[WTS] Touch Pro - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi ppl, after having the Pro for a month now i came across the HD. I want the HD . So this is a thread directed to ppl living in The Netherlands and want to buy an Touch pro, cause i'm selling mine.
PM me or post a offer for my touch pro
greetz,
p.s. if this is the wrong forum for this stuff pls move this thread to another forum

I want the HD as well...but will keep my Pro to test things. I've come to realize how interactive the Diamond and Raphael are, and hope the HD rides the coat tales as well.
I got my TP exactly 6 days after the UK got the device (thank goodness for e-bay's international sellers). I plan on doing the same for the HD. Off the topic, but when is the planned release date (and for you haters, I don't feel like searching the forums, hense why I'm asking here).

I haven't seen a confirmed release date. People have taken guesses, but I'm not a fan of that so I'll let it sit.

pdadb.net suggest November. They're normally not too far off.

HP 928 or XDA - is one better / best ?

I currently use hp 520 & 545 plus separate mobile fone. Wish to bolt the 2 together and stay windows friendly so feel drawn to hp928 or xda. Can't seem to identify much difference in the 2, apart from style issues.
Are there any points to note? A search on the topics revealed zip so I thought I'd post this to see what opinions anyone out there holds.
Thanks for taking the time to reply; every little helps.
Regards
Charles
Do not buy a 928. It is a truly dreadful phone - it dropped calls all the time. I gave mine away, and felt guilty for doing so afterwards.
thanks ...
thanks for that, I suppose in hindsight that's why there's not that many for sale 2nd hand compared to the xda, since they both came out around the same time.
Also, I note TotalPda are selling new 928s for around the same price as refurbed xdas, so that must also be saying something for the regard in which they are held.
Rgds
Charles
Forget hp928
Meanwhile, there is hardly any support available for it. xda-developers.com made xda the king of all pda phones.
if i were to get a pdaphone which was not based on xda1 or 2 it should be this one
http://www.pocketpcitalia.com/preview_hp_ipaq_6000.asp
Thanks guys. As I'm currently contracted to vodafone (6 wks left) I feel drawn to buying 2nd hand xda so I can try it on this network before choosing which to stay with.
BTW I posted a q ref svs providers recently and got back comments that O2=poor (as I'd noted b4 on forum) and Orange = sort of OK.
Anybody got anything else to add?
Thanks all

O2 UK to get Touch HD2 (AKA Leo) in October

Just spoke to an O2 rep and they said a new phone had just it their system called an HTC HD2 which was due for release towards the end of October.
I was surprised as they have never sold an HTC branded phone before. Also, O2 and their release dates are often way off, I remember phones being pushed months and months based on their original release dates.
Exciting news none the less.
Would be better to post your coment on the same Leo thread insted of creating the 6th thread regarding Leo!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4597999&postcount=165
There is no official Leo thread. Just one stating that it is the first decent phone by HTC in a long time. I did not want to go off topic on that thread as I was not making any comment on how good that phone was.
Perhaps as a Mod you could spend less time picking on long term users and more time creating a Leo section on the site?!?
If this is true it's fantastic news. I was angry they didn't have the TP2 available, only iPhones as an upgrade, but the Leo looks like it will piss all over the TP2.
I'll not have to upgrade to an iPhone, sell it at a reduced rate, and put the money towards the Leo now.
I recently left O2 as there was no TP2 or equivalent. I am absolutely loving my TP2 and (1) I really use the keyboard and so maybe want the phone after the LEO, and (2) its anyone's guess when they will actually release it (o2 that is).
Also, my 18 month contract for my TP2 will finish in february 2011, and so the market should be flush with new WM7 native phones.
So I am not feeling bad about not waiting.

Did exactly the same as you my friend. Left O2 as no TP2. Moved to Orange on an 18 month. Mine finishes March 2011. So as you, Ill get myself a Touch Pro 3 with WM7. I like my keyboard to much to switch to a HD or Diamond.
If you're stuck in a contract you could always sell your existing handset and use the money you raise to buy a new one SIM-free, then continue to use the new phone with your contract SIM.
I prefer to use the network phone insurance as I have young kids who are very adept and getting my phone when I am not looking.
I just find it easier to call up and get a replacement if something happens to it.
Can't really do that if the network has never sold the model of phone I am using.
Looks like we'll be able to get the Leo for free from o2 on a £44 18 month contract according to engadget.
http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/25/htc-leo-looking-confirmed-for-o2-uk-debut-will-be-free-on-the-r/
O2 normally rebadge their HTC phones as XDA phones like this one - XDA Guide (aka HTC Touch Cruise 09). A bit of a waste of time and money I am sure. Now that HTC is a pretty main stream brand they are maybe going to just sell them as HTC devices. Here is some more proof by the way, not sure if anyone has posted this but several blogs are showing pics of the latest O2 in store catalogue with a page for the HTC HD2: http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/30/htc-hd2-makes-first-official-appearance-in-o2-uk-catalog/
Its also coming on T-Mobile and Vodafone according to mobile phones direct :

