Error with front facing camera? - HTC Sensation

Hi, something that's very irritating to me is the front facing camera issue when you take a picture... you snap a pic and when you go to view it, the picture is reverted in the opposite direction.. can someone take a pic and see what im talking about?

Yeah it does it on mine as well. Appears to be a mirror image of what you are looking at on the screen when the picture is taken.

Yes and then it turn when the pic is completed which is annoying.. that needs to be fixed

sadly this has been the deal with HTC (all?) phones with a front facing camera since the MyTouch4G came out. The software will mirror you so that you see what you'd see in a mirror. this is just plain stupid & I wish it'd show you the mirror image but not actually process the picture that way & leave it like it should be.

So people, there arent any settings to fix this issue?

Blurry front facing camera photos

When I take pictures with the front facing camera they come out looking pretty blurry and very bad quality. Is there something I am doing wrong? Does this happen to anyone else? The regular camera is fine but not the front facing camera.

are you sure noting is blocking the front camera? My front camera is fine. even though with less mpix it takes decent pictures under a good light.
Nothing is blocking it. Maybe it is just my phone

It might be but before doing any actions. Try something like instagram and see it that makes any change. If not master reset your phone and try again. If that step does not help. If you are under warranty get a warranty replacement.
Did you make sure the lens is clean? I remember when I first got my S3, I freaked out because of blurry pictures, but then I realized the lens had a film over it and just needed a good wipe.

[Q] Camera focus issue

Hi there.
Since we have working android 4.3 builds for our sensation (I think it's since then, not sure) the camera does somehow not work properly.
Sometime focus is fine, but most of the time I'm able to see how the picture gets clear and then they get blurred again while focusing. It's the same for auto focus and manual focus.
Is that a general issue? Does somebody maybe know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

I'm using focal, even there it doesn't work.
It's easy to reproduce if you try to take a picture of a written piece of paper. The text will be blurred most of the time.

I have "very" tiny red dots
Since i Got my Sensation, I had never take a 100% good pic but, trying to get better quality its like an hardware issue. Clean the lens will not change anything

That's not what I mean. I mean it looks like that picture I attached.
It is unreadable, though there is no zoom. While focusing I can see it gets clear, but then it goes back to that.
I think we got a bad sync Between Camera app and Flash.
With better brightness the picture is better but in the darkness the flash can't be at good time to make better picture
Just what i think since i got Sensation

I don't know how all of that works, but I didn't use flash for that picture and I remember that with stock rom and and 4.2.2 based rom it worked good.

Yes, this is by design. In effect the picture that you get from the front camera is reversed in order to make it as if someone else had taken the picture in the normal fashion. If you really want the mirror image, just use the image editor to flip it.
Pretty much every front facing camera phone I've had done this. Actually it doesn't come out in reverse. It comes out correct. The image is reversed on the screen. This is so its familiar like a mirror. If you've got chocolate on your face, its easier to guide yourself looking in a mirror

could you post some screenshots and perhaps point out what you are trying to do
i dont think i quite understand your issue,
if you are refering to not being able to focus in generall, ive typically found that its good to use touch focus then pick an objec that has easy to see edges

Just got my s8 plus from tmobile today and need help asap

So I got my Phone a day early, and when I opened MY SELFIE CAMERA. IT HAD 2 WINDOWS LIKE it was trying to take a picture of myself twice.

Couldn't make mine do anything like the split screen you have going on. Might try going into the phone settings and at the bottom is "reset settings".
One clue may be that I don't have the icon with the 6 squares in the upper right or the one you have in the lower right. Looks like something to do with accessibility options?
To me it looks like almost hes using iris sensor camera, because of how the picture looks greenish and all...

I tried resetting everything don't work
I belive thats is a new feature that Samsung has. It splits the screen allowing you to see the picture results on the above one and the lower is your camera. Its not taking two images, just reviewing the picture you just took.
Havent gotten my S8 yet, so dont know if one can disable it.
Send it for replacement. That looks like a manufacturer defect
Did you do the software update? I received mine yesterday afternoon and updated right out the box.

yeah i did, maybe when i first got the phone i used iris scanner and probably bugged out.
I tried modifying the settings of the front camera of the S8+ but was unable to get the same issue as you have.
I dont have the 6 square icon on the top and the download icon on the bottom righ side.
Did you downloaded or enabled a camera/photo effect from the Galaxy Apps store?

This normal. It is a function you are seeing what the pic will look like and or the last pic you took so you can judge differnt poses or what not
