Odd - I had an update last week on unbranded UK HTC Chacha but my new version number is
1.54.401.3???
i got this update yesterday (it wasnt in there about month ago) .but like jporch my software number is 1.54.401.3 .i guess it's because my rom is european (even though im iranian ) like yours, jporch.
an interesting point is , i had this known "dialer" issue, too .but it sounds like it is fixed. the dialer application was on 98% before the update all the time ; no matter what common fix i applied ( eg turning on the bluetooth, check off those three options(fliper and.. ) in Setting>Sound ...) but now it works ok . it's on 3% (even without those quick known fixes i mentioned.but i havent measured the time that battery can hold on since i updated it yesterday.
still no fix for the internal memory.
these are my experiences with this new system update.
Hello.
I had update software and now WiFi doesn't work. Any help???
Which version was before, I want to go back to it. Now is 1.54.401.3

i have no idea why.but i would suggest a master reset if the other members has the same opinion..?
---------- Post added at 10:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:05 AM ----------
and btw , my phone dialer again went wrong to 97% again after a day. i dont know why ! and the day after that it went back to 49% !!!! (which is between 97 and 3 % ).the only thing that im suspicious of is this fix that i applied (pm setInstallLocation 2)
Yeah - i checked dialer imediately after i updated and it went straight to 98% - since then its been on 49% exactly almost every day since????
Does this update remove root?

Okay ill run it later. I've not done anything else just rooted. Recovery is all stock, ROM is stock etc. Just rooted the stock ROM for Link2SD.
Hope this works !
Can we get any improvement from HTC in this new ROM
I ended up not running this update. I found out why it was crashing and fixed it. I'm afraid to update and lose root, apparently you can't go back.

I recently bought lg optimus net p690. It was running very good. I rooted it 3-4 days ago. There was no problem after rooting. It was running the same good. But while using wifi I ran the "software update" from phone. It downloaded an 18MB file and then updated phone and restarted. After that my phone has become very laggy. It runs slowly. When I slide to change homescreens, they change very slowly. applications too are laggy now. sometimes they crash...
now I want that previous firmware that was running good.
I tried to reset my phone (settings>privacy>erase) but nothing improved (my apps got deleted ).
I dont remember what was the previous firmware version or any thing.. but this is what is displays
Android version 2.3.4
Software version v10e-Jan-06-2012
How do I roll back to the previous version of firmware.. pls help!!
Only death can not be fixed.
How do you know that you downloaded a new fimware or just some application updates?
Did you take note of the software version? (Under Settings/About/Software).
Did it give you any warning about losing your Apps? (Titanium Back-Up is for backing-up Apps).
You can not "roll-back" firmware if you did not do a ROM (also called nandroid) back-up first...
But don't dispair, because If a ROM is not working for you, wether it is stock (Manufacturer) or not, you can get something better here!

Cheers, and don't despair, rooting is just the first step to a long and fun path!
BTW, you might have to root it again, but you already know how to.

Opps.... Forgot to ask... Did you do a "reset" (Hold Power down and choose reset phone)? A simple reset can solve A LOT of things, better than just pulling the battery out, so try that first and let us know what happened.
Again, you have to ENJOY getting into phones. You will learn a lot while failing and trying again!
i did reset from phone settings. not a hard reset.
it displayed "updating firmware" during the update process.
where can i get custom roms for lg p690? i dont know how to install them. pls help

This happened to me recently. I ended up having to install a custom ROM. Check out cm 10 for something close to stock. Good luck
Download WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
You can restore your phone to stock & also solve the loop problem with this program.

no idea, it randomly started for me a few months ago one day. I was completely stock, not even rooted or unlocked. I tried everything, but the only thing that eventually worked was installing cyanogenmod.

I recently rooted my phone to try and recover some deleted pictures after the phone completely crashed and wouldn't load up , I have tried to install an original firmware using Odin but I keep getting the same message about not being authorized . Am I installing the wrong files or am I not doing something thathat causes it to fail?
Where did you download the firmware? Are you sure you're using the correct version?
Are you on a G930T or a G935T?
I had the same problem on mine before, what solved it was downloading a later version of the firmware, as you can't downgrade just like that.
You can download the latest firmware from Sammbile. (I would link but I have less than 10 posts.
The T stands for T-Mobile, and the 930 is the regular, 935 is the edge. If you're not T-Mobile, you're in the wrong section, but I'm still glad to help once I obtain more information.

Always flash the most recent firmware becasue if you don't remember chances are you can flash an old version and run into issues, so to be safe flash the latest available firmware. Also when you first rooted did you change the CPU governor or run/install anything that could have caused the bootloop in the first place?

You can install this awesome rom to speed things up don't worry it's a stock rom so no Knox trip. The link I will provide also has instructions. So to get started I recommend making a backup of applications with titanium backup which might require the pro so unfortunately you may have to buy a full version( if you don't want to spend money you can patch the app with lucky patcher). And I recommend checking out this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...stockdeodexeddebloatedrom-7-10-t3415952/page1
It is somewhat debloated and has the best speed I've seen yet... Ive been using it for a month now and I love it!
So, I rooted my S7. It worked fine. One day, randomly out of no where it bootlooped (Google play services crashed. I restarted phone and it bootlooped. )
I have not made a single system modification other then rooting it. Didn't mod anything or mess with system files, and I had barely even been using the phone when it happened.
So I unrooted it (The phone still gave me the "Custom" symbol though) and Just now-- It randomly restarted. I didn't restart it. it just did it by itself. And it came into a bootloop. I don't understand why. What can I do to fix this?
MORE SPECIFICALLY: By Bootloop, I mean it stays on the T-Mobile screen and vibrates every minute or so and does not do anything (I even left it alone for ~ 30minutes and it never got past this screen)
Factory resetting the phone fix's it, but I don't want to factory reset my $400 phone every week! I don't understand how I could fix this either.
What method did you use to unroot? Did you flash stock firmware with odin?

All I did pretty much was flash stock s7 firmware. (More specifically boot.img)
Originally couldn't find a stock s7 image then I just used one I already had and it worked fine
EDIT: Flashed the entirety of G930TUVU4APK1 firmware, (Rom and all) Hopefully this will fix my issue and stop it from happening but if Anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'm all open

Just now noticed wat your problem is sorry for being late so yes to fix the bootloop refladh stock firm and when you go through all the root steps install xposed (yes it's possible it's insane on how they got it to work but it's possible I've done with my self)after getting xposed installed through flash fire go to xposed and get xtouchwiz something it's a blue gear install that And it will set your system status as official