HTC Leo Officially Announced - HTC HD2

Done a quick search but can't see anything on this here on the forum so here goes:
http://www.htc.com/uk/product/hd2/specification.html
Will one of the XDA moderators consider opening a dedicated forum for this device, now known as the HTC HD2 please?
I am toying between going straight out and buying one tomorrow morning, providing the stockists advertising them actually have the item in stock, or waiting until Christmas. Anyone else considering purchasing and of so how do we get the developers interested in doing stuff for this device?
Cheers
WB
LOL,
It was only ANNOUNCED today mate, that means you can forget about going out tomorrow and actually buy one ;-)
That said, I am going to buy one as soon as I can, hopefully somewhere around the end of october if we get lucky.
Me thinks that HTC got a best seller here, and am not worried that the XDA developers won't pick up this device anytime soon.
Until then, I keep drooling over the pics & specs
Clubbraxx,
I had a conversation with a supplier the other day and was left with the impression that some devices were already out there, waiting for today's announcement as the go-ahead for being able to release direct to the public as of now.
Needless to say I will be on the phone in the morning chasing up the said supplier and seeing what they have to say for themselves.
Just seen someone moaning about the price of the device at circa £550. Given the high-end spec of the device and taking a 3 or 4 year ownership span into account, I would say that this appears to be a reasonable price for a sim free device.
No doubt the networks will be doing their best to tie in the unwary into 3 year/multi dollar contracts to make a killing on these.
Let me know if you hear any news.
Cheers
WB
The device should be available before the end of this month. I'm looking forward to it
Btw, the device is listed on expansys for $829,99 (or €649,99).
I was told by a customer service rep at O2(UK) at the weekend, that they have the device listed for mid October release.
As an O2 customer who has a contract ending on November 1st, I am considering getting one ASAP. I am unsure however, whether to get HD2, or TP2.
QWERTY & TV out, or Monster capacitive screen. Hmmmmm.... decisions, decisions.
Any help appreciated. lol.
Please merge, so many loe threads now!

Availability Update
Following my chasing up of contacts today it looks like network providers such as o2 will have their stock to be released from mid October, ie next week. Sim free providers will not be getting their stock for release until a month later, ie mid November.
The above applies to the UK only; I have no idea what the position is elsewhere.
My order is just about to go in....
WB
Made my order today
Hi all!
What do you think of this model?
I fills my needs by 200%, but i heard that some software made for older 6 and 6.1 wont work on this new 6.5? Is that right? And i've also heard that Win mobile 7 is done. if so why did they not use win 7 on this new model?
Thanks in advance
****... I bought new Touch HD one week ago... Now I see HD2 and I'm not very happy...

Depends on how much you would really use the TV out feature. They keyboard...thats different, for me if the on screen keyboard is at least as good as the iPhones I can dump the physical one and be happy.
Hello all
Review Video HTC HD2 – Windows Mobile 6.5 at its best
you wont find this on Youtube

[Q] Complete lack of even preliminary reviews

I know that at least some people have the phone but there is a complete lack of even preliminary reviews on the web/here. Whats the story? Surely more than the two or three people who got their hands on one here have the device.
Can anyone point me at a basic overview of first impressions etc of the device that wasnt written in April.
i was thinkin the smae thing, not a single review or unboxing :l
I think it's because it's on an exclusive with Vodafone. (this is "logical" speculation) but I think that the techsites would prefer to get a sim-free phone (that they may sell on when they've finished testing and reviewing) and so they can't get that due to the exclusivity.
Also from what I've heard from a few on phandroid is that their pre-orders have been "delayed." Some have reported to be getting them by monday or maybe saturday (due to delivery times) but who know's if they'll give some kind of review.
The exclusivity is really annoying!! I NEED an in-depth, final build, review and video so I can decide between this and the GSII - the decision is DRIVING ME NUTS!!
Wow, it's been ONE day. Calm down! No doubt the site/youtube will be inundated with reviews as the phones start to get into peoples hot little hands!

True, but I've been trying to make the decision for literally a month now...
too eager to make a proper decision
unless testers had thiers before today. it makes sense to review after day or 2 testing. unboxing maybe tommoz as a few of us have got one. Im getting mine hopefully tomorrow.
Im there on youtube refreshing this page every hour. I need a life

You're quite right and I doubt that testers had pre-release units.
When testers have pre-release units there are normally two scenarios:
1) they release a review of a pre-release unit before it comes to market
2) they sit on the review till it comes to market which means they would have published a review today the moment they were available in stores.
So we'll most likely see reviews in two days as you said and then maybe in a week for some others. I don't think they'll care too much about whether it is sim-locked or not (I'm talking about the bigger sites as they often get loaners for their reviews).

