forgot to put the battery status
For your issue on 7 yes, i've had that problem as well in one of the roms or kernel combo. Not only the wifi gets greyed out, you lose your battery in matter of minutes depending on the battery charge remaining. That has to do with cpu being utilized 100%. When i had that issue, i checked cpuusage app and showed some ti_wlan process taking 48% of the cpu constantly and only reboot would fix it.
But now it's not happening maybe due to some program i uninstalled or new kernel etc but it's my luck i guess.

I have 16gb class 10 card installed and my music is about 3gb so i can't afford to put in internal card which has tons of programs/games already and i have just 2.9 gb on it.
I'll search more on that settings or any other program i can use which can make listening to music easier on ears LOL.

Read this to find some workarounds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527424
Currently I'm with PowerAmp with the values I suggested at that thread and works very well.
Additionally, you can flash ROM v2.7.1 by Thiaiz -> he has set SD Cache Size to 128KB by default, which can help you.

Not just that
I also get Calls from phantoms!
My gf too. A random unknown number will appear to be calling me, but when I answer all I hear is silence. Try calling back, and I get some random noises, not FAX noises, just weird beeps.
Good ol' LG GB

you should add
wireless settings die and this causes a massive usage of the battery
sometimes the phone freezes and won't respond anymore
clock freezes and forces you to reboot the phone
random shut downs which make your phone to not respond but the processor keeps running killing your battery
so far I've seen those issues
edit: to the guy above, I think you two have stalkers xD never seen that issue on my phone

it looks like the app is problem, not the phone.
or the way the phone handles apps.
i did the same tests, but had no problems after restarting said app.
anyone try this test on other phones?

[Atrix 2 India]Application hangs issue and screen touch issue

Recently I purchased Motorol Atrix2 Phone in India. I am facing some problems...:crying:
1.) While playing Racing Moto game(downloaded from android market) suddenly touch response goes(hlding touch on the screen to increase bike speed) so the bike speed goes down from 120 kmph to 70. After that it will work fora while and again slows down.
2.) Some times touch is not working, this is noticed while playing Temple Run game.
3.) As many people discussed in this forum, network disconnection issue exists.
4.) While playing many of the games/applications, applications hangs(application, not phone) for a while(around 20 sec) and starts working after that. This issue is observed in most of the apps.
When I contatced customer care, they told to do factory reset. After factory reset also, same issues exists.
Does any body noticied similar kind of issues? or my phone is defective one?.
Thanks,
Murali

I admit that this is a very strange problem that none of us are facing. In few days you will get ICS update which might fix the problem. If you are daring enough, then you can install the ICS leak on your own and check whether the problem persists or not.
Refer to this thread for manually installing ICS : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1758824

@androiddecoded, thanks for your reply. I bought it 3 weeks back, so i will wait till ICS OTA. Can you try playing "Racing Moto" game in your atrix2 phone and check whether bike speed suddenly comes down.

Yeah, I have played it lots of time. No problem
Make Sure you do not have non market apps and Hacked apps installed on your phone.
Check the SD card (if games are running from card), you might wanna format the card and reload things, since this is a gaming issue only.
i faced a similar problem with some EA games, then i bought a 16GB grade 10 card and now every games work smooth.
I hope you do not have any screen guard installed.
If all fails, Buy Galaxy S 3

No non market apps are installed, these games are installed in phone memory only(as you know 4GB internal memory is available for apps in Atrix 2).
I added screen guard to the phone screen. If it is the problem with screen guard always it should not work right?.
I played with company given normal screen cover, that time also faced same issue...
I had exactly the same issues with stock 2.3.6 but ever since upgaraded to ICS leak no such problems. Stock rom is no good so better upgrade or wait and upgrade OTA.

@spikywits, Thanks for your reply. I recently bought this phone in India, it has 1 yr warranty. So if i flash custom ROMs, will the manufacturer warranty still exists?

You will lose your warranty..but you can always flash back to stock before taking it to service centre..n besides motorola service centres in india are so bad that its better to avoid them as far as possible..my experience

Will not be an issue unless you know basic stuff on flashing. I had my atrix 2 sent to mororola for replacement under warranty and I was using 4.0.4 leak on it. Ensure you get it flashed back to 2.3.6 while sending it to service center.
Battery problem
I recently bought atrix 2 and found that it shows battery in the intervals of 10% so i installed battery solo widget and also circle battery widget which indicates 1% battery discharging. But whenever i unplug the charger after it is displayed 100 in the widget, the widget shows 99 as soon as i unplug the charger.. Is there a problem in my battery???
Facing same issues on my atrix 2 recently purchased
I am also facing the same issue while playing Racing Moto game. Also the touch hangs sometimes while dialing.
Letme know if you found any solutions.
