Nexus S was the first to boot ICS. We'll get it in time. I'm on the fence between killing my T-Mobile plan and upgrading my work phone to a nexus, but its having some bad issues.
I think the G2x will be awesome running ICS. With GPU acceleration it might be super fast.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV

heres trinity, its the fastest out there. and depending which version you pick, its also the best on battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12931657&postcount=1
Also Netarchy, or matr1x are awesome kernels.

Can those be used on stock ROM? As I said, I just unlocked the bootloader and flashed superuser. No custom ROM as I like the stock already.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I would recommended netarchy for stock rom. He has builds specifically for stock roms and it is extremely stable and fast.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220393Yennob Base 1, tiny undervolt.
Stock with a slight overclock to 1.2ghz plus a tiny undervolt. I use 'base 1, tiny undervolt'. There are options for user volts also. Perfect for stock, ones that don't need all the extra jazz.

Matr1x by mathkid95 is quite a spiffy kernel. It has BLN, Voodoo color and sound, under/over volting and under/overclockability. Battery life is quite impressive as well.
I am among those who felt the stock gingerbread browser was a disgrace. And I will admit that after using the 4.0.1 ICS roms I was worried that Google wouldn't/couldn't deliver smooth performance in the browser.
Well, they have absolutely succeeded, and I want to go on record saying thanks.
In conclusion, I recommend that everyone try out No Wallpaper. Also, the opposite of "complaints" is "plaudits."

Yup very smooth browser gingerbread was a rush job and IMO wasn't really innovating ice cream is great all around and bring whole new experience to our ns
Like a new phone all over again I couldn't be more happy

CM9 is built off of ICS.
So they the same thing?

No. ICS is Googles Android OS. CM9 is a modded version of it.
ics simply refers to android version 4.0. Cm9 is based off of android 4.0 aosp but has many added features and tweaks.
Just like cm7 is based off of android 2.3 (gingerbread) aosp.

I think his question is really what is the difference between the two. Which right now I don't think there is much. I think it's just about porting and getting everything working. Maybe there is some small optimizations done but nothing heavy. I think cyanogenmod is working on adding features as we speak and will most likely release a big beta with all of them implemented vs small amounts being added over time

Well for the g2x there isn't much difference because both builds are still broken lol. I know on my galaxy nexus there is a big difference in cm9 and ics feature wise.

Probably the coolest one in the works is the ability to root and unroot your phone via settings. The new music app is nice too. There's a lot being added every week. Its not complete or even close to being but it is looking awesome.

So I suppose this might be getting a little off topic but what is the point being able to root/unroot via settings?
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I'll prob use the OTA debloated/tweaked ICS build that is going to be developed regardless

Anybody know how CM9 development is going so far for the G2x?
Why isn't there a stable cm7 build yet? Or maybe there is and I'm just missing it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
focus is on CM9 I presume
i have a feeling its cause CM9 isnt far off. by not far off i mean within the next 3 months HOPEFULLY,
3 months is too long. I can't live without cm! It was out so quickly on the sgs2...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
Once we get ICS either officially or ported, I m pretty sure CM9/MIUI will be around the corner!!!!!!
I just recently flashed cm7. It is actually very stable which I was not really expecting based on the alpha status.
Sent from my SGH-I727
It was out for the SGSII so quickly because it has the Exynos chip, like the international version which had already been out for 6 months. It was a much easier port than having to create CM7 from scratch.

My friend had the Atrix 4G, it sucked. Crashed at least once everyday.

Anyone else have opinions?
Sent from my LG-P920 using Tapatalk
Well if I remember correctly, it has a 1gb of ram and CM9 support, but I'm not 100% sure. That sounds good to me
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda app-developers app
My step-son has been using the Atrix since its release and he absolutely loves it. There has never been an issue with it. I prefer the O3D personally.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Thrill all the way. Attic way to slow
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
I actually own both..I loved my atrix 4g...I wanted another when I added this line but they weren't available anymore. That being said I like my thrill better mainly due yo larger screen and old eyes..both are fast thrill has 3d..atrix has an extra partition with partial desktop Linux installed that allows you to plug in HDMI to HDTV and have Linux on TV and phone is mouse pad and touch keyboard.. very cool..so I guess the answer depends on what you like to do with your phone.
Also atrix has unofficial cm9 I used to build mine from source and yes it also has 1 gb of ram..it isn't slow if you run custom roms
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Lol I mean cm9 and the Linux TV was what grabbed my attention but not only that the fact it will also get ICS screams to me that it will race right past the thrill once both are on ICS ill be trading my friend so ill still have access to the phone as I should really really like to see the final product after ICS is out and miui is available

Not to mention miui is available on atrix. My wife runs notachrix it is gingerbread but very stable so I don't have to worry about her having probs. Ics roms still have 2d driver issues and she plays those damn farm games..lol...you will Like it just pm me before you unlock the boot loader if it is not already done..it is a pain in the butt.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Not to get off track here but what is so good about miui? I have never seen anything there that made me think anything but Iphone.
Well, I own both, so:
Atrix on stock gingerbread sucks. Also, it feels flimsier than the P920. My atrix is currently in the drawer, waiting for parts...Case scratches easily, too. On the nice part: ICS 4.0.4 rocks, but you get no fingerprint support...Phone fast as hell, especially when overclocked @1450MHz....
As for the P920:
Bulky, but sturdier than the atrix, screen looks better, despite lower resolution...Camera is better too (but IMO the flash on the atrix is better)...P920 also feels faster, be it stock or overclocked...Wireless communications also seem better.Negative side: Battery lasts shorter on my P920 than the atrix
Shortening it: if you want a developer's phone, get the atrix, if you want a nice-looking, feature-rich phone, then LG it is.
