New Web Benchmark Vellamo - HTC Sensation

Qualcomm have released a new web benchmark.
http://www.talkandroid.com/46561-qu...lamo-for-benchmarking-mobile-web-performance/
Post your scores here.
Here are mine for comparison:
SGS: 552
HTC Sensation: 744
For some reason my HTC Sensation scores quite low compared to the reference one

642.
The sensation they had listed was around 900. Wonder how they pulled that off?

Mine is a sensation by the way. Sorry for not stating that.

Mine is 746.

Got a 753.
Does using wifi make a difference?
Edit: 2nd run 777.

quick question for the ppl that downloaded this app and are overclocked. while overclocked, go to the vellamo app and go to system info, under cpu do it show both cores being overclocked cause when im oc'd it shows core 1 being oc'd and core 2 as 0, but both cores show the same freq when not oc'd. so my question is, is the method we use to oc just working on 1 core?

Mine's not OC'd and Vellamo shows min and max 0 for CPU 2.

this is what it show on mines with no overclock, both cores show being clocked the same
damn sorry for the big pic

got a 760. no overclock. seems to be around the average... not counting that 900 score it shows.

and this is what it shows oc'd

So every time I run it I get a lower score. Now I'm down to 588. What the hell? Should I be concerned?

Also mine is not oc'd. Core 1 -1188, core 2 - 0. Could that be why I'm getting such low scores?

The comparison's inevitable, here's my SGS2. 941.

i wonder how fast does a stock android score hmmmm cant wait for perm ROOT

with a few tweaks i got my sensation upto 928. im sure i could push it a bit higher too.
edit: 951 on second run.
overclocked w/bloatware removed.

The scrolling tests show how badly we need a 3d accelerated browser/user interface on the Sensation.

I got 767 on my Sensation.

Disappointing Linpack Scores

Hey guys, could someone please explain to me why my Nexus S (2.3.3) is only getting an avg score of 12 mflops while my N1 (2.3.3) is getting an avg score of 37 mflops on the Linpack app?
Because benchmarking does not equal real world performance.
Quillcomm Snapdragon processors have better performance when it comes to this particular test.
Hummingbird will excel in other specific benchmark tests.
Run a test with any 3D game or HD, if it lags, then its the device, if it runs smooth, then is the benchmark app itself that hasn't been updated to read scores due to our ota, I had the same thought and issue with quadrant but then I installed modern combat and pes11(soccer game) and both run smoothly, try smartbench 2010 its free on the market and updated for our phones.

Cool that's good to know. I'll try 3D games and compare. Thanks for the feedback.

linpack is made for the snapdragon processors. my overclocked nexus s gets around 23 on linpack. but, lets see one of those snapdragons do this on quadrant, or get 63 fps on nenamark, or get a 37000+ on an3Dbench...

That's a nice score. Well I just d/l Smartbench 2011. My NS got around 850 while N1 got 970, both are estimates. But I did notice that on the corridor test the NS ran it super quick while N1 was sluggish.
Benchmarks depend on what you do to your phone, from a custom rom to an overclocked kernel and other tweaks, such a lagfix do the trick, it looks awesome to hit those numbers but the device cannot be stable 24/7, not for a daily use.

Post Your Highest Quadrant Standard Scores!

My score is 2400.. The only phone ive seen higher is the Atrix 4G..
Let me know your scores on the G2x!!
Highest score I've gotten is 2732, although the highest one i have a screenshot of is 2724. I posted it in the lg g2x benchmark thread a while ago.
EDIT: just ran it on the leaked gingerbread rom and got 2805
I dunno much about benchmarking android devices, I assume it's like running one on a PC where you really want to do it with a clean install and nothing unnecessary running. If that's the case, then my phone ought to be able to do much better than this.

earlier today on my 3rd or 4th run.
The g2x would get a much much better score in quadrant if it didn't score so low in the 2d test. It seems to score the same in the 2d test as most single core devices at around 19fps. If you look at the individual test part scores you can see that the difference in the g2x score and the sgsII score is about the difference in the 2D test score.
I can get over 2800 with EagleBlood 1.03 Gingerbread. I turn on Airplane mode, turn off auto sync, and turn on wi-fi, and get over 2800 easily.
G2x at 1.3 GHz, using quad std you can.t see the tint I/O score compared to my higher scoring NS. Any other quad i will thus post from quad adv.
I/O really kills the avg at ~1400 vs ~4500
http://www.jpct.de/an3dbenchxl/show.php?code=MjYyNzQx163391&page=0
that's a nice benchmark too
stock-stock rom....
I am getting anywhere from 2300 to 2500 when I run quadrant on my G2x.
Got a 2921 out of mine. Pretty good!
This is one of the lowest I've experienced, but who counts quadrant scores? How about smartbench 2011 for our type of phones?? Neocore scores too. Power!!
While I was installing all my apps, no less.

