Hi, something that's very irritating to me is the front facing camera issue when you take a picture... you snap a pic and when you go to view it, the picture is reverted in the opposite direction.. can someone take a pic and see what im talking about?
Yeah it does it on mine as well. Appears to be a mirror image of what you are looking at on the screen when the picture is taken.

Yes and then it turn when the pic is completed which is annoying.. that needs to be fixed
sadly this has been the deal with HTC (all?) phones with a front facing camera since the MyTouch4G came out. The software will mirror you so that you see what you'd see in a mirror. this is just plain stupid & I wish it'd show you the mirror image but not actually process the picture that way & leave it like it should be.
So people, there arent any settings to fix this issue?

Ummm let's use the SEARCH feature before we go and open new threads mmmk...... There is already at least 3 different threads that cover this.
My nexus camera seems to be broken. The lens constantly moves and shifts around, making non stop clicking. I can't take videos because doing a simple pan results in a shakey video that jumps up down or shakes sideways.
Has anyone else experienced this with their nexus? Is this a hardware problem or the camera focus issue people are talking about? Because this is really bad, worse than just getting unfocused photos..
Edit: I'm thinking my image stabilization is picking up wrong input and trying to correct the lens for no reason resulting in the constant shifting.
From my understanding IS is either working or not, so if the OIS controller was broken I'd get no image stabilization, so it could be software (not just the camera app, something in the internals of the system)
Does anyone have an idea what is wrong and how to fix this?
Is the cell repair shop using oem products to replace?
Sent from this crappy Nexus 5

I 100% agree with this. Mine is completely clean with no problems - no sounds or anything.
Hi there.
Since we have working android 4.3 builds for our sensation (I think it's since then, not sure) the camera does somehow not work properly.
Sometime focus is fine, but most of the time I'm able to see how the picture gets clear and then they get blurred again while focusing. It's the same for auto focus and manual focus.
Is that a general issue? Does somebody maybe know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

I'm using focal, even there it doesn't work.
It's easy to reproduce if you try to take a picture of a written piece of paper. The text will be blurred most of the time.

I have "very" tiny red dots
Since i Got my Sensation, I had never take a 100% good pic but, trying to get better quality its like an hardware issue. Clean the lens will not change anything

That's not what I mean. I mean it looks like that picture I attached.
It is unreadable, though there is no zoom. While focusing I can see it gets clear, but then it goes back to that.
I think we got a bad sync Between Camera app and Flash.
With better brightness the picture is better but in the darkness the flash can't be at good time to make better picture
Just what i think since i got Sensation

I don't know how all of that works, but I didn't use flash for that picture and I remember that with stock rom and and 4.2.2 based rom it worked good.
Does any one else have any issue with recorded videos not focusing? Stays blurry when recording.

This may be your issue. If it is, take some toothpaste and rub it with a q-tip for a few minutes.

You tried tapping on the screen to get it to focus? I know it's sounds like a silly question but YOU NEVER KNOW! lol
I guess I didn't give enough info, it does take pics in focus sometimes. Not sure if it is a lighting/crappy camera combo or what. I had one video that was all blurry and the last minute jumped into focus. Just don't know what to make of it.
Unfortunately I tried that but it didn't really work.
Sometime I have to focus on holding my camera really steady or else it gets blurry fast.

The one thing I noticed is it doesnt do it as often to close up stuff. The biggest culprit was in a gym at my daughters cheer competition, a couple weeks in a row it would be in focus then i would click start and it would click out of focus and stay that way even if i tried to refocus. Just baffles me because it used to work really good.
If I take pictures of something white in low light conditions, there is a pink tint in the center. Anybody else has this problem?

Yours looks okay but it does look like to have a slight whiteish hue when my screen is very bright.

Does not look at obvious but I am pretty sure it is a hardware defect. You should just return it and get another unit, maybe even get the Fold 3 and not the Flip 3

I don't know. I replaced my unit and the new one still has is, but it's much better than the first. It's impossible that all three sensors are faulty on 2 different phones. Or maybe extremely bad luck.
300 people looked at this thread and only one of them the was willing to take a picture to see if this is software or hardware. They just don't care or don't know how to take pictures, maybe.

It's also possible they are busy with other things and didn't see the value in posting "haven't noticed" but hopefully calling them ignorant will get better results.
Haven't seen anything like the first picture, but the second two seem fairly normal.
Using night mode will tend to increase the effect. Unfortunately, this isn't an S21 / Note 20 Ultra that has the "top of the line" image processing software, so it tends to make a less effective attempt to improve the image. If you watch carefully, you will see the image capture with "proper" white, but then process and appear with a hue. You only have an instant to catch it, but you can see it happen.

Sure. Everyone is busy. They don't need to post "haven't noticed". Just post some sample photos. The time that takes someone to write a useless replay, like yours, could be used to take a picture instead.

You already said you have the issue, so you don't need to post a picture. I believe you.

I was busy taking photos, comparing them to yours, and editing my post while you wrote that. Sometimes it pays to be just a little patient before you start bashing people.

I'm not bashing anyone. I'm always willing to help if I see someone on xda that needs help and I got the knowledge. This problem doesn't require any knowledge. Anybody can take a picture, as long as they have this phone. I was ironic when I said "maybe they don't know how to take pictures", just because of that.
This thread has been up for 7 days and you say everybody is busy. Day, night and the weekend. But they still got time to be on xda.
Thanks for editing your first replay with some useful stuff, but I see pink on viewfinder also, not just after the processing. Like I said, I already replaced my unit and this is much, much better, almost a non-issue, so I don't care about this for myself. I see there are others that are starting to see this problem. That's why I insisted on this matter. Not my intention to offend anyone.

There is a difference between having time to be on xda reading and having the time and conditions to take a low-light photo that they are willing to post on a public forum. You also have to consider that some of the traffic isn't even device owners. They are considering the device and interested in the issues or saw the thread in "NEW POSTS" and read it just out of curiosity.
Low light (and night mode) mode attempt to use the available light to adjust the picture. That can also mean the image inherits the tint of the light. Samsung has come a long way with low light photos, but they threw all that away and went back a generation releasing this phone. It will probably improve as they start to backport the new improvements to the old sensors.
