My phone is to slow for flash. When I use setcpu at 13000 then flash runs smooth. Is there an app that I can set where it will only boost the cpu to 13000 when flash is being used?

nope,
reason it runs so choppy is that hummingbird has no hardware acceleration for flash an vice versa
You may be able to create a tasker profile but I'm not experienced enough in tasker to say for sure.

I loaded the Blades 2 kernel on my TF along side the Revolver ROM.
How can I tell if the OC is safe and working? I am not sure if you stress test it or anything like you do on a Windows PC type device..

I've found that, in overclocking several Android devices, more often than not if you have an unstable OC, the device will either fail to boot, or will crash constantly. If it's not doing that, you're likely fine.
Um, you're not OCed yet. You need to install setcpu or cpu master and crank up the clock. Clemsyn or Blades gives you the option to OC. It doesn't just OC for you.
lol, and learn from my mistake: when overclocking, don't check the option of "set on boot" untill you have tried overclocking at the Ghz level that you want to use. Believe me, you don't want a bootloop that can only be solved by flashing or restoring from a backup.

I have done extensive overclocking and undervolting.
Set your OC and voltage settings. Then use setcpu or pimpmycpu min and max to your highest OC MHz.
Then play 1 round of Dungon Defenders. If you make it through that then open the camera.
Repeat this on every MHz from top to bottom. If you are unstable at a frequency then increase your voltage slightly (like 10 - 20 mV) and try again.
If you are stable and want to get a little bit better battery do the same thing but lower the mV until dungeon defenders crashes.
Then start to increase it until you are stable.
If your tablet reboots your way low on mV
If it freezes your low on mV
If the widgets act funny, and/ or disapear every once in awhile your in the right ball park
If everything works except your camera freezes you are very close
Some kernels have more aggressive GPU timings which you can't really change so you might want to try another's kernel if you can't get stable.
Well, it seems that I can't go higher than the 1.2 GHZ. If I go any higher, I get some weird freezes and reboots.
Now I saw the post above but I dont see where I can adjust the different voltages, etc..Maybe I am not using the right program?

What program are you using? Try SetCpu or Pimpmycpu

Are you referring to this kernel?
I'm wondering because I have never heard about a "Blades 2" kernel.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. This is what Revolver Parts calls Blades' 10-01-2011 kernel.
Blades uses some aggressive GPU timings in some of his kernels. You may want to try Clemsyn 22 if you want to try and go above 1.2 GHz.
ok so it was running ok with minimal lag now it lags like crazy where you cant even move at times with unexpected closes or pauses in the game. Very frustrating. Running Fp1 Stock
Any help appreciated
Works fine for me in Eclipse 2.0, even with conservative governor. My brother was on stock fp1 and he was lagging out so he made me root his phone and put eclipse on it

Yeah thought about placing eclipse 2.0 on the phone although i couldnt get some of the stock apps to migrate with it Backup manager, Feeds & updates, Buddies Now, and the weather widget but, ill try
Whats conservative governor ?

It makes the CPU frequency go up slower to save battery. Basically in games it reduces performance if it doesn't demand max speed all the time.
I'm running Eclipse 2.0 as well but when I play Temple run o just overclock to 1.2 with smartassv2 governor and there's no lag at all.

Interesting i guess i should try Eclipse 2.0 Just going to be hard to get used to not having my stock widgets
If I'm on Eclipse 2.0 with the stock FP1 kernel . What is the safest and most stable way to bump my Charge CPU up to 1.2 ghz ?
- I experienced quite a bit of lag as well while trying to play Temple Run .
The only way to do it on a stock kernel is with Tegrak Overclock from the Market. The free version will overclock. To make it stick on boot, you have to buy the pay version.
I was on FP1 stock and temple run was working fine without any lags. And yesterday I put the Tweaked v2.0 on my phone and now temple run lags a lot. Kinda weird

