Battery charges super fast...Is this accurate?? - T-Mobile LG G2x

I've noticed that the battery charges super fast.
This is either abnormal or it just is one of the good things about the G2X?
I've never had a battery charge up this fast, especially in a smart phone.
From my experience:
The slowest charging battery goes to: Samsung Galaxy phones...
The fastest so far is my G2X...
Interesting....any thoughts?

The charger is a very high voltage one. 1000mAh and the battery is 1500mAh.

You mean high current. Not be a douche but current and voltage definitely should not be confused with eachother because one is the amount of energy while the other is just the potential difference
Don't look at a label or sign and shrug it off because the voltage is low, its current that you should watch for, but I digress lol. Sorry for the totally off topic post but its the middle of the night and my mind isn't functioning properly.

I've seen mine run up to 43C (109-110F) while charging on OEM LG charger. The battery states do not exceed 40C. What's the highest you've seen? I'm using Battery Monitor Widget.

What is the amperage on the provided lg charger? I don't have one so I don't know. I think it might be charging at too high a rate. Use another USB charger and see if it is cooler during charging.

Charging while using gps :(

Before I got this charge I ran nothing but HTC phones on tmobile. while being plugged into car charger and using gps the battery level goes down fast. It doesn't maintain the charge or add to it while navigating. Is this a samsung thing? Any remedies?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda premium
That cannot be right. Make sure your car charger, when it charges your phone, is pulling AC instead of USB.
GPS uses very little juice. Just get the 950ma Motorola charger from Amazon for 5 bucks. Something is messed up if your phone doesn't charge

With GPS on, you barely Charge with that charger? I know its limited by the kernel at 800mA or so, but damn, that should charge you up fine.
I rock GPS in the car all the time and I still Charge pretty quickly...

All depends on what you're running at that time-4G, cell and GPS reception, etc.

Make sure you are using a high amp charger. I like the one from Motorola.
Even so, with 4g and the screen on - the phone charges slowly. Turn the screen off and it charges much quicker.

Fast charge

Hi guys
Do you feel any difference in charging time using fast charge on DC power (USB) ? I don't. And I do feel it on AC power.
Thanks.

I kinda wanna time how long it takes to charge with it on and off. There's an app called battery calibration that will beep when the battery is fully charged so that would help a bit.

I hate to have to do this but(sorry beast):
The max your USB port from a comp can give you is 500ma.
The max your stock charger gives you is 1a.
The max your phone will accept is 1a.
With that said the only thing that fast charge will make a difference on is using a car charger. Those can provide between 500ma and 2a. Your phone will only utilize 1a though. Unless it's running then it will utilize drain + 1a.
Carry on.
EDIT: So after lengthy arguing/ debating/ point and counter point with Beast.
If you have USB 3.0 you can charge up to 900ma IF YOUR DEVICE IS CONFIGURED. Still looking into this one but Beast has this to say(to me):
well now that we established that u can tell me erik ur code is **** and fast charge isnt working then ull be right lol
but i know it can "in theory"(if my code is rigth) charge faster

Onite Battery Review

First off I would like to give a big thanks to James for allowing me to be a beta tester for his batteries, and accessories. Received this stock replacement with Nfc, about 5-6 days ago and have been using it since,.. great battery! And if your looking for something to replace your factory battery or just a spare, you can't beat it,..especially for what they sell for! I consider myself a pretty heavy phone user, of course don't go crazy and put the brightness all the way up or anything, but texting, phone calls, YouTube, Netflix, web browsing, I do a very good bit of it. I'll get right down to it and post my battery screen shots with the Onite,.. More reviews coming soon including an Onite extended with Nfc. Thanks again James,..this is a great battery guys! Btw phone is unrooted, completely stock

i would totally agree with the OP on this. i recieved one too for my s4 and must say if not more i am getting the same amount of time from this battery that i would get from the stock battery. would recommend anyone in the market who carries spare batteries like me.

Oh,I use NFC with S3 usually.
But I don't think it is related with the wireless charging.
Maybe you need a Wireless Charger Receiver Pad if you lay it on a charging back.
Hope is helps. Please Clike me.

You can get the wireless charger pad on ebay or amazon.
NFC is not wireless charger pad.
OP, do you need a separate charger for the nfc onite battery or can I charge it while its in my phone? I've had past experiences with aftermarket batteries only being able to be charged with that company's charger and was disappointed when that battery was drained.

2600mAh/5h=520mA at least.

The one they are making now,..should be just about finished, it's 600ma so it will be significantly better than the other one, I'll make a post as soon as I have one in hand. I should be receiving one soon, not sure what the older charger takes for a full charge I think it's 6.5 hours or longer,..which is why they've been working hard to get this new 600ma charger out.

All I got to say is that i did get those kind of batteries from ebay, and they are definitely not the mAh they say they are. I bought them for the GS3 but they died way faster than the stock Samsung battery. My advise is pay up the price for some thing better, or know that these batteries will last a lot less than stock. I am actually looking for the ones from amazon. There is a review of 6 batteries in one of the threads that says there is a battery that last a bit longer than stock. That's what I'm buying.

I agree, I wouldn't trust to use any batteries with no brand and claim to have higher mAh capacity
So what are the specs of the ZeroLemon charger? I have one from ebay that says the output is plus or minus 350 mAh. It takes about 7 hours to charge a GS3 battery.

If you get a fake I would expect to get a refund from amazon. It took 4 hours this morning to go from red light to Green (could have been less I was out running errands and came back to it green). Don't know what amp it uses, it has an ac adaptor it comes with.

Even four hours is not bad for going from 0% to 100%. I know with the stock charger the phone charges the battery in about two hours, with no usage.
