I know this sounds obvious, but did you try to tap on the logo and then hit the x like all the other notifications work?

There is a dismount and open file explorer to the external SD, no x

Yes, this is annoying. I'm one of those people who compulsively gets rid of notifications, and not being able to get rid of this one is annoying.

For me it just seemed to go away after having my SD card in for a while and after a reboot

If you have root

Its worth noting that revolver has the option to hide the status bar built in which makes the notification disappear when u re enable

nexus trackball color?

Is there a way to change the color of the trackball because when you are using a bluetooth the trackball is blue
Yes, root your N1, then go do a search in the general Nexus One forum for "track ball"... there is a walkthrough of how to apply the files so you can change it as you wish.
Edit:
they have made it into an .apk, so all you need to do is be rooted, put the apk on your SD card, install it using Astro File Manager, and you are good to go.
Okay so downlowded the apk but how do you actually set it so it works with your messaging system.

If you installed it, its sets automatically. You dont need to do anything. Send an SMS to yourself and first the normal white flash will appear - then after a few seconds the color you picked and installed will start to flash. Stops when you confirm the alert.

So if I go into the app how do I know its set? Everytime I send myself a message, it just flashes white twice right when I get the message then just does the normal white at the normal speed.

same, I can't get it to work. I have the above .apk installed, but when I choose my color if I don't click "stop" it will keep flashing even after I close the .apk program.
I was doing the same thing as you guys.
This is the correct link:

If you want to see it in the thread of the forum, it's on page 19 of that link you sent.
Thanks everyone I got it working and is a really good concept for future apps

Theres no "x"
Lets you be reminded that the SD card is there and working ... ;-) .(pun intended) in the prime the micro SD slot was so flush that it would just spring out when you accidentally touched it and fly across the room ...Asus did some minor changes with the shape of the back panel of tf300 after the issues with prime.

I too was hoping there was a way to hide the SD card notification icon.
Any luck on this? Very annoying. Or is there way to make the shortcut open different file browser? Thanks. Guess this is a bump
Please, I have the same problem, it is very frustrating, I do not know why is this information in notifications
OT: Does anybody know if there is possibility to change the web browser what is opened with key on dock keyboard - the browser button??
Thank you

Must be some 3rd party app you installed.
It has either "draw over apps" rights (Settings->Security->Draw over apps) or even root rights (if you are rooted).
remove the permissions one by one and reboot to find the culprit app

I hope it's an app but I uninstalled everything I added to the device yesterday and it's still there. It goes on and off periodically. A reboot didn't fix it.
Yellow font 'offline' in a gray bar.
Anyone else seeing this?

Yes... Exact same thing.
I have the same issue on my Pixel XL. Just started about 15 minutes ago. Haven't downloaded any new apps in at least a week.

Can you guys go to settings->developer options: running services and send a screenshot of all running services?
also are you guys rooted?
Also pulling a logcat might shed some light into it.
Well this is both scary and good. It just stopped. If it starts again I'll take screen shots and post.
No I'm not rooted.
Well cancel that... It started again... Incoming requested info.
I'm having this problem on my Pixel XL. As soon as I deleted "Zedge" it went away. I redownloaded it and I am trying to replicate the "offline" message to see if it goes away again when I uninstall Zedge.

@Nsain1 got Zedge installed as well. Wonder how it can draw an overlay though without the "draw over apps permission".
ES File Explorer is also often a goo candidate when it comes to weird ads and such.

I stopped using ES Explorer a long time ago. It's not installed on my phone.
So I uninstalled Zedge and ES Explorer and rebooted. The message is still coming up. I appreciate the suggestions. This is odd for sure.
Not rooted. I wonder what app is causing this, it will notify offline even though i am connected to wifi, and it will not show up if i will turn off wifi.
Zeke125 - By chance you don't have control 4 do you?

Google Pay Card Switcher

I just updated my Pixel 3 from Google to July Android 10, stock rooted with Magisk, and noticed that the Google Pay card switcher (long press on power button) was active. I ended up shutting it off, because I wasn't planning on using Google Pay. Well, I changed my mind and set it up, but now I can't reenable having the card switcher. There is now no switch to reenable it in the Pay app.
Any thoughts?
In settings, type power in the search bar at the top. Then look for "show cards & passes". Turn it on and it should get you the card switcher back. If it's not there, I don't know what to tell you.

In a million years I would never have thought to check there... Why that setting is not in the Google Pay app is beyond me... Oh well, the miracles of Android never fail to amaze, and confuse! Now, if I can get my dialer app back into light mode, I would be happy!

Question How to get rid of this notification?

It is a permanent one from lsposed and just appeared after an update. Wasn't there before. Cannot be disabled for more than a few days.

i am on 1.8.6 (6721). how do i get the beta? and yes, disabling the notification doesnt really work for more than a few hours.
weird thing is...i did not have the issue before updating to the latest version.
First press Verknüpfung erstellen (Create shortcut) in Settings. That creates a new shortcut on your home screen, you can remove the old one after long pressing it.
When the new shortcut appears, you can disable the status notification. That option is currently greyed out.
i got it...it was greyed out because i didnt clicked the button to generate an app icon. i now did that (already had one but whatever). now i can disable it.
thank you very much guys!
Interesting, but why is it like that?

It's a way to make sure you can open it, cause if the notification is gone (and you didn't make a shortcut), you cannot open it any more.

Yeah I can understand that, was looking into it a bit. What makes the manager 'parasitic'? How does that work?
