Nice!! It's listed for the P3600i, but I guess it's exactly the same as the P3600.
Anybody tried it already?? Better than a regular silicon cover?
How does this work?
If it is stretched all over the PDA, how is it joined/sealed? What about removing the batter cover or using the thumb wheel? Is it fixed like cling-film?
Also, the screen is recessed from the surround so if it is stretched around the housing and screen, then there would seem to be a gap between the screen and this cover, so what will the sensitivity of the screen be like?

If you followed the link and watched the installation video showing it being applied to an ipod you wouldn't have asked.........suggest you try that first.

looks like it would be a least 3 pieces - one for the screen, then one for the keys, and one for the back - which does not protect the sides. And the video doesn't show how it fits on the phone, it shows how it fits on the front of a ipod - so don't be a smart a*s. He was asking how it fits on this phone not an ipod dumb a*s.

Get life....yes the clip shows it being fitted to an ipod......if you gothered to watch the clip you would have seen that the piece for the back also does the sides as they wrap around.....apart from the size etc the actual method of applying this will be the same.
Next time smart a*s do your homework rather than mouthing off.

So this will be no more than a screen protector on the PDA. It will not protect the buttons or lower raised section of the housing. Also won't protect the sides (too many buttons), and it seems that the tight curves will be a problem for this cover. I can see this peeling off the m700 in a very short time

Lets get this straight....I haven't used this product...however when I saw the "link" I went to the manufacturers site to get a better understanding of it....
I watched the video and while it was of it being fitted to an ipod I got a basic understanding of how it could be fitted to a P3600i.
I didn't think it was "cling wrap", I understood that there would be several sections involved....including one for the recessed screen (yes, just like a normal screen protector) and I too would be skeptical of it protecting all parts of the phone.
There is a tendency in these forums for people to not search out information but to ask seemingly dumb questions.....
As this product is new for this model....why not just ask if anyone has tried it or ask the manufacturer for more information.....or is that too hard to do????

I actually have silicon case and screen protector for mine, but this would make it considerably smaller...

I bought it and had it send to Holland. Took about 1 to 2 weeks but ok I am not in a hurry.
The full body covers basically all the shiny black plastic plus the screen. The rest (middles of the sides and the front keys) are not covered. Also offcourse the camera, speakers etc are not covered. However, and this is probably the difference between P3600 and P3600i the front camara is covered by the shield blurring the image. Now I have already put it on the camera but the next time I would use a hole puncher to add the extra hole. I probably will use a sharp hobby knife to cut an extra hole (on the other hand I never use video conferencing).
The plastic is more stronger and thicker then normal screen protectors. Haven't tried to scratch it on pupose and guess what I am not going to do it. If a scratch forms by accident I will mention it here.
The screen takes some getting used to with the new cover. The plastic does not "slide" as easy as the original screen protector or the screen itself. Maybe this is just in the first period.
The application process it pretty easy if you just take the time. Takes about 30 minutes if you do it slowly. Only 2 minor bubbles on the back but those are not really an issue, the rest is perfect.
Hey for 20 euro's I think it is a good deal. No horrible rubber case or GPS blocking metal case for me anymore. Only downside is that if the phone is dropped now there is no protection. This is only against scratches.
Lifetime guarantee so lets see how often I have to send it back.
All in all recommended so far (but that is just after 1 day of use)

The edges that you can see in the pic don't seem to line up perfectly, how were the dimensions on the rest of the edges?
i've been thinkin of getting one of these since i saw them for ipods but that messy edge is scaring me away a little, also how are you finding the screen protector after a little more use?

Well the edges are more because of my talent I think. The reason why I showed you this is because at least you can see something. For the rest it alligns perfectly.
After using it for a while it still seems a great product. I accidentaly dropped the thing but no scratch at all. What you do notice is the slightly more pressure you need when using the stylo. Also the screen protector is not as smooth as the original screen making the sliding a little more difficult. Also the plastic sticks to your ear while calling. But all in all still recommended.

After using it a few months I still think it is definately worth the few euro's. Ok it sticks a bit when calling for a long time and I think I even managed to get a small scratch on it but I sort of abuse the fact that I have the shield. Store it with keys, never use a case etc.
No I have bought some useless accessoires such as aluminium case (blocks GPS) and the remote for mediaplayer but the shield I would really recommend.

Just thought I would warn others that after only a week of owning my cool TP I noticed a scratch on the screen and button area. A very straight score down the middle. Lucky I had my screen protector fitted else I would have been very upset.
Replaced the protector a week ago and today noticed a similar score down the screen though less deep. I then realised that this was due to a piece of grit in my pocket that had slipped between the case and the screen and scratched it as I pulled it out of the case.
I have now ordered a proper fully closed case to give full protection and hope this is a warning to others!
Definitely invest in a screen protector, they don't spoil the look of the device or impede it's usability in any way, they are easy to apply and could save you a lot of tears! Then use a decent case!
am using martin fields protectors.... it is tough enough that when i dropped my phone on the stairs, the rest of the body is scratched except the screen area and hkey areas where it is protected.
i frequently use my fingernails too. i don't trust other screen protectors... used it for my previous Axim v51 and X500 ... device gave out before the protectors.. meh.

