First off I would like to give a big thanks to James for allowing me to be a beta tester for his batteries, and accessories. Received this stock replacement with Nfc, about 5-6 days ago and have been using it since,.. great battery! And if your looking for something to replace your factory battery or just a spare, you can't beat it,..especially for what they sell for! I consider myself a pretty heavy phone user, of course don't go crazy and put the brightness all the way up or anything, but texting, phone calls, YouTube, Netflix, web browsing, I do a very good bit of it. I'll get right down to it and post my battery screen shots with the Onite,.. More reviews coming soon including an Onite extended with Nfc. Thanks again James,..this is a great battery guys! Btw phone is unrooted, completely stock

i would totally agree with the OP on this. i recieved one too for my s4 and must say if not more i am getting the same amount of time from this battery that i would get from the stock battery. would recommend anyone in the market who carries spare batteries like me.

Oh,I use NFC with S3 usually.
But I don't think it is related with the wireless charging.
Maybe you need a Wireless Charger Receiver Pad if you lay it on a charging back.

The upstair is right.
You can get the wireless charger pad on ebay or amazon.
NFC is not wireless charger pad.
OP, do you need a separate charger for the nfc onite battery or can I charge it while its in my phone? I've had past experiences with aftermarket batteries only being able to be charged with that company's charger and was disappointed when that battery was drained.

I wish a quick charger no more than 5 hours.
2600mAh/5h=520mA at least.

The one they are making now,..should be just about finished, it's 600ma so it will be significantly better than the other one, I'll make a post as soon as I have one in hand. I should be receiving one soon, not sure what the older charger takes for a full charge I think it's 6.5 hours or longer,..which is why they've been working hard to get this new 600ma charger out.

I don't personally have one, but a close friend purchased one and mentioned that it does take longer than plugging directly into the wall. He said it falls somewhere in between using the wall charger and trying to charge via computer USB. (which is slooow )
It is slow
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
I'll save the $70-80 and plug it in.
Wireless charging goes at the same rate as charging via USB connected to your computer, and is about 60% of the charge rate of the wall charger.
Does it still work if you have a case on top of the induction back cover?
Funny story I went into my usual Verizon and rep had a blonde moment. I asked him if they had any other charging mats for cheaper and he went to the back and retrieved the inductive battery door and said this is pretty cheap. He was convinced that was all I needed for wireless charging. He compared it to the energizer chargers you plug in for quick charges. He raised his voice when I tried to explain how impossiblle that was lol. Anyways just thought that was a quick laugh.

It will work, but will likely slow charging down even more.
I just brought the cover and the wireless charging pad back to VZW today. Once I rooted and was able to freeze the dock app, all I needed was the docking station to charge.
I froze the dock app because the phone would always eventually go into clock mode (couldn't see the home screen anymore) and VZW said that there was no way to prevent this (other then freezing the app, but of course they didn't say that).
It was cool, but extremely slow to charge and just not worth $80.
You can turn off the dock auto launch in settings, dock settings.

Absolutely correct, I had to bring the Powermat back.
I have the inductive cover and charging mat from VZW, it cost me $100 and yeah it does charge a bit slower, but it's not as bad as usb charging imo, plus I have a cord there beside my bed if I need to use it, honestly the mat n cover is a waste of money, BUT I wanted to have it and none of my friends have it so when they come over they think its neat to just have the phone sitting there charging, but def isn't a necessity to get the most out of this phone, just a futuristic feature I guess, I don't regret buying it at all, I do have to switch the back off before I put it in my shell/holster tho, but I have an extra 15 seconds to do it everyday lol.
I could be wrong, but isn't one of the benefits of this technology that it stops charging when the battery is full? I can get a full day's use out of my charge, then come home, plop it on a mat and let it charge overnight. If I plug it in, it would charge for a couple hours, then sit constantly charging at full for a couple more (bad for the battery). Seems like a worth-it venture to me.
There doesn't seem to be a thread for this, but is Qi charging better for the battery? I was really curious because I am determining to get the Wireless Orb, and was just wondering the advantage besides looking cool and no wires.

It does, but all modern phones do this with all forms of charging. Used to be bad to leave something plugged in and topped off but electronics now a days will stop pulling current when charged to prevent overcharging. So with an older device it would help, but any newer one, which qi devices invariably are, there shouldn't be a difference as far as wear and tear on the battery from overcharging.

Looking at the teardown there doesn't seem to be any way to have something in body:

That's good to hear, thanks for posting. It might work then. I didn't try it with the tablet off, just with my Note 8 and GNex and assumed the red cross means it's detected but not charging. Depending on how slow the charging is, it might still be usable then.

How many mA is your qi charger, and how many mA is your receiver on the phone? I know I shopped around for a 1A receiver for my S4, and it made a big difference in charge time. I am guessing, since the Note8 came with a 2A charger, it will need more of a draw to sustain power while it is on. I wonder if a 1A QI charger and a 1A receiver would still show a red X. I don't think the QI standard allows anything over 1A draw yet.
Any updates?
I understand it correct that it works, but very slow? This would be okey for me as it will be placed on the qi charger over night.
Please check in settings -> status if the charging mode is "AC" or "USB"!
I have an A100 that was given to me by a friend. It works fine when plugged into the charger. It says "battery status unknown" in system settings and when I unplug it it dies of course. My friend says that their dog chewed the charger cord so they put it away in the closet for about a hear and recently bought a new charger. This issue has been a problem ever sense. I'm thinking that the charging circuit may have been fried. I'm not sure however if the charging circuit is built into the battery or the main board. I can order a battery for around $50 but I don't want to spend it if it isn't going to fix the issue. I tried to OTA to ICS but it won't start the install without a battery charge at least 30%. I plan on breaking out my trusty multi-meter later today and testing some voltages at teatbpoints in the mainboard. Any other ideas? Has anyone else experienced this issue??

My A100 does the same thing. It started after I replaced the LCD. I replaced the battery with one from eBay, but it made no difference. The charge may have run down while I was waiting on the LCD, but I don't know for. As far the eBay battery, who knows about that. It could be charging circuit, since two batteries did the same thing. But, now that I think about it, the original showed 3% charge for a while which enabled me to move to another spot and plug it back in.

With my A100 not even recognizing that the battery is plugged in, I doubt charging it separately would make a difference. I just want it to "think" the battery is there and charged to at least 30% so I can apply a few OTA updates and acquire root. I don't mind having to use it while on AC power only. All I got to say is that i did get those kind of batteries from ebay, and they are definitely not the mAh they say they are. I bought them for the GS3 but they died way faster than the stock Samsung battery. My advise is pay up the price for some thing better, or know that these batteries will last a lot less than stock. I am actually looking for the ones from amazon. There is a review of 6 batteries in one of the threads that says there is a battery that last a bit longer than stock. That's what I'm buying.