[SANCTUARY] Ex-Desire S Users Hangout Lounge

Hello,
I've created this thread and named it appropriately [SANCTUARY] for those users that have previously owned a Desire S (and still may do) and have since moved on to to using another device. Anyone who spent time in this forum may as I've done find life outside it a very tedious place.
This was my first Android device, which I still own (as does my wife), I've always greatly appreciated the attitude in this forum and found it a safe, friendly haven especially when compared along side the chaos and carnage that can be found in the other flag ship device areas! We've been fortunate here and have mostly escaped endless trolls, pointless bickering, needless aggressive sarcasm and have historically required minimal need for moderation.
Many of this forums founding and contributing members have more recently moved on to using a variety of other main stream flagship devices (commonly the HTC One X or SGS 2/3 ) no doubt we will all move in time, but, with endless existing Sense ROMs, recently its first Sense 4.1 ROM being released not forgetting AOSP/CM10/AOKP ICS & JB ROMs still being perfected the device has plenty of life in it yet.
This thread is primarily intended as a place where those people who have moved away from the DS can come to ask questions and receive answers without being crowded out or shouted down as I've found to be the unfortunate general behavior in the mainstream flagship forums which are populated by a great deal more uncivilized users.
This isn't intended to be another [OFF-TOPIC] thread, so please continue to use the standard DS OT thread for that [OFF-TOPIC] Desire S Users Hangout Lounge for that.
EDIT: It appears that the moderators have seen to close all OFF TOPIC threads see their justification here.
If this thread succeeds that it should hopefully be inhabited by a large number of Ex-DS users and therefore users who will have a great deal of DS relevant knowledge, so new DS users are more than welcome to come to ask questions....although primarily I'd prefer the Yes/No type questions only, as if your question requires a lengthy response, its probably worthy of its own thread in the Q&A section (so create a new one - but try searching first!).
As an initial starting point, why not attempt to follow the form of brief introduction (although I reckon this will be mostly unnecessary) and let us know what device you are on now and then any question, statement or recommendation you have...
I'll start off -
Hello, I'm Ben (obviously!)
I'm planning on buying an N4 tomorrow night, I won't be alone there as I believe several other current DS users are planning on doing the same, I'm hoping that this thread can become a the haven for us all!
Ben, as enigmaamit said, you shouldn't jump the gun. Wait for a month (or at least a week) and see if there are any major flaws in the device. Not many devices come out without one, and this is LG

I hear you shrome99, but at that price I'm still jumping ship, when you consider that the N4 is Approx £200 cheaper than the equivalent other flagship devices (ie HTC One X+ or i9305) it will have to be significant issues for me to regret it! (famous last words ) Although I won't be daft enough to sell the DS anytime soon, so if there are issues then I'll still have that, although as foolish as it may be I want to be on board day 1 with a new flagship device for a change (much against my my normal better judgement!).
Makes sense It's been getting glowing reviews from all sites, I'm sure it'll be awesome.
Hello guys! Most of you probably know me or at least recognise the name....
DS was my 1st android device which I loved dearly (and still do) although it has now been sold.
Currently I own a galaxy s2 which even though I've had it only 2 months looks as though it will soon find itself on eBay to make way to get mighty N4! However I plan to hold back a week or 2 after release to get a better picture of the real life use of the phone (all his shiz re thermal throttling has got me spooked!) 99% sure I will be getting it very soon though, just awaiting some user fb from new users..... Do I really need to introduce myself? I'm sure that most of the guys/gals (are there any of those) who come to this thread will know me
The DS was also my first smart-phone and I still have it right now. It's a bit scuffed and I've replaced both the touch-screen and the LCD (butter-fingers), but she means a lot to me and I learnt a lot through playing with her. When I got the DS I was looking at several models, but I'm glad I made the choice I did as it meant I met some really good people on here.
As you probably know, I got myself an LG Optimus 4X HD which I am really chuffed with. I know that it is a locked bootloader, but I was actually after a phone to use as a phone and the contract deal was too good to refuse. I will almost certainly be getting myself an N7 + 3G in the near future as I can't root the company one I'm with Eyahl - it may be a treat to myself as I've got the big 40 coming up in a few weeks :silly:
Hello guys!! Tomorrow night or on tuesday morning I´m going to buy the Nexus 4...
Are you going to unlock the bootloader or root the device? I think it´s one of the first things I do so I don´t have to loose all my data later on.

Hey people!
Eagerly waiting for the beast, totally committed to buying on day 1. I won't be selling the DS though, for several reasons. I actually need a device I can splash android 2.3-4.1.1 with to test my apps.
