[Q]In-Call Volume Problem - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I'm a first time poster. I've been lurking and reading this board and the cyangen boards for a while. I rooted my SGS4G a few days ago and today I noticed that the volume on my calls was really low. I hit the up volume button to turn it up to no avail. It sits at the lowest mark and doesn't move. Is anyone else experiencing this? and if so have you fixed it?

I solved the issue myself. It must have been a glitch. By pushing the volume down button, the in-call volume shot back up to the highest setting. Thanks anyways, and if it happens to you just use the aformentioned solution to fix the problem.

treo 750 Volume rocker is acting strange

Yesterday I unlocked following olimpro steps.
But since I did that my up volume button is not working fine.
It keeps pressed all the way up. Pressing the down volume button it makes the volume down but a lil bit later it will be pressed up (with the annoying sound that makes when you press up or down)
I think is more a software issue rather than a hardware cause I press both volume buttons and they feel O.K.
I want to know if one of you guys experienced this issue before. And is kinda funny cause it was working fine until I ran the olimpro unlocker. I'm not telling was his excellent solution but maybe some registry keys were affected.

[Q] call volume issue

with any call i get, the volume is really loud. ive used my volume button to set it to the lowest setting and the person is still loud enough to hear if im holding the phone a couple of inches away from my ear. am i the only one experiencing this issue, and if not how do i remedy this issue? thanks for any help you can give. btw im running 7.1.0.1, stock cm kernel, and installed it through cwm.
Are you suggesting the speaker comes on automatically when you receive a call?
if its what i have, no. when i recieve a call, the in call volume is set to max, regardless of what the actual volume setting is. it is quite deafening. lol. anyways, when i use the volume rocker, the volume will still change, but then the next call will have the same issue. its as if the phone automatically resets the volume to max somehow. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

yeah, thats the same issue that i have been having. the closest thing i have found to a fix is to hit the volume up then volume down, then the volume will go down. but that has to be done on every call. i was/am hoping there will be a fix for this that will keep it down permanently

Volume buttons stop working after some time

Hi all!
Today I have noticed a very strange thing.
After 300+ hours of uptime, the volume keys stopped working.
I couldn't turn the ringtone's volume up or down, however I could take a photo with the volume buttons using the camera and I could also take a screenshot of the homescreen, but I couldn't turn the volume up or down.
This also happened a few weeks ago, after about 200+ uptime...
After a reboot, everything works fine!
I am on FULL STOCK 4.4.2!
Is it a software related bug or a hardware?
Has anybody face this issue?

Nexus 5 - Volume up button apparently stuck

Hey there,
my Nexus 5 (Android 6.0.1, Security Patch-Level: 2017/10/05) appears to be suffering from a stuck volume up button.
I have had a similar problem regarding the power button, which sent my Nexus 5 into endless bootloops. I was able to solve the power button problem by hitting the phone against the palm of my hand repeatedly.
In the case of the power button there doesn't seem to be an easy fix. Smacking it against my hand did not do the trick. The problem appears to occur randomly with the ringtone and/or media volume jumping to full blast from one second to the next.
In some cases I can lower the volume and it stays that way. Other times I can press and hold the volume down button and upon release it jumps right back to full volume.
I will try the following steps:
1) Diassemble the phone and clean the buttons
2) Flash the stock ROM to make sure, that it is not a software issue
I was wondering if you had any ideas/ additional steps, which I can take to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance!
Ron
Just got mine back from repair, got stuck in bootloop, only new microswitch helped.
I also suspected the ROM, but now it's fine again.
So I do recommend to change the microswitch, it's cheap...
Just be careful (or mention it to whoever will do it), it's being held in place not just with the solder but also somehow glued to the PCB. Don't force it too much. Take your time.

Volume rocker issue

Lately I've been having an issue where the volume rocker stops working, a reboot fixes it but it happens every so often I don't want to keep rebooting my phone just to change media volume. Anyone else had this issue before? I haven't updated since EU rom came out so not sure if this was something that's been addressed already.
