Samsung Kies can save a lot of data, music, contacts, sms for sure but you need to back them up before you factory reset not afterwards. It is not going to recover all the data you deleted.

[Q] why is my email not syncing all the time?

Hi all.
Hopefully someone can help.
Basic I've bought this tablet and it was already rooted.
I'm not sure what rom I am on but a screen picture is attached.
I am using the exchange e-mail for my gmail.
However it seems to work fine for the first few days and then it stop syncing and e-mail start disappearing out of my inbox.
I've tried deleting the account and installing them again but the same thing happens.

When it stops syncing - does it work when you sync/refresh manually from app? Do you have any battery saving apps installed? Tthose can disable network connectivity while screen is off and stop apps from background sync.
The other thought is that I wouldn't trust device used and rooted by someone else - I'd do factory reset and re-flashed ROM. Who knows what background apps are installed there?
In your email settings, try m.google.com as your incoming server.
Gmail doesn't use push when using sammy's email app. This should fix/help with auto-syncing.
Also, you have your sync setting set to peak/off peak. Maybe an issue? See if a more frequent schedule is available.
Hi guys.
Thanks for the responses.
I would flash the Rom again but I have no idea which it is.
My email settings are m.Google.com it works fine for first few days then just stops.
I then have to go into gmail to pick my missing mails.
Weird and very annoying ......

[NEED HELP] Exchange Services on Android

Hey guys,
Here is my problem:
Every time i try to setup my work email account on my devices, the setup works great for a random amount of time but then, the device go in sync loop for no reason.
The only fix i found is to disable auto sync on the concerned exchange account, reboot the device, and reset the auto-sync .... I need to do it sometimes more than 3 times a week.
If i don't do it, the device become warm and exchanges services eat my battery in 30 minutes.
I've tryed a lot of devices with lots of different settings but i'm out of ideas here. I also tried on lollipop and marshmallow but no luck.
I'm the owner of the exchange 2010 server so i can try some settings on it.
I've seen some posts here talking about this issue but no fix found there....
Any ideas ??
Thanks

Reactivation lock

Hi all,
Have been using the Gear S2 paired with my Nexus 5 without any issues. Had to reinstall the ROM on my phone. When I installed the gear software again came upon the prompt to use my Samsung account earlier used to enable reactivation. But got stuck with it. Get an error quote that it is not the same account that I had earlier used and hence not able to use my gear. Please do help in resolving this.
I have also tried checking online but to no avail.
Thanks in advance!
Are you sure (guessing you are sure) that you only have one Samsung account and are not inadvertently using a different Samsung account? I haven't run into your issue and have had that prompt multiple times when resetting my S2, but I'm using the Marshmallow stock rom.
Yes. And I have also tried all the other options I could think of. I even tried deleting the account and creating a new one with the same email id is used with it earlier but still with no luck.
