I wonder if it could be to do with installing that performance package that was linked in Android Development.
Thats true is it easy to remove and then try again
Dont install this update if you have clockwork recovery mod installed (4.0.0.9 here), my phone rebooted to install the update, instead it booted recovery and now I cant get out (update or recover via the LG app in emergency mode etc...) seems my phones bricked till a compatible update for clockwork comes out.
Updated flawlessly, used 21% battery and took 10 minutes to update... not sure what the difference is,i was on 2.2.2 before the update.
Any idea what has been updated.

I restored with LG recovery but is now stuck on a screen "Firmware Update in progress" but nothing happens, it may be that aspects of a full battery charge?
Sorry for my English

Hmm, I restored my firmware to the original V10b from june because I had ClockWork installed an the phone was rooted.
Everything went perfect though I get a message that I already have the latest firmware version when I try to update through the phone. The LG Mobile Support Tool tells me there's an update but when I try to install it it says my phone is not supported.
Hello everyone!
Guys for me in Sweden the update is not available yet. When I run the LG Mobile Support Tool it finds an update for my device but then when I click on it to start the updater, I get a no updated version found message. Is this update available worldwide or?

I received the prompt finally to update to 2.3.2 so when I hit the button and my phone rebooted I got the triangle with the ! inside so I had to do a battery pull. Any ideas why this happened and will the OTA come back? I never even received the new market ota either. I'm rooted and stock.

Many others have reported this and had a simple fix for it. Can't remember it but you should search.

I had the same problem just now, so I rebooted the phone and tried to update it manually. When doing it manually, it gives an error message telling me what went wrong. It turns out that the modified Gallery 3D apk that I installed was the cause of the problem. When I reverted to the original Gallery apk, the update went through without a hitch.
How did u do it manually? Flashing a zip file?

Had the exact same issue.
I followed this thread which solved my problem : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=923860
My Nexus S user experience has been LAME so far :
- Laggy UI
- Having to wait 10 days for a 601kb update
- Bugs after update (got stuck on the yellow triangle screen)
- Unable to modify my damn contact icon in SMS threads

Actually its more like welcome to the cutting edge. There is a reason why manufacturers wait and do so much testing before releasing updates. Not to say google doesn't but the more people you have testing the easier it is to find problems and fix them.

Oh, yes, because it's so much better to wait 5 months for an update that only brings you to the last version of the OS which was released 8 months ago (like the Vibrant just now getting Froyo)...

Odd - I had an update last week on unbranded UK HTC Chacha but my new version number is
1.54.401.3???
i got this update yesterday (it wasnt in there about month ago) .but like jporch my software number is 1.54.401.3 .i guess it's because my rom is european (even though im iranian ) like yours, jporch.
an interesting point is , i had this known "dialer" issue, too .but it sounds like it is fixed. the dialer application was on 98% before the update all the time ; no matter what common fix i applied ( eg turning on the bluetooth, check off those three options(fliper and.. ) in Setting>Sound ...) but now it works ok . it's on 3% (even without those quick known fixes i mentioned.but i havent measured the time that battery can hold on since i updated it yesterday.
still no fix for the internal memory.
these are my experiences with this new system update.
Hello.
I had update software and now WiFi doesn't work. Any help???

i have no idea why.but i would suggest a master reset if the other members has the same opinion..?
---------- Post added at 10:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:05 AM ----------
and btw , my phone dialer again went wrong to 97% again after a day. i dont know why ! and the day after that it went back to 49% !!!! (which is between 97 and 3 % ).the only thing that im suspicious of is this fix that i applied (pm setInstallLocation 2)
Yeah - i checked dialer imediately after i updated and it went straight to 98% - since then its been on 49% exactly almost every day since????

Okay ill run it later. I've not done anything else just rooted. Recovery is all stock, ROM is stock etc. Just rooted the stock ROM for Link2SD.
Hope this works !
Can we get any improvement from HTC in this new ROM
I ended up not running this update. I found out why it was crashing and fixed it. I'm afraid to update and lose root, apparently you can't go back.
I have an unlocked Lg G2 (D800 AT&T) that I'm using on T-mobile . Both T-mobile and AT&T have released the OTA update to lollipop however my G2 says device is up to date . How do I get the lollipop update with out rooting my phone ????

you can't nor should use the tmobile update, it will brick your phone. if you don't have a ATT SIM to get it automatically you will have to do it all manually.
Beware the update break quite a couple things, including the battery life that gets all out of wack. I am still reading to check if it makes sense to update or to stay in a firmware that can be use as a daily driver with a good battery life.

I dont kniow what have you read but I have 2 weeks on 5.0.2 on my D800 and the battery is better, its true that the UI its a little bit in the laggy side but i have a lot of widges. The update its worthy, the things I miss from 4.4 are the wireless storage (accesible from the togle menu) and the album widget, everything else its ok for me
I update my D800 to 5.0.2 and I really love it.

I did the OTA (using AT&T sim) and hard reset a few times through recovery to ensure everything was clean to start with. Most things work great, but battery life has been strange. Last weekend it was around 80% charged and I put it down. Came back a few hours later and it was off because the battery died. This morning I took it off the charger after being on all night (showed 100%). Plugged it into my computer and it then showed 33%.
I also see odd things in the battery control panel showing estimated remaining battery life of 48 hours sometimes. If I were to guess I'd say it's an issue with battery calibration, but who knows. My suggestion is to stick to kitkat for now until a newer version of Lollipop is released for the G2. If you do go with the current OTA version of KK, a hard/factory reset is highly suggested.

You can try instaling (if you have not already done it) a battery calibration app, for me its not a hardware fault but a software one, hope you can resolve it!

Reviving an old thread but even I have the same requirement. I currently use an unlocked AT&T G2 on Lycamobile (Tmobile MVNO) and never get the Lollipop OTA. It always says the current version is already installed.
My question is, if I get an at&t SIM somehow (does it needs to be activated?), will the Lollipop update show up immediately? Are all the initial issues with Lollipop currently resolved? Is it better to stay off the Lollipop version?

I got this notice too today.
I update, it rebooted after I clicked on it. Normal boot, no update during boot, boot complete, it says system settings updated...
But I don't know what's changed? Also on the P20 Pro?
?
Maybe they are preparing for harmony os dual boot or something?

I received the same thing and I couldn't find any information regarding the update. Was thinking something is not right and not the usual update process we are used to.
Hopefully someone fingers it out.
I also got this push notification for system settings, wasn't a normal update. My device a Huawei nova 3i.
Edit: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80680997&postcount=2
Honor 10 also received this system setting update.
Some news? I also received the update but I didn't notice any restart in recovery or changelog. Perhaps they have resolved the excessive consumption of the battery due to the system IU process.
The same with me today mate 20 pro
I noticed this update at the morning. I assumed it's related to daylight saving time. For example Israel moved the clock 1 hour back yesterday night.
