Bought my omnia 7 on 2nd day after UK launch but since then i havnt seen ANYONE at all walking about with a WP7 device, have you???????
I am one of three in my work who own one. All HTC HD7'S by the way.
I have the Omnia 7....
But i never see people with wp7 around me......
You see a few around the Microsoft campus. They all have Optimus 7s, just like me
I saw a guy watching Netflix with his Samsung Focus on the Metrolink a couple months ago, and a lady browsing the net a couple weeks ago with an LG Optimus 7. My friend has an HD7 and I have an HD7. That's it. I see a lot of Androids and iPhones when riding the train, but definately not a lot of WP7. I tell everyone I know who is considering buying an Android/iPhone to give WP7 a shot. They usually know me well enough to know that I love this damn phone.
I think I'm only one of thousand people in my workplace (ISP headquarter) who use a HD7.
but, i like it ! (Although it have so many bug..)
My buddy who works at Microsoft has one. Other than that I've seen one at the mall.
In the US, I've only seen one other person using WP7. It was also a Samsung Focus, like my own phone.
My co-worker has a Focus. His cousin (works for MSFT) has a Focus. My friend has a Focus. Another friend has the LG (works for AT&T).

School friend has a Trophy, and a co-worker has an Omnia 7, like me.
From Australia here. This guy who sat next to me on the train a week ago had the Mozart. Took my Omnia 7 out to let him know he's not alone
I'm using Omnia 7 and had 2 other close friends using WP7, one with Omnia 7 and the other Mozart.
Saw one lady on the bus using Omnia 7 and another guy near my workplace using Omnia 7 as well...
Other than that, you'll get to see the mass using iPhone with just a head turn.

because its the thread wthat inspired this poll. its far easier to see the results in a poll rather than read 50 pages of replies. speaking of which, when i say seen a phone in pubilc, that does not include in a store.

I have never seen another person with a WP7 device, and I live in a pretty big city. The only hint I ever got was girl I knew said "I'm thinking about the HD7 or MT4G" and I quickly told her to get an MT4G because Apps were important to her.
i know someone who uses a mozart and she says it sucks
i just told her it's cos she's not smart enough to use it
i got my 7 pro today, probably the only one in SINGAPORE!
I am in the UK and have seen a lot of people out and abut with the HD7 the same as me. Which is good as I never saw anyone else with a HTC Touch Pro 2 when I had one so it seems more popular than that.

I got my TP exactly 6 days after the UK got the device (thank goodness for e-bay's international sellers). I plan on doing the same for the HD. Off the topic, but when is the planned release date (and for you haters, I don't feel like searching the forums, hense why I'm asking here).

I haven't seen a confirmed release date. People have taken guesses, but I'm not a fan of that so I'll let it sit.
pdadb.net suggest November. They're normally not too far off.
Just spoke to an O2 rep and they said a new phone had just it their system called an HTC HD2 which was due for release towards the end of October.
I was surprised as they have never sold an HTC branded phone before. Also, O2 and their release dates are often way off, I remember phones being pushed months and months based on their original release dates.
Exciting news none the less.

There is no official Leo thread. Just one stating that it is the first decent phone by HTC in a long time. I did not want to go off topic on that thread as I was not making any comment on how good that phone was.
Perhaps as a Mod you could spend less time picking on long term users and more time creating a Leo section on the site?!?
If this is true it's fantastic news. I was angry they didn't have the TP2 available, only iPhones as an upgrade, but the Leo looks like it will piss all over the TP2.
I'll not have to upgrade to an iPhone, sell it at a reduced rate, and put the money towards the Leo now.

Did exactly the same as you my friend. Left O2 as no TP2. Moved to Orange on an 18 month. Mine finishes March 2011. So as you, Ill get myself a Touch Pro 3 with WM7. I like my keyboard to much to switch to a HD or Diamond.
If you're stuck in a contract you could always sell your existing handset and use the money you raise to buy a new one SIM-free, then continue to use the new phone with your contract SIM.
I prefer to use the network phone insurance as I have young kids who are very adept and getting my phone when I am not looking.
I just find it easier to call up and get a replacement if something happens to it.
Can't really do that if the network has never sold the model of phone I am using.
Looks like we'll be able to get the Leo for free from o2 on a £44 18 month contract according to engadget.

O2 normally rebadge their HTC phones as XDA phones like this one - XDA Guide (aka HTC Touch Cruise 09). A bit of a waste of time and money I am sure. Now that HTC is a pretty main stream brand they are maybe going to just sell them as HTC devices. It was only ANNOUNCED today mate, that means you can forget about going out tomorrow and actually buy one ;-)
That said, I am going to buy one as soon as I can, hopefully somewhere around the end of october if we get lucky.
Me thinks that HTC got a best seller here, and am not worried that the XDA developers won't pick up this device anytime soon.
Until then, I keep drooling over the pics & specs

I had a conversation with a supplier the other day and was left with the impression that some devices were already out there, waiting for today's announcement as the go-ahead for being able to release direct to the public as of now.
Needless to say I will be on the phone in the morning chasing up the said supplier and seeing what they have to say for themselves.
Just seen someone moaning about the price of the device at circa £550. Given the high-end spec of the device and taking a 3 or 4 year ownership span into account, I would say that this appears to be a reasonable price for a sim free device.
No doubt the networks will be doing their best to tie in the unwary into 3 year/multi dollar contracts to make a killing on these.