Yes I was definitely satisfied with the Martin Fields solution, which I've reviewed on my Diamond. Will order one for my new TP as well.

I saw someone scratch the screen protector on their Touch Pro right in front of me, he had just put the screen protector on it and put it into his case, it was one of those that holds it right on your hip... Took it back out, exactly what you're talking about, a nice line right across the screen.
If using the case provided, the ribbon inside is attached so that you can insert the phone from both ends. If you feel inside, one side will be folded over and therefore sticks out quite abit which feels quite abraisive, whilst the other side of the case is much smoother because the ribbon is not folded. Inserting the phone from the other side, reverses which side sticks out more. I ensure that the screen side is always slid in with the smooth side facing the screen. So far, this has been ok.......................
I have just got hold of the HTC Touch Standard belt pouch (PN: PO S322) and it fits perfectly with a standard belt clip.
Velcro so the Sliding magnetic keyboard sensor does not go T^Ts up!!

Personally, I always keep my TP in my pocket, without a case. The only time I ever use a case is if I'm putting the phone into a bag or box with other gear which might scratch it. Also, I never put keys etc into the same pocket as the TP, only a handkerchief. I've kept phones this way for many years and never got a single scratch on my screen. The inside of your pocket is generally a nice soft place for your phone. Case not necessary! In fact, all the case does is muffle the speaker and make it harder for you to hear the phone ringing.
In fact, until I got my TP I never even used screen protectors. The only reason I'm using one now is because it came in the box!

I haven't noticed the difference in the sides. I have been using this case for about a month and haven't seen any signs of scratching to the screen (although I have a screen protector on) or any other part.

I agree with you. I always feel where the smooth side is and make sure that its the one facing the screen when I'm sliding my TP inside the leather case. So far I never had any scratches on mine.
I have noticed a small cut in my plastic (I haven´t taken of the large piece of plastic that came on then phone). From the middle of the screen and down to the edge.
I don´t get it! That folded ribbon ain´t sharp, it´s just wide, how the heck can it leave a cut like a scalpel? The other smooth side has a sharp thing in the seam, that could possibly cut but I really don´t think so.
I´m scared now, because there is a cut but nothing in the pouch can cut!

Exactly!! Same happened to me. A very straight deep cut, saved only by the screen protector. I could only assume that a piece of grit got trapped between the sleeve and the phone. This wouldn't happen in an ordinary case, the pouch fits very tightly against the screen and this is where the danger lies. I have stopped using it.
Anyone think that having the keyboard (not the touch but the tactile one) scratches the screen when closed? Also what if you don't want to use it, is it designed to fold back like the ipad smart cover and just only the tablet?

The screen is Gorilla Glass, it is harder by far than the keys of the Type Cover. You can clean the screen with any glass cleaner if you want to remove lines or smudges; they'll all be on the surface.
Both covers can be folded behind the tablet. In that position, they are inactive; you don't have to worry about hitting keys. The Type Cover still feels weird in that position, though, because the keys move under your fingers as you hold the tablet (this is one reason why I got the Touch). You can also just remove the cover, of course.
Few things are capable of scratching gorilla glass, fewer still are things your tablet is ever going to come anywhere near.
Some gems and minerals (this includes sand, both beach and builders) will do it, as will more gorilla glass shards. Plastic and metal if they had a sharp tip you might be able to do it, but you would have to be trying to do it, actually putting effort in to break your screen. The type cover certainly won't scratch the screen.
The type cover does also fold onto the back of the device like the touch cover does, the only difference between the 2 is the thickness and the fact that one has proper keys. I haven't handled a surface with type cover yet, only touch, touch folded onto the back doesn't feel weird at all. I have handled a yoga 11 though, keys on back of that were weird, very weird. But the covers come off so doesn't matter much

After changing the screen of my moto G, the new one is no longer stuck and is moving.... I had to remove the original glue (tape?) with an hair dryer.
My question is : with what I then paste the screen?