EaglesBlood 1.03
EaglesBlood 1.03 with Morfic's kernel. But benchmarks are worthless. That being said I still like high numbers so here it is.
I'm not allowed to post outside links, but my highest is 2573. Liking the numbers coming from the EagleBlood rom though.

[2013.07.03] CF-Bench v1.3

About
CF-Bench is (mainly) CPU and memory benchmark tool specifically designed to be able to handle multi-core devices, produce a fairly stable score, and test both native as well managed code performance.
It tests specific device properties you do not regularly see tested by other benchmarks, and runs in a set timeframe.
It does produce some "final" scores, but as with every benchmark, you should take those with a grain of salt. It is simply not theoretically possible to produce a single number that accurately describes a device's performance.
Why ?
I know, there are lots of other benchmarks. But they don't give me the numbers I'm personally interested in comparing. Few really support multi-core or test both native and Java code. This benchmark is also supposed to give a more "stable" score compared to some others.
Current scores
Here are a number of scores reached by tested devices:
Samsung Galaxy S2 @ 2x1200 - 6498
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v @ 2x1000 - 5188
HTC Sensation @ 2x1188 - 5174
Motorola Atrix @ 2x1000 - 5136
HTC Thunderbolt @ 1920 - 4663
Motorola Droid X @ 1200 - 2792
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" @ 1000 - 2401
Samsung Galaxy S @ 1000 - 2205
HTC HD2 @ 1536 - 2041
Samsung Apollo @ 667 - 488
HTC Hero @ 748 - 359
HTC Dream (G1) @ 528 - 191
Of course, you should really keep in mind that the three different scores listed at the bottom of the app are pretty meaningless

{BENCH WARS} / SETTINGS & CONFIGURATION Discussion

Just a thread to post screen shots of your Sensations Bench scores, and discuss what settings, apps, scripts, etc. you're using ,to see how far we can take our dual core and how much we can learn about optimal settings, etc. Lets see who can be the fastest and how they got there. People on Sense Roms feel free to post here too and have your Sense Wars. AOSP ROMs will almost always be higher on bench scores since there is less bogging down the system.
Benches can be manipulated.
For example- turning up the settings/overclocking to run the phone harder and at maximum rates. They may also be manipulated in other fashions. Feel free to question any score.
No SS=No proof.
Use whatever Bench you want. Antutu and CF-Bench are the standards, as Quadrant often gives crazy high or low scores on its own. Though no bench is truly accurate, because when ran at max with Airplane Mode on, they never return the same number. Leaving you to kind of weed out the bad tests and average out your score. They can be used to get a good general idea of performance related settings.
They should also be done at daily driver settings and clocks to find out what it kind of speed we can get out of our DD settings.
Be honest about your settings. This is only for fun and/or seeing what set ups/numbers/clockings work. Which save battery, etc.

Benches shouldn't be lived by. Quadrant is a very flawed test IMO. On my daily driver settings this is my score. So this is why I say post your settings as well so we can find(hopefully) a good general performance standard for settings/mods/scripts, etc.
Same settings. Just not locking CPU1 online. Also left on max clock.

So the new quadrant app is actually somewhat useful. It breaks down the score by category.

This is on eclipse 1.3 with pbj kernel and max frequency at 800mhz and conservative governor.
Obviously i have a low cpu score, but somehow i have a massive lead in i/o over nexus s and gnex but not the tab. Do they still use rfs or something? Also everything has a substantial lead in 2d/3d over the gnex, which is strange considering they all have the same gpu and the gnex is clocked faster.

I've always found AnTuTu to be a better benchmark. It didn't suffer the seemingly random variability that Quadrant suffered. I'll have to check out the new version of Quadrant to see how it is.