Btw, the device is listed on expansys for $829,99 (or €649,99).
I was told by a customer service rep at O2(UK) at the weekend, that they have the device listed for mid October release.
As an O2 customer who has a contract ending on November 1st, I am considering getting one ASAP. I am unsure however, whether to get HD2, or TP2.
QWERTY & TV out, or Monster capacitive screen. Hmmmmm.... decisions, decisions.

Availability Update
Following my chasing up of contacts today it looks like network providers such as o2 will have their stock to be released from mid October, ie next week. Sim free providers will not be getting their stock for release until a month later, ie mid November.
The above applies to the UK only; I have no idea what the position is elsewhere.

Depends on how much you would really use the TV out feature. They keyboard...thats different, for me if the on screen keyboard is at least as good as the iPhones I can dump the physical one and be happy.

First off I hope this is in the correct section, I figured it was an appropriate place as any. I lurked around the Touch Pro section for a while (in fact xda-developers was the reason I purchased the Fuze in the first place) and have had a great time playing around with custom ROMS and apps for the device.
I went back to an old Nokia device a while ago because I wasn't really using data at all, but now I'm moving to Sprint to get the Evo 4G and this Fuze is still laying around, unused.
It's in great condition, almost perfect I would say, and I'll throw in the charger and whatnot if you would like.
I'd like to give it to someone from this community who needs or can make use of it. Just post a quick reason why you would like it and within a couple days I'll decide who to send it to.

Well I would like to have your phone, since my TP has an awful ghosting on the screen which makes the screen really hard to read sometimes, but if there are other people that can make better use of it (like ROM developers) they of course have a better reason for getting it than me ^,^
I wouldn't mind to pay you the shipping costs of course, so that your expenses are covered. I'd give my current TP to my girlfriend, she has a crappy Sony Ericsson phone now
Thats a very generous offer. I do not intend of keeping my Fuze much longer personally as I am growing annoyed with microsoft. But i have yet to find any android based phone i like (Aside from the Droid, but i despise Verizon).
Unfortunately, my Fuze has a defective touch screen. My original Fuze never had working wifi, which was then replaced under insurance with a refurbished phone. This phone is great and all, except for the loose keyboard and faulty touch screen.
When i draw a line across the screen with my stylus in notepad, you can see the line curve and go under or above the dead zone, very freaky and annoying. Most likey if you are willing to give it to me, mine would be given to my soon-to-be fiance as she is leaving her host family (au pair) and will have no phone.

I don't know if you know me, but I'm Captain_Throwback, a Mod here, and also a Raphael chef. I've been having issues with my Fuze of late, and fortunately, since I have insurance on my device, I was able (just yesterday) to get a Tilt 2 as a replacement for my device. Unfortunately, that means I can longer produce Raphael ROMs for my loyal ROM users, and I'd really hate to stop doing that - it's been quite a process getting my Kitchen together (3 times now), and putting together ROMs that are stable and to my liking. The insurance company claims "right of salvage" on any replaced devices, so unless I want to pay full retail for the Tilt 2, I have to return my Fuze to them. So, it was suggested that I post in this thread for a shot at having another Fuze, so that I can continue cooking for this great community, and update my ROM which is over a month old, at this point.
I have a few dollars in my Paypal account, so I wouldn't mind covering shipping costs, and throwing a few extra dollars in there for it as well, since I understand the device isn't free. But I'm sure (as the above poster noted) there's someone who needs it more than me.
I'm sorry to hear that you never got the full potential out of your Fuze (perhaps you should've flashed my ROM on it ), but I'm sure someone here will give it a good home, and make sure that it gets used well. Happy choosing!

Over the weekend my touch screen just completely stopped working and i have not idea why, i contacted at&t for insurance replacement but they arent helping me at all, since i bought it from newegg with a service plan through at&t theres some confusion about the insurance and i think i got really screwed. long story short they wont help me unless i renew my 2 year agreement and newegg cant do anything either. im inclinded to fix it myself but im pretty broke with other expenses so im completely phoneless until i can figure something out. ive already flashed back to the stock rom and checked the cable to the lcd and that seems to be whats wrong but to get a new cable id have to order it from hong kong and that seems like the least desirable option, going 4 weeks with no phone would be terrible for me. ive got other stuff on my plate but i dont want this to turn into a total sob story, if theres any way i can get some help i would be ecstatic. id throw whatever money ive got towards it as well

sorry man but im not a butthole, im pretty screwed right now, i can upload a video with a time stamp of me trying to calibrate the phone because thats as far as i can get since i flashed it back to stock trying to fix it.

i'd like to make a suggestion.
while Captin_Throwback is hard to ignore on this (rom maker and all) i would like to suggest donating your fuze to the hard workers developing android on our devices. i'm sure they would like to have another for when nand testing starts and whatnot.

Hi, over the past few weeks I've been debating and debating whether to sell my iPhone or not, from constant scratches, to unsupported accessories, to out of sync flash, to sh*t maps... the list goes on!
So I took the plunge today and finally sold it on eBay, making myself the money I paid for it!
The question is, where do I go from here?
I've been looking at these phones in particular
Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X, HTC One X plus, HTC 8X and Nokia 920
Now I know you might say that it's all down to personal experience, but what phone would you guys prefer? I don't mind waiting a few weeks (3 max).
I use a HTC Mozart as a 'backup' phone which is very bad in my opinion, so that steers me away from Windows 8!
The reason I'm not buying GS3 straight away is due to the fact I really like getting updates ASAP and I understand the JB update isn't available yet.
Please post your opinions !
