Titanium back up question - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here's a noon question
I been flashing roms since i got my nexus one.
I got this rom (dont remember the name) that already came with titanium back up app. When i restore my apps i didnt have to install all the apps one by one.
Was that a tweak? I love tring new roms but hate installing apps one by one.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Titanium Backup asks to install each app

I am trying to get my phone to stock condition. Unfortunately, Titanium Backup keeps asking me to hit "install" for EACH of the 75 apps that I am trying to install. I thought it was supposed to be semi-automated? Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Max
I sure would like a way to do this faster too - last time I restored to stock I had 95 apps to restore ....... one at a time.......

I figured out how to do it. The paid app works perfect. I'm cheap, but it was worth it for me.

[Q] Backing up apps in Android

Hey guys.
First of all, I own a Moto Milestone.
So I'm on stock 2.1 and I want to install a custom ROM which means wiping everything.
Now, I know how to back up my apps but once I reinstall them how do I make them appear in "downloads" so I could get updates? (I'll be using File Manager from the appstore to back up apps)
Thing is I have a lot of paid apps. Will my google account remember that I payed for the and let me redownload them?
Anyone?

HTC inspire keyboard

hey I accidentally deleted my default keyboard for my HTC inspire through titanium backup and now I can't flash any HTC rom because I have no keyboard. Soo can someone please post the default HTC keyboard download please. Thanks.

If you flash another Rom you should get the keyboard back. As far as I know its included with the Rom. Reflash and you should be good.

Try loading. Attn1s stock rooted rom on your SD card and just reboot to your bootloader to flash

I can't help but wonder how you created this thread without a keyboard, considering it says "sent from my inspire 4G using XDA app" at the end of your post.
In any case, last time I checked recovery/hboot doesn't require an on-screen keyboard. Vol+, vol-, and power button.

hahahhahahah nice catch!
I have backups of cyanogenmod7 that I use. Those have a keyboard, but any NEW HTC rom expects my phone to have the keyboard already, but it doesn't because I deleted it on accident. Thank you for pointing that discrepancy out=/ Also to clarify, flashing the rom is possible, but useless because to get another keyboard, I need a keyboard to download a keyboard from the market or to get titanium backup to restore another keyboard.

LOL. What bs. The keyboard is in the rom. Anytime you flash a new rom or reflash one, a keyboard will be installed or restored. Now if you did a backup after you deleted the keyboard, well you wouldn't want to restore that backup. Download and flash the rom itself or a different rom.

CWM Question

Hey guys, so I have a question for all you that flash lots of roms.
I am currently using StockRom, but I would like to try Sky-ICS.
However, I have my current rom setup exactly how I like it, so if I do a backup through CWM or the backup manager app, and I don't like Sky-ICS, will restoring my rom bring everything back exactly how it was? Or will I have to re do my settings, and re download my apps?
It will be just like it was when you left if. That's one of the beauties of the backup. That and it can save your butt.

Hey guys I need help rom backups app which is best titanium or rom manager
Thanks

Rom manager I think only reboots you to recovery and does it, so its kinda the same of backing up the phone. Titanium backs up all the apps and its what people use to restore apps between ROMs.