Im Running Tweaks 1.4 with PBnJ at 1.2GHz with Smartass V2 and mine lags as well.
I suspect that this may be a memory contention problem. When I play Temple Run with my phone on Tweaked 2.1 with imnuts PBJ 0524, it's horribly laggy - if my Yahoo! Mail and Facebook (official) apps are either sitting in the background constantly hitting the network or trying to reload whenever OOM-killed. If I go to Titanium Backup and freeze those two, Temple Run becomes playable again.
There are a number of fat, pushy apps out there that just won't back off even when your phone is otherwise busy, including the two mentioned above. Try trimming your widgets and temporarily freezing things you don't want to uninstall, and you'll get a better user experience on heavyweight games like Temple Run.
ya I run my charge on tweaked 2.1 UV'd at 800mhz but I use tasker to OC my phone to 1.2 whenever I open a CPU intensive game it takes a second for it to run without lag but then it works with no problems

What does your setup look like to stay UVd (which you can't do in tasker afaik) while not in the game? I've played with some things, but they turned out to be kind of cumbersome.

I run:
100mhz -200
200mhz -150
400mhz -125
800mhz -100
1000mhz -75
1200mhz -50
I'm always UV'd at the 800 mark but I think when tasker overclocks me to 1.2ghz it keeps my UV settings but idk.
edit: I use smartass v2 governor
Whenever I would have tasker take over, I would later reopen Voltage Control and all the voltage settings would be reset to their standard values.
I actually just noticed that my tasker isn't actually doing anything lol. I'll set up the task and press the play (test) button and it'll work but then I'll go into an app I've set up and my max is set to 1200 but my phone is maxing at 800 still. I don't think that voltage control and tasker integrate very well and that might be your problem but my UV setting are intact.
I have two stock Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3's. Both are running System Tuner. Neither CPU is running at speeds above 1GHz, despite the fact that each should be capable of 1.5GHz. I've tried increasing clock speed using ST and am unsuccessful. I've rooted one using the procedure at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439, and am still unable to get the CPU to run at anything above 1GHz. I've installed SetCPU, and still no success. I select 1500Hz, but SetCPU max remains at 1026Hz, even with "set at boot" selected and after restarts.
Questions:
- is this a limitation imposed by VZW or the kernel running on the phone?
- is it considered "overclocking" just to get the CPU to run at speeds higher than what it currently does (i.e. 1GHz) even if those higher speeds (up to 1.5GHz) are within the advertized specs of the CPU?
- what is needed to get past this? Is it even possible to increase clock speeds using the stock kernel/ROM, or is another kernel or ROM needed?
Thanks.

Never tried to OC stock kernel although some say you can if have root. Sure you are not on Power Saver mode. Will clock down to like 1100.

That's exactly what it was. I was only checking the governor settings with the CPU and never checked or thought about the Android level "Power Saver" mode. Once I unchecked the CPU box under "Power Saver", I was able to get much better speeds out of the CPU.
Thank you very much.
This is a really strange problem. Over the past few days, my device keeps resetting its maximum CPU speed to 1190Mhz, no matter what app I use to set the max speed; I've tried no-frills, trickstermod, and the built in cm performance settings.
I assumed it was the kernel, but then i switched kernels; i assumed it was the ROM, but then I switched ROMs; I assumed it was an app, but I factory reset and still the same. What else could it be?

i think its normal. you don't have any problems with it right? you can change profiles like 'performance' or 'interactive' if your rom allows you to do this.
think it's probably thermal throttling - use cpy spy, or something that monitors CPU speeds and check

Are checking set on reboot in the overclock menu? You lose your overclock on most roms if this is not checked.

Yeah, I think that's it; I finally got no-frills to force it to stay at 2.4ghz and thermal throttle in logcat was whining about not being able to set the CPU speed.
Hey i have tried an app called setCPU and i am trying to underclock my galaxy s4, however when i set my CPU speeds lower i still notice the other cores of my device turning on and going above the set speed. is there somthing i am missing? or is there a way to control each core?
