FYI... LG G2x Stock battery from Tmo has 90 a day warranty - T-Mobile LG G2x

(i was not sure if this was already posted or not, so if it was i apologize.)
Just an FYI out anyone with issues re: battery life. I just got of the phone with Tmobile and i am being sent a replacement battery. They guy says it has a 90 day warranty. I bought my G2x from a Tmo store on April 20th so i am just past 60 days... So if you are thinking of waiting to see if the "update" fixes the Battery drivers or any other battery issues... you may not want to wait to long...since we have no "real Idea" when the update will come out. The only cost was UPS ground shipping $7.99. Tmo is selling stock replacements for $49.99. Worst case is you have an extra battery for $7.99. Oh and they said the battery was on back order...but it seems like they says that for anything re: the G2x ...(even the Gingerbread/issue fix "Update" is on back order lol)

All phones have a 90 day battery warranty. Every time you buy a phone from us you have a 90 day accessory warranty and 1 year manufacturer warranty.

Yes I am sure. I was told the battery did not need to be returned. This seems to be what others have mentioned as well.

If you can read I am not the on hearing the echo. Is the person on the other end hearing themself echo when I have it on speakerphone. They say it sounds horrid and it was tested at Verizon they said it sounds terrible.

you dont need to get a referb. if you go to a corporate store theyll switch you out right there on the spot.

if you are outside your return window, they will refer you to get a replacement sent to you or you can call 611 and talk to a data tech support person and they will send you a replacement, but the stores will not replace it on the spot. they prob would if you *****ed and moaned for 2 hrs straight just to get you to leave... but their policy is to have a replacement mailed to you

I find being either a complete and total ****(which comes naturally to me) or knowing someone that works there solves the two hour problem. haha. I got an upgrade once when my phone died and wasnt insured. Didnt have to renew my contract or anything but walked out of there with a new phone. Granted, I cant go back to that specific store anymore, but I still got my way. haha.

That is not correct. A Corporate store will exchange the phone outright, if they have it in stock.

Probably just depends on who you speak to. I was in a corporate store yesterday and they told me they would not exchange it outside of the return window, and that I would have to wait for one in the mail. They had it in stock and everything, just wouldn't do it.
Same story. But the good news is when talking to them on the phone they said since the phone is only 3 weeks old that there are no refurbs yet just new factory replacement new phone just no box and battery and mem card. I'll wait till Monday and post if its new or and obvious shi**y refurb.

Well not that it matters as I'm pretty sure that this thread is dead, but I received my replacement today. The phone is in great shape no speakerphone issue, no dead pixels, all buttons are perfect. So anyone that has to get a CLN device don't panic it may be better than out of the box.

I was going to say the phone has only been out like what 3 weeks, even if it was refurbished I'm sure it wouldn't be beat to death.
I'd be willing to bet my own TBolt that you will not receive a refurbished device. It will be just the handset. No battery, SDcard, etc. I have never seen a refurbished phone actually be refurbished. They purchase devices w/o the packaging and included accessories from manufacturer's. If you choose to purchase a refurb, then you get sent an actual refurb but replacements are new 99.9% of the time. My fiancee was just outside our 14 days and needed her incredible replaced. They sent a brand new "refurb" and offered me $100 off my bill since technically I paid for a new device and received a "refurbished" unit. So basically she got a new dinc for free. Not to mention the TB is so new they wouldn't even have refurbs yet. Don't get upset till you get the device, I guarantee you will be happy with it.
BTW, for those arguing over the return policy. They will refer you to a repair center for an exchange. If your in your 14 day period however, you hold the power to either get an exchange or cancel out right so they will usually do the exchange rather than risk you getting pissed and returning the phone and canceling your contract. They'll make it as if their doing you a favor but in reality you are in charge during the first 14 days.

Yes it came without a battery cover later that night though the plastic rubber piece at the bottom of the screen popped out lol. What a joke this phone is they are sending another I hate this spending money on a piece of junk. I do love the phone but UK glad I signed only a one year contract. I'm not even picky I don't care about dust under the screen or light bleed though. But really a malfunctioning speaker and this one falling apart give me a break.

