I'm loving my TF101-A1 and dock, I finally got my USB 3.0 extension cable and my device now charges and in windows it does recognize the device and lets me open the file manager to the drive.
My question is, when I try to use the ASUS Sync application downloaded from the Asus site, I connect my USB and I get the following error
"No Device Found"
"Please connect ASUS device to your PC with an USB able to synchronize all of your favorites."
It is connected, has anybody got this to work?
Thanks
Andy
I had the exact same issue when I first got my TF. What I did to resolve this issue was to plug my TF into my USB port on my computer and re-install "Eee Pad Pc Suite (PC version)". Once it's done installing the software, reboot your computer. Once you log into your computer, it will install the correct USB driver for your TF. It will give you a message that your USB device is ready for use. On your TF, you will see a Sync icon for syncing with your PC. Click on that icon and your Asus Sync tool will automatically recognize your TF. Hope this helps.
Mike
I get that message every time I plug in the transformer and and open the Asus sync program on my computer. I believe that if you just connect and then press the Asus sync icon in the notification pane on the transformer then the sync program will open on your computer and everything will work fine. At least that's how I remember getting it to work the last time that I tried.

Hi I hope someone helped you, I just reinstalled the driver and the Pcsuite.
But most of all I want to tell you:
Great t-shirt
What worked for me
Try going into Settings > Accounts & sync, then uncheck and check "Launch ASUS Sync". Give it a try if the solution has not already been found
I tried connecting my Transformer to my PC this morning to make copying files to internal memory a bit quicker than using wifi. Assuming it would be like pretty much every other Android device, i just plugged the Transformer in using the supplied USB cable and assumed Windows would recognise the Transformer and download the appropriate device driver.
Unfortunately, it did not recognise the device and came up with that message. So i uninstalled the generic drivers for the unknown device and then installed the Asus PC suite thinking that this would work. Rebooted computer, plugged in Transformer and again same message, device not recognised.
Why isn't this simple? I'm yet to try on another PC. Can anyone suggest any tricks to get this working?
Just download the actual USB drivers from ASUS, plug in the TF, right click My Computer then click Manage, select Device Manager from the pane on the left and find the transformer in one of the dropdowns on the main pane. Right click the transformer in the dropdown and update driver, choose to find driver yourself, navigate to the ASUS usb driver folder you downloaded and continue. Drivers should then be installed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried to manually install the drivers this way and pointing to the inf files to install but windows says they are not a valid driver installation file. I noticed someone else was having this problem in another thread and it was unresolved.
Weird. I have win 7 x64 on my desktop and laptop and never had problems installing drivers or recognition problems. Should try connecting to another machine with x64, might be a hardware problem with your machine.

If you run the asus sync or pcsuite application, either one will install automatically the usb drivers.
Remove all the drivers you have installed and then reinstall from ASUS. They may be conflicting
When using vipermod on Linux in the terminal it shows a " cannot stat " error on every line the script does. How can I fix this?

I'm pretty sure you need the specific drivers for vipermod inst. I think they are actually primes' drivers. Go to the vipermod thread and watch the video tutorial on how to install them and read thouroghly
anyone got the window driver for this device. I have been searching for awhile

What version of OS are you running?
It should install an MTP device if you have Windows Media Player 11 or newer.
Does your computer make a sound that it found new hardware when you connect it?

What version of windows media player do you have?
Here's a couple things to try:
Plug your transformer via usb. In Windows Vista, hit Start and search for Device Manager. Inside device manager, see if there are any "Other Devices". If there is anything listed under "Other Devices", unplug your transformer and see if any of the Other Devices disappear. Plug in your transformer now and see if anything appears under Other Devices. If anything appears, right click on the new item and hit uninstall.
Assuming your tablet is in full working condition, you can plug it in now and listen for the sound played in Windows when a new device is plugged in. It should also begin to install the drivers off of your transformer.
IF that doesn't work, go back to Other Devices and repeat that removal process that you did the first time. Now, download PdaNet here for Windows. PdaNet is actually a tethering software, but it will make sure you have your correct drivers installed as one of the steps during installation. Install PdaNet and follow its instructions throughout the process; it should ask you to plug in your tablet at some point in the installation process.
Good luck!

Just throwing the official Asus download link your way. It has the Vista ASUS Pad PC Suite: "These required tools can help your computer link to and sync with ASUS device".
I love titanium backup(on my rooted samsung epic) but while im STILL waiting to unlock my TF300T bootloader i want to do a factory restore but i dont want to lose my apps but more importantly the credentials with it (xm logins, dvr app logins, etc).
I don't think app backup restore can do this is there any other option?
Thanks
I'm curious to hear the answer as well. I don't have high hopes though since my Angry Birds Backup doesn't even work to restore my angry birds saves from my phone. (Able to save and restore data using this app on the stock Rezound)
There's a new app called Carbon - App Sync and Backup from Clockworkmod
(Yep, same dev..Koush...makes CM) on the Play Store. It doesn't require root and it's free.
I haven't used it but looks like without root you can back up and sync to your PC or SD card.

I emailed the author/creator. Cant even get my pc OR mac to recognize the transformer even with drivers(this was xp)
Maybe I will have better luck with win 7.
edit: i should reiterate. My xp box SEES the device, and i can browse it like a hard drive in windows but carbon the app itself keeps telling me plug the usb cable in even though it already is.

Just a shot in the dark but have you installed the adb drivers and turned on adb? I don't know for sure but I assume that carbon might need to utilize adb.
