Multi-Thread Linpack - T-Mobile LG G2x

Linpack has a new multi-thread app out. The best SGS2 score has been 155.597 MFLOPS. The Zoom is the reigning champion. Any of you run it yet?

Looks like the Evo 3D to me with 201.754
I'm getting crap with CM7 lol. 39.807 for both single and multithread
Of course I'm running stock everything. Be interesting to see what a EXT4 kernel with a 1.5ghz OC gets.

I don't know if I'mdoing it right, but it only takes about half a second to run the test? And I'm getting results all over the place between 81 and 101.
edit: Oh, that was at 1300MHz...when I pumped it up to 1500, I'm getting values between 93 and 113 on multithread.
Running EB 1.05 w/faux 0.0.3 1500uv/oc

I noticed mine says "Inconsistent Result" for Precision. Seems goofy. Very weird. Doesn't seem accurate.
If I keep doing it, sometimes I get a value for "Precision" but the MFLOPS are all over the place. Like above but mine go from high 30's to low 100's.
Again with CM7.

CM57 + Morifc @ 1.5/1.5 = 107.568
Update: Saw the Evo 3d scores were off the hook so I ran it on my Sensation (same exact processor) and got 15 wtf

lol.
15 eh?

appears they worked this app with the evo and x2.
and made it work for those processors.
someone said the evo3d and sensation are same processor but i thought that the
sensation was a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8260
evo3d was a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8660
did this change. if not this may explain why its not working on the sensation as it does on the evo even though the chips are simialair their must be some differences.
???????

appears to be the worlds worst benchmark tool

Right you are. The difference is because of the different radios, one being GSM the other CDMA. Could explain things.

I got a score of 140+ but it was Inconsistent Result. But when it does go through it is around 118 OC @ 1.55. I think it still has some bugs to be worked out for sure.

My stock Atrix is now hitting almost 90mflops!

I get 115 118 on oc 1500 but says inconsistent most times.
I believe from my experience with benchmarks is that these are made to favor certain setups ( ie. A specific phone.) I have no problems oc to 1500 all benchmarks run fine.
But on the smartbench 2011 it will give me invalid results on the 1500 oc every time. But the test run fine with no issues. Just my thought on this. Totally take these with a grain of salt.

this benchmark is not updated, SGII has got over 3000>>> http://gurkensenf.com/wordpress/?p=9044
The SGS 2 is currently the benchmark king, but all the benchmarks that are currently on the net for O3D show that the O3D was running pre-release software. There are no final release software O3D's benchmark test results out yet.
Ian
At mwc on february in barcellona,Lg press conference showed a 2900+ points in quadrant.
SGS2 can easily get over 4000 quadrant score when overclocked to a stable 1.5GHz.
I wonder if we can overclock the O3D? If so, I reckon it will also go to 1.5GHz possibly.
I've had the pleasure to play with it yesterday at LG. Only had the time to install Quadrant.

di you ask to lg for a release date?
Well the best I heard was the beginning of july in the netherlands. The representative said that with the final rom Quadrant reached about 3000, it is expected to go higher when 2.3 comes out for the Optimus 3d. 2.3 should roll out just after launch.

Quick question, why do the benchmarks seem a bit low is this review? Neocore didn't even hit 59 FPS! And the quadrant seems a bit low of 2800+ that LG claim...
Is this review still not on final software?
Thanks
Ian
The highest i got on Quadrant was 2680. But mine is running on May software, so its not final. Don't really compare this phone to SG2 because that comes overclocked from Sammy and is on gingerbread, that's why it gets high scores. Wait til O3D gets 2.3 and overclock kernel then we shall see its potential.

[Q] Nexus S getting very low scores on Quadrant

Hi everybody!
I've been using my Nexus S for one and a half weeks by now, and I've noticed that the phone itself is very cool etc. but it's Quadrant scores (Standard Edition) are only about 1250-1390, basically. It does the "hallway" part quite well (about 40 fps), but in the "planet" and the "dna" section it's framerate drops to 10-15 fps.
Here are the average framerates of each section:
"Sun surface" - 19
"Hallway" - 45
"Flashing room" - 37
"Planet & Moon" - 11 (WTF??)
"DNA" - 19
Final result: 1385
Hope you understood my terms
The phone is running Android GB 2.3.1 (still waiting for 2.3.3), and I have heard people say that Quadrant doesn't fully support Gingerbread, but I'm still childishly annoyed about a Quadrant score so low on a such high-end(for now) device!
Do you have any explanation for this?
Quadrants mean nothing. But if it really feeds your ego, you need to update to a custom ROM + kernel to get higher numbers.
Also, there has been reports of people not getting the update to 2.3.3. So you should probably manually update to 2.3.3 (find it in the general forums "2.3.3 link" thread)
I get the same odd low scores that you do, but I get 2800 in quadrant. CM7 #36
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
Yeah not to mention the stock kernel doesn't have this ext4 boost thing in terms of I/O speeds. it was explained by supercurio.
I get 1931 pts with mine, Nexus S GT-I9023 stock (2.3.3, GRI40, Radio KB3...)
Quadrant score means nothing.