Hey guys, I have a galaxy s 4g and today was the last day to return the phone. Do you guys think that I can still get them to exchange it for the G2x tomorrow?

I doubt it to be honest with you. Highly depends on the rep you deal with though. However, when I worked for T-Mobile, this was a policy that we were typically allowed zero flexibility on. Good luck though!

You know you have 30 days to return if you pay full price right? When you call say that you called to inquire about exchanging the phone but was told you had until tomorrow, which isn't the case... When I worked for AT&T you can exchange the phone outside of the 30 days buyers remorse as long as the erturn/exchange was initiated before the 30 days were over

if today is the last day of your "14" day period or "30 day period if you bought full price" GO NOW!!!!!!!
take the phone in and describe to them why you dont like it... no internal memory..(very little) slow data... just be clear you dont want it anymore!
they will give you a full refund (may charge a restocking fee tho 10bucks usually)

well i just read the title again.... if yesterday was your last day to take it my guess is no they wont return it.... id call CS right now and see what they can do... give them sum bull **** about you having to work a double or something
I don't get it, why didn't you just return the phone for your full money back? Now you're stuck with the Samsung.
I will be taking the phone in tomorrow to my retail store and see if they can give me a full refund or exchange.

They perhaps do if he's off contract. He could just have it unlocked, sell it, and move his service elsewhere.
Got the phone! I even prayed to God in Jesus name that they would give it to me. He answered

Back Covers

I love the back cover if the infuse, but it just gets too hot. Any third party maybe metal back covers available? Kinda want to get rid of this flimy plastic.

Phone was released a little less than a week ago. their is really not any accessories for it.
maybe with in a month or so. i had the same issue with the atrix. not to many accessories for it and it was a few months old.
hit up ebay you might be able to find something there.

i have the same problem that I also need a new battery/back cover for my infuse, but mine was broken into 3 halves, i've been searching in ebay and in google for a replacement and with no luck :-( hope anyone out there who have any idea where to get one post a reply in this thread

lost phones you have to pay them a 200$ or 100$ deductible... yeah ... i forget wich one it was , and probably wait until theyre in stock, they will tell you to go to a tmobile store and get a loaner phone wich you have to leave a deposit for... tmobile insurance = useless worthless crap

nah its 130 under the insurance group asurion, my girl dropped her mytouch 4g and we went thru the whole process and tmobile said if u are insured thats what all new phones cost as a flat rate which isnt bad i guess for the g2x, but not good for the mytouch cuz its kinda old now, but....we werent sure if they sent out new ones or refurbs, we were getting told it could be both with insurance, so what she did instead of paying that 130 for the mytouch, she opened another line, and suspend the one she had for ten dollars a month... so she called tmobile and they said they were running that phone for free for a few days, so she actually went into store and got a free one, (mytouch) and just ended up giving my daughter madison the other line

Usually through insurance they will send you a new one depending on the damage. I think if you tell them you dropped it, the screen cracked but the phone still works they would most likely send you a refirb because they know you're battery and back cover are ok. Now if you drop the whole phone in the toilet then I think you get a new one in the box. Every insurance claim I've done was when I either lost the phone or once when it got ran over by a car and they sent me a brand new device. But I can see them sending a refirb if your claim only involves a cracked screen or something similar to that..but that's just a hunch since I've gotten a new one every time

at least you got the string, I just got the cup. I didnt have the premium insurance so the string wasnt covered

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh

Yesterday sd card erased all of it's files by itself. This morning I got up took phone off charger everything working fine. Went to fix my little girl a bottle came back and phone was completely dead. Would not take a charge for anything. Took it to best buy and now I'm stuck with evo 4g that is stuck on 2.3.3 for the next 3 days:banghead:

I like the Best Buy insurance personally as they have no charge for replacement phones and when I filed a claim they gave me a Galaxy S2 as a loner and the claims process was pretty painless. They don't cover from loss or theft however. Also without the Asurion insurance there's a charge for certain maintenance at Sprint repair stores.