This is a very annoying problem of the chinese displays that come with a frame or pre-applied tape.
The display+lcd assembly is too heavy to be held by any normal 2-sided tape (3M 300LSE for example).
After hours of checking how the original thing was made it turned out that it has a rubber-like gasket that is glued to the frame, which acts as bonding surface for the 2nd glue used to hold the digitizer to the frame.
These are all my own findings, sadly no pne is discussing this problem anywhere or at least I didn't find any.
I've used a transparent epoxy (65-70% resin ~30-35% oxidizer so the compound hardens slower).Use a wooden tooth pick to apply the glue on the frame, don't put to much of it, just a hair-thin line.
Put the screen on and press it well and be ready to clean off any glue that may come out of the edges. The epoxy is easy to clean until it's set, use isopropyl alcohol 99% or some dry contact cleaner with a cotton cloth or kitchen paper.
The drawback of using epoxy is once it's set, you won't be able to remove the screen from the frame by any viable means.This is not a problem tho, since you can buy the whole assembly, should you need to replace the screen again.

You should apply the glue in the frame, as close as possible to the outer rim and spread it as much as possible on the thin inner lining where the plastic of the frame and the glass make contact.
You can also use universal transparent glue, like JIP or Henkel... etc.These glues are a bit more liquidish and it takes more time to set properly, but they are also more flexible and you can also remove the display with heat, should you have the need to .
Sorry no videos available on this, but with a little effort and reading you'll be fine.
liveroy's advice is great. I've followed it with success, although the screen I bought has the dreaded phantom touch issue (cheap ebay job!) and will have to go back (this issue was apparent even before I glued it to the mid-frame).
Firstly I separated the screen from the mid-frame with two small suction cups, designed for removing halogen light bulbs, on the top and bottom of the glass. This worked well, but I had to use very gentle tugs to ensure I didn't tear the ribbon cable. Because the double-sided tape used was already separating, this was quite an easy part of the job.
I used Araldite 2-Tubes Standard Epoxy, because it has a very long cure time, which allowed me to work slowly. With the screen and mid-frame completely separate and cleaned up, I then threaded the screen's ribbon cable through the hole before glueing. The trickiest bit was putting the epoxy along the frame where the ribbon cable is; to do this I just wedged some folded paper between frame and screen while I layed down the epoxy. I guess I could have just done this bit first and avoided the need for a paper wedge (this was used to prevent prematurely sticking the screen to the frame before all the epoxy's down).
I used the screen's plastic film to protect the screen from the epoxy, and cleaned the excess epoxy with an old bottle of disk head cleaner I found lying about (smelt very alcoholly!) and cotton buds. I used some clothes pegs to clamp the screen to the frame, but I took them off after a few hours. Then I left it for a couple of days. The result was as good as I could have hoped for. I can see a little bit of the dried epoxy in the very narrow trenches between the mid-frame and glass, but this doesn't bother me. Way better than having light streaming through the sides, and it seems like a really solid grip! When in use and getting warm I could still see a bit of lift at the sides, but because it was glued there was absolutely no gap.
Going back to the original need for this fix -
On my phone I believe this is due to a warped, concave logic board, effectively peeling the glass away from the mid-frame when fitted. If it were totally flat then I doubt this would happen. I guess the aftermarket screen manufacturers didn't factor this in when they decided to use "weak" double-sided tape. I've also noticed that, with the new screen in place, the outer back shell of the phone, that you put on last, doesn't quite fit at the bottom like with the old screen - there is now a small a gap where the inner plastic housing is exposed. I think this is because the new mid-frame is straighter than the old, and the old shell has itself bent over time.

Just got my replacement parts for two TF300 (these things are not meant for kids - their screens crack like there's no tomorrow).
One has a broken digitizer, the other one has broken both LCD and digitzier), so I have orders 2xG01 digitizers and 1 LCD screen HannStar HSD101PWW1 + 8mm double-sided 3M black adhesive.
I have started to work with the latter unit this weekend and here's two things that got me:
1) My question: Is it okay that the shipped LCD works but looks different than the original? The good thing is that it works. My concern is that it does not have the metal frame, but instead it's just taped around with a black tape.
I have noticed that it causes the digitizer to "stick out", i.e. it does not adhere well to the plastic frame, while it sits tight in the TF300 metal(magnesium) frame.
Should I swap out the double-sided foam tape for something thinner?
I've used the regular stregth 3M double-sided tape, which I have sliced into 2 mm stripes with Exacto knife.
Just food for thought after doing a few screens.. I actually used black electrical tape to make sure there is no light bleed.. By strapping the sides it seems to pull it all together and so far on a couple I have done they have come up well..
I agree with no light bleed when the LCD is black taped around, but the digitizer placement seems to be off (i.e. it sticks to far out to hold onto the plastic bezel/frame, in spite of me cleaning it all up and re-applying the 8mm double-sided 3M black tape).
Problem with opening it up all the time is the fine dust.. I did one on the tf201 the other day and had to reopen it to get a spec out..wasnt happy after closing it up and just up on the upper right I could see it under the glass..if urs works and it closes fine then leave it as you could do more damage then it worth playing around with it