Yeah thanks for just repeating what i said -.-
I suggest manually installing 2.3.3 update if you really want to stay stock... other wise, CM7 rc4 or nightly with ogdobber "james bond" kernel.. it's fast, super fast.. 3200+ points on quadrant with no OC..
well, on my NS i even hit 4539 (top till now) so i can say i got no complain.. although yes it is true in the planet section especially it get REALLY low fps

For some reason 3D part of the app runs like crap dev didn't do anything to improve this on NS
galaxy s runs same hardware yet caps out at 56fps on every graphic test
This is just another reason on top of the IO exploit that we shouldn't use this crap benchmark as a benchmark standard but try telling this to people who will continue to pop a boner over their exaggerated IO scores

44.1 fps with Nenamark2 on Virtuous @ 1.188 GHz max 368MHz min.
2D performance has improved a lot -- I'm seeing double the FPS compared to GB ROMs -- that's all I've taken from Quadrant (max I'll get is 2200). Probably has to do with hardware acceleration.
Quadrant is extremely outdated and was not a very good benchmarker when it was up to date. It is inconsistant and, correct me if I am wrong, it does not take advantage of dual cores.
Nenamark is a great 3D benchmark.
Also, here is a screen shot I took a long time ago with my Nexus One.

You didn't mention which ROM. I'm assuming Virtuous
Actually the 3D performance increased after 2.08 update which brings android 2.3.5 with updated adreno drivers. I score 38-40 with 2.08, on the official sense 3 there is 25 fps max limit.
Anyway I read that 3D games don't work with ics build or works with noticeable lag. Is that true or games is playable now?

[Q] Graphics performance - Bad Hardware or Bad Drivers?

I have been using Galaxy SL since last 10 months and one thing that has bugged me since I bought it is bad graphics performance (both on GB & Froyo). Now, I am not complaining about the low powered GPU but simply it's bad performance.
I just wanted to confirm if anybody else here suffers from the same and whether it's a software bug or a hardware problem.
Here are a few comparison pics (compared to my Xperia Neo V):
Galaxy SL (Left) , Xperia Neo V (Right)

Sprinkle:
Note the appearance of water
Paper Camera:
It doesn't work the first time you start it, but after restarting the app it works although it breaks h/w acceleration for rest of the apps such as camera, video playback etc.
I also own a ZTE Blade and a Acer Icona A500, and both of them perform the same as Xperia. Can anybody else confirm similar issues on Galaxy SL? Or should I go for a replacement?
I just downloaded sprinkle from the market and im not having your problem. The water is the same as the Xperia one. Maybe you should ask for a replacement from Samsung? Faulty GPU maybe? You never know

Thanks for checking it out, can you try it maybe after playing a video or doing some gaming. As, mine also works fine after restarting the phone but after doing some work like gaming, watching videos it breaks as in the screen shot. Can you also try Paper Camera? I'll appreciate your help.
I am still covered by warranty so I may go for a replacement.
PS: I have never OC'd my phone and also tried the graphics solution mentioned in the forum (editing the egl.cfg and deleting libGLES_android.so) but no solution so far.
I tried Sprinkle too and the water is weird (to avoid misunderstandings:http://i.imgur.com/C3U1ml.jpg).
I'm using CM7, I don't know if the performance are the same as stock roms.
Anyway the Xperia neo V has an Adreno 205, which is better than our PowerVR SGX530, if I'm not wrong.

Thanks for confirming my doubt, I guessed this could be a widespread problem. Moreover, it doesn't concern the GPU power, as a ZTE Blade with Adreno 200 runs it better and I think it's equivalent if not better to our PowerVR 530.
So, what could be causing it? Bad drivers? Does all PowerVR 530 devices face the same issue?
oh?!
mhh.. very interesting :?
The GPU isn't the best, but from missing textures in one of the benchmark apps, i'd say it's incomplete drivers.
Just for Root rom

I have already mentioned in my second post, that I am using this method. AFAIK, it just gives a little boost in benchmark scores nothing else.
I was wondering if Optimus Black users also have this problem...

Thanks bro, must say I'm very satisfied with my S22 Ultra. But we still need Samsung to do some tweeking, specially with the graphics driver. My phone doesn't even get hot during the test, so my phone can with no doubt manage a higher CPU and GPU clock freq. Hope it will happen, otherwise rooting and own build kernel.
